I just wonder, what will my gold be worth when the world economy collapse acure, how may I measure my gold when money (paper, debt) loses its total value during a collapse? Will I be able to buy food with my gold? I know i won't eat gold...

anyway...

It would be really weird for me (from a human nature perspective) if gold still has a value when people around the world are starving, who will care about glitter when starving in an economic collapse? Roothchild? Well, If gold still has a value during a collapse, then that would only tell me that the same people that created the collapse, are still very much in control. ?

Historically, every economic collapse has been swept under the carpet by war as a tool, and when I study history it seems to repete it's self over and over again... North Korea, Iran next?

So, if I buy gold for €3000, will this help me during the collapse or only when Roothchild makes paper come back to life again?

Or do I have to buy gold for €10m for it to be helpfull in any way during a collapse?

That's funny... you don't actually think that paper currency is printed on hemp paper do you? Unlike the US Constitution and many original New Testaments, modern currency is certainly NOT printed on hemp paper. Although it is a fact that back in the 1700's you could pay your taxes in the US with actual hemp. But never currency printed on help paper. LOL.

I have several of these myself. Many I saved as they are nearly uncirculated and then I started giving the new ones I receive in change away for others to enjoy.

It's still difficult to take Thai money seriously when all the colors match Monopoly money.

"Surprisingly" she is apparently out of jail again since the 25th, according to her Twitter account and based on the latest photo that she put on there they are enjoying their freedom again.

If you chek her twitter feed you will see she only spent 1 day in jail. Tested NEGATIVE for drugs. Was on a Non B with company and work permit. She overstayed a little cause she just had twins a few weeks ago. She also claims to be a "cam girl" in Thailand for over 4 years now.

She was charged with overstay, being cam girl, and selling vids. No drug charges.

My 1-year licence expires on the 4th (exactly 365 days after I got it) and my birthday is at the end of the same month. Presumably if I replace it with a 5-year one before my birthday then I will only get 5 years plus a few days. Whereas if I waited until the day after my birthday I would get nearly 6 years. That all makes sense.

But is there a point at which they say that the delay between the expiry of the 1-year licence and the request for the 5-year licence is too great and they make you start again with another 1-year one?

And what about driving around with an expired licence? What is the fine for that? 400B, I suppose.

Fine for expired license? You think the cops even look at the date of expiry?

In the past I have renewed many months after expiry as I was not in country to renew and never faced any issues.

The biggest concern I have with waiting till it expires to renew is that god forbid I'm in an accident during those few days I'm driving on an expired license I might have serious issues with my insurance company.

Ok I got it done today, both car and motosai 1 year licences renewed into 5 years.

Photocopy of passport, visa

1 medical cert and 1 copy

1 residency cert and 1 copy

I just had to do the eye, color, reflex tests, pay money (960 baht) and I was done in less than 1 hour.

You need any type of non-imm visa or you will only get a 1 year temp

I did renew before expiry but the new 5 years run until my birthday so I actually got 5 years and 7 months

I don't remember but maybe the 1 year doesn't expire on your Bday? It sounds like yours didn't from what you are posting. In the future, when you go to renew your 5 year, show up a few days after your birthday and you will get 5 years 11 months like I do.

No yellow book. But pretty much everything else. I have a folder with all the papers. I'll get a yellow book. Sounds like it's a good thing to have.

It is. and it's free. Also will never have to get a letter from immigration for residence again. Also will use it when you do the 90 day report.

The only costs involved are that you must get your passport translated to Thai.

Do you mean that you forgot to get a residency certificate at all or just forgot to get the second one?

I can see there being a different response from the clerk depending on whether you show no residence certificate or show one and say "I forgot the second".

Or the goalposts could indeed have moved since a couple of months ago.

I renewed my 5 year licenses recently and showed my yellow house book and that was gladly accepted instead of the immigration letter.

I thought that would work also, I had all my house paperwork. Lady just kept pointing to a copy of the residency certification under the glass on the desk. Wifey tried and tried, but no luck.

If it is the plastic, Bicarbonate of soda in water. Wipe all surfaces, dry off and then use one of these car interior cleaner/polishes.

I have eaten at Pao on several occasions and found both duff and his wife (gf?) both to be very friendly. They are the only workers so they don't have the time to just sit down and chat as they are preparing the food and serving it when needed.

The food is excellent. I would eat there regularly but I live on the darkside and it's not convenient to go there and when I do and find it closed I get angry (mostly disappointed). So I have not been there since they closed down last year. If I do happen to be passing by hungry and see them open then I will certainly stop in for a meal.

I agree that they need regulars to survive and I would be one of those regulars but it's just not possible with the hours they keep.

I do wish them the best of luck and hope they chose to keep more consistent hours that I can then plan to come more regularly.

Monday is BBQ (I've never been). Saturday is "international" with an emphasis on desserts but as I've never managed to try all the desserts on a regular day I dont quite see the point of having more available. I'm not really a dessert person anyway.

Sunday is great but costs three times the price.

I wouldn't go for lunch. Too many people - it's a shit fight. Any evening (except on Sunday) from 6pm is great. Not usually too many people and plenty of time to relax and enjoy.

I had an appendix operation in June last Year at Memorial. In December I had a hernia operation. Very nice, professional staff. Both operations were made the same day I came to the hospital.

How much was your hernia operation at memorial and who was the surgeon?

My favorite day by far is the Wednesday hamburger/sandwich day. I've also done the Monday bbq and the pasta day (Tuesday or Thursday I forget) and that was my 2nd favorite. Seafood is on Friday's but that's not my thing. I think Saturday might have more desserts on offer but I've never been that day either.

If there's only 1 of you and you want to make a pig of yourself then the all-you-can-eat is probably attractive.

Buffets may indeed suit people who want to eat a lot, but they also suit people like me who want to taste a little of many things rather than just ordering one or two large dishes which they may not like.

I once went to the 300 baht all you can eat buffet in central, I nearly got sick after eating for two hours and making sure ai was getting my moneys worth of food.. I rather stay away from buffets, it takes such a toll to make sure you eat enough

I just bring my Thai wife to the buffet and I never ever ever have to worry about not getting my monies worth.
