EVERY YEAR since the beginning of time...........people have said the DOLLAR will go to zero. and every year it doesn't.....
HOWEVER, there is a push/pull relationship..........
Dollar up/stock market down. or the reverse.
Oil denominated in USD
I don't think the USD will keep going up BECAUSE the stock market is going to 100,000 and oil is going to $200.
Right now it's in the "Illuminati range". strong enough to create a thread, but not strong enough to call me on my bat phone.

Here's the GREAT (joking) part....
A neighbor brought home 6 puppies just last week!!!!! As if his two dogs were not crazy enough. Oh no, now he's in the business of dogs who go crazy all day and all night.
In all honesty, I sleep with earplugs and usually get woken up every night at 3 a.m......it's not great, but if I slept in a room that faced south (instead of north) I would hear music. lol
lose-lose. RENT. It's really the only way. I've lived in many, many places..... the ONLY good places were AFTER covid and it was super quiet.
it ONLY takes ONE dog or ONE baby/child or ONE kid who loves BANG BANG music over and over and over for hours................ it's crazy, no question
then imagine 40 million more tourists....
RENT.

This is a GOOD lesson for everyone.....
No matter where you live, there might be 10000000 stray/soi dogs who will bark every minute, every night.
I deal with about 10 dogs a day........it's soooo crazy. I RENT for this exact reason.
Thailand means lots of dogs.

Back home, I've NEVER seen a 79-year old person on a motorbike. I'm not yet 60 and there is NO way I'd risk my life on a motorbike. It's an unfortunate reality here. cars are expensive, roads are dangerous.........
i've said it a million times. falangs, get rid of your motorbike NOW!!! OK, it's the other person's fault!!! you are dead.
ok, saved your life. send me money.

I've never met a responsible adult in Thailand. Never. Also never met a person who flew home for the vax. Flying home is like 30,000 baht to get the "free" vaccine. It's like saying, "Buy 10 houses to get a free bowl of soup."
I personally flew around the world 10 times to not be around people. I'm also on the internet and give advice from my high horse.

WRONG
Friday: Americans in Thailand who are undercover CIA operatives
Chiang Mai, my appointment is at 9:32 a.m.
lol
Look clowns, nobody wants the embassies overworked by 1 million jokers showing up every day saying, "can I get my vax today because last week I was drunk with a hooker and missed my appointment."
IF Americans were dying at a crazy rate in Thailand due to COVID, then it might be different. Maybe it's different in India.

Irony:
Today I had to do some business with my Thai gf. One lady (out of four) is very concerned about me and COVID. Asking 1000s of questions about what I was doing months ago.....soo strange. it was slightly insulting, but there was an error on one of our forms so maybe that triggered something (wrong date).
She was NOT wearing a mask, I was.
An hour into the conversation she left and came back with two masks on. lol
I'll never really understand anything.....lol

That's not what he's saying IMO. It's YOUR responsibility to protect yourself and family, not everyone else's to protect YOU, and I agree.
Too many nanny state believers in the world IMO.

Would point out it's up to you not to get yourself or your family members near other people.
If you weren't there, they couldn't cough on you!
What????????????????????? You mean keep your family indoors 24/7???? You mean never go to immigration??? Never let them take their kids to school? Never go to 711? This has been 19-months!!!!! what about the people who deliver food and stuff to the house???

Not my job.
UNTIL IT IS your job.....
Example: Sick person not wearing a mask coughing on you!!! Coughing on your family. Sick, definitely has the flu, and breathing on you and your family....
So "absolutely" might be "probably."
Unless it isn't your job to protect yourself or your family. If someone was breathing on my 187-year old sick grandmother........i would not say, "Grandma, NOT my job to help you!!"

Defense? Yes, your honor, a ghost was living on his bike and not letting me win the lottery.

I'm amazed this business I went to today isn't shut. My Thai is intermediate, and my fingers work....
I POINT to this drink I want...... lady looks at me. we have a little small talk. She puts ice in a glass and grabs the wrong bottle.
I say NO, I want this one......pointing. touching the bottle. Thai, fingers......lol
she immediately grabs another bottle and pours......
I act like I'm the most confused man on the planet for about 5-seconds, no words.......can't lose face, smile, make eyes looks like I just saw something impossible to explain.
i won't go back, but next time I'll pour it myself........

Despite feeling GOOD, went with the wife last week and got tested. It was over 1,000 baht but less than 1,500......forget exactly. You know how it is......wife hears stuff, gets a little paranoid, and worries until I give her peace of mind.
of course negative.
anyone else get tested? how much was it?
I knew it was negative when the lady giving me my results got a little close with the results.....she wasn't worried. lol
I did get within 2 meters of someone last night while shopping. but i won't get tested again. lol

Yes, they have treated some foreigners very badly and a few of the foreigners have contacted lawyers and usually the cases were settled out of court.
Very sad. 99% of these stories have this kind of tone. I've seen it, been a part of it, and luckily I only taught for a few years in the past and moved on.
I never read, "foreigners were treated great." lol
definitely try to get all the money you can. they tried to exact your soul for 100 baht a week, so smile and do the best you can. The "best" is when they make you feel guilty for getting paid........yea, that's a nice touch.
it probably costs them nothing if they say no.......but they will make bank if you simply say, "OK." I would dedicate months on this, and then let it go if nothing happens.

don't be selfish......be thankful they are helping humans on our planet!!
Each dose has a blue bow with the flag of Taiwan and the words, "Taiwan is a great country, send us more semiconductor chips, and we will sort-of help you against those who carry a red book."
If American sent doses to Thailand...... the response, "Thanks bro, next time in Pattaya you get 20% off falang price."

There were 66 employees there running the business that was backed by a Chinese investor,
Clear pattern. Chinese crime in Thailand is way more elaborate than dumb falang.
Falang arrested for drinking beer, crashing car, falling into lake, attacks ladyboy, sleeps in Tesco
Chinese arrested after running a 1.97 zillion dollar enterprise.
