  1. You have to be a full retard to even say this, you clearly are entirely clueless how it works here. There isn't any country that is more unequal in wealth than Thailand. Same for power play and abuse. You seem also clueless to know what they did or why they did what. This also has zero to do with denying real problems, not addressing problems and acting like a full on teenager. That comes on top of it. Our government tae home profits instead of action provide relief, lmao, at 600 baht social pensions with 20 families owning all. A Thai gets a better pension for life by just living one year in the west. There has been literally zero progress on anything for 10-15 years straight. The only thing they changed is getting everyone hooked to debts by iphone, car and house or condo. Perhaps stop comparing the west with usa too. The fact usa is mostly a failed state doesn't mean Europe is. We have great social systems, great healthcare, great education and infinite jobs and equal chances and rights. Maybe stop watching too much social media.
  2. Money can do a lot as long there isn't too much media focus on it. Where is that american guy that killed a women driving his bike up north, just to state something randomly. Long gone and home.
  3. There is a difference between being able to do it and just not even having tried, or it not being worth the time as time is money. It depends on finances too. Anyway yeah, the majority in TH can't even mirror driving a bike let alone something requiring more skill.
  4. Disliking in a comment doesn't change facts or truths.
  5. Viber is great, it's like 5-6 dollars a month for unlimited to landline worldwide only. Feel sorry for people who are to careless to just google something or ask it even easier to ChatGPT or Grok nowadays, you would have gotten this answer instantly too. If you need a reachable number yourself there is services that can forward to your current mobile number (or for businesses their staff on duty based on working schedules etc). Or you just could take a VOIP number for 20-30 a month and install a easy app to use it. It's 2026 guys. You can get high speed Internet on planes or in the ocean, get real. If you not start using AI, it will use you.
  6. I'd assume the region at least, because a wife would almost always work in the west lol.
  7. You realize you just describe a normal educated and functioning person as if it is unique lol. You get that right? lol.
  8. Help with what? Anutin his teenager way to run a country with the rest of the teenager politicians? To try and be the victim again as usual, while nothing is even going on? We all know where this goes next, bad economy and bad tourism is fully to blame on the war. This besides the fact Thailand runs mainly on liquid gas and has plenty of reserves. But hey, we won't tell the peasants that. Let em pay! If only there was a real potential problem around oil/gasoline/diesel, we have way bigger problems to prepare for. This while oil is the second most available resource after water, in the world. All this to keep the failed petro dollar alive. Science even suggests that oil is reproduced infinite. This makes the entire eco sustainability stuff a joke too, it was started by the biggest owners in this business. Anyway, Thailand is cooked.
  9. It is simply a complete different story, big time, entirely, as soon you start having children in Thailand. You get absolutely nothing while you suddenly need to pay for everything as well for 2-3 people total. I have done the calculations a few times and basically even at 3000 a month I would be better off in Europe, comparable, if looking at schooling being free, pension build up, cost of opportunity (mortgage), contributions for children, infinite jobs or a extra psychical job when wanted or needed on demand and so on and on. This changes the entire 'you could live single of as little as 1K a month' to 'you need to at least 5-7K' or you basically are living a substandard life. I actually came here with just 1.5K a month and now do well over 5K, I lived better single alone 15 years ago on the 1.5K. I basically would have the same life in Europe for just 3K a month, purely due to all being arranged there by the system properly. Suddenly to pay taxes is peanuts: People always leave out the value of all things you receive; state pension, free school, money if sick etc etc. Just to do this part yourself instead on the same level, which is base level, takes 1500-2000 a month. Tax on 3.5K would be 400 lol in EU. Then in terms of having a family and the Thai girlfriend or wife working, that rarely makes any sense at all. Just to hire a baby sitter or maid would cost half or the full wage the Thai can earn. Even at a 40-50K inter school it still scores merely a 7.5/10 in quality. Then we never even spoke for a minute about getting sick for a few years or losing income for a few years, over a 20-30 year timespan. Or the fact one is treated like a criminal by immigration regardless of doing all the above. I call it the invisible credit card without interest people use. Many are in debt to themselves big time and should have left long ago. Then we not even spoke inflation yet, it is easy to forget that in the west even as a cleaner, 3 days a week, as a couple, would bring in 100-120K a month, in Europe or USA. I am confident that except for those retired already, most people, would be better off even doing X visits a year to Thailand. In fact, it's those type of people who always appear happiest and have decade long marriages with Thais. Sure one might be rich already, but that would be a 0.1% exception. The system is designed for you to work fulltime and just have a little bit more than the fixed costs are, this keeps everyone in line. Then again realize I have this perception while earning far above 5K, if I am worried, anyone earning less def. should. Could you live on peanuts in the sticks and send the kid to a monk school too? Yes you could but in the west that would be called neglecting care and duty.
  10. The same HQ told me since 2 months that i should be able to withdraw my funds at least, having bank book passport and myself. Yet they refused each time so far.
  11. There is government systems for that, ever seen how hyper modern it is for Thais to get new passports or ID cards in places like Chiang Mai or BKK? They even have state of the art 5-10 min precise queue systems online and offline. My son his new passport was done in 1 day. All this paperwork stuff is to keep the corruption alive. They could see in a second if you are married or not, or if that Thai person is married to you. All these problems are by design, that is what makes it even worse.
  12. That is not true for what I talk about, children, the Chavez law ruling applies and gives 5 year visa's and working rights as well as social welfare access and state pension build up. There is not even a integration or language requirement. This is repeated extended up to age 18 child. As well by that time you get a passport already. Just by living there 10 years and doing nothing a Thai would get around 12,000 baht pension from age 65 lol. Let that sink in for a minute. Asylum seekers exploit this btw. In terms of married requirements, you really have to be in a bad shape both paperwise and even with just a basic job, to not meet that. To have 400K cash is a bigger achievement.
  13. A hand drawn map on the front with your passport number in bold font and a google maps on the back with QR code.
  14. I can't even access my deposits or add deposits at the moment to apply for a non-o as they require the 400K proof to even get a single non-o child visa in SE asia, which makes also no sense if they would change visa's back to 30 days and limit to 1 extension a year. How are people even supposed to get a bank account if they require a year visa to get a bank account while you need a deposit to just get a single non-o lol. Why would you have a 90 day visa to begin with, they make it as if it is only for the purpose to extend to a year by default. This also goes against international law they agreed on. You can't separate a child from a parent for financial reasons / visa reasons, if that child holds the nationality and resides there. Is same wall Trump walked against.
  15. Exactly this, the fact they make it impossible even after all these years while then whining over visa issues from problem makers, yet changing back to it being possible to just visa run, to then treat married people let alone those with just a Thai child, like criminals. It's like being permanently for life on probation in the west for real. Sure you always get it done sooner or later, but after 15 years there is a limit to ones patience and understanding on this level too. I had the same as the OP, still have, with Bangkok Bank, visiting over 6 times with dozens of documents, they ask less to open a new account. To then also know straight up that the real mafia types just get agent yearly visa's, while they ignore that and use that as excuse to continue and make life near impossible for legit people. To then add to a stuck poor FX rate, rent that increased as much as in anywhere for no reason (no real inflation), same groceries being just virtually 1:1 with Europe today. Drinks at bars same thing, food not far away too (while service and quality isn't even comparable to begin with). I'm just one drop away to spill the glass from leaving. Also there is simply no future in Thailand, they wasted the past 10 years that was the last window to still fix education in time. To change today only helps in 20 years from now while they are not even close to recognizing their mistakes and problems, in fact they make them even worse. I mean, even Thai rice costs less in Europe than in Tesco lol. To add for the retirees of today, imagine the healthcare system here in just 5-10 years from now. It won't be what it was or still is today. The only difference with developing countries is that they still have money before hitting the same problems. This effectively means you can expect another 50-100% increase on insurance.
  16. Why would i be poor after you say that is what it cost me to cook myself. Perhaps wake up, the majority of Thais rarely eat out at all. I'm pretty sure I performed 5X what you did in your life so far while not even being at 40s.
  17. That's nonsense arguments, as much as your gasoline to go there and the time it costs. You waste more time going to a restaurant. As well that the real realistic average price is more like 60-80 baht.
  18. I guess not if not having seen the most populair ones in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, there is like 2-3 dozen options..
  19. 5 baht gasoline? 5-10 minutes cooking? please, stop kidding yourself. You also insult virtually all thais.
  20. You never went grocery shopping i guess, yes you can buy meat by that weight in tesco and big c. Anyway, i already explained it.
  21. That's not true, there is barely 50 grams meat in a portion nowadays, then the rest is mostly rice. Some vegetables, herbs or spices, oil, msg. You get what you pay for or cook for with that type of diet as well. If you buy markets or normal tesco even let alone at 30-50% off after 8PM, you barely pay what, 5 baht for the chicken or pork at that weight. 10-15 baht on vegggies right away for 2 meals as well, rice portion 2 baht, some gas, oil. The average public school barely has 6-10 baht budget per meal.
  22. Yes and cooking that costs 10-15 baht. How do you think a vendor earns? Clown.
  23. Then you never seen real banh mi places, there is all types of bread in the real deal stores, as well there is tons of variations for dressing. This is just a replacement of rice or potatoes, rice being logical for a thai comparison.
  24. This person is just trolling for sure delusional. Eating out is not cheaper at all, even street food at bottom prices is double the cost. Having said that the grocery increase is real, it's like same as Europe for most things except perhaps chicken filet. This and aburd prices on rentals, both of these things controlled by a minority elite. Guess where the problem comes from?
