  1. In other countries, most notably the Philippines, ladyboys are called "shemales" and very few of them desire to have transgendering surgery. From my limited experience in the Philippines, most shemales have taken hormones or have had breast implants. But the majority of shemales are involved in the sex trade there and their conversion from gay male to shemale is more a financial decision within the scope of the prostitution industry than a psycholigical commitment to becoming a female. The same can be said of the transsexual community in Brazil.

I don't know where you heard this, but in many years of living in the Philippines I have NEVER heard the expression "shemales".

"Bakla" is the word they use.

I spent quite a bit of time in Subic Bay in the early seventies and I can tell you definitely there were no Balakas. Definitely... :D

Things tend to change over thirty years and Subic bay then is not representative of the whole Philippines today.

Myself I'm looking forward to visiting Da Nang this winter, the changes and the fact that I'm an old guy now :o

  2. You do not walk out in the road directly in front of an incoming car then stare as if I am in the wrong!!!

Also when a car is crawling behind you whilst walking down the middle of side street - here is a free tip - get the <deleted> out of the way - not walk 3 a breast happily talking completely oblivious to the world!

You wouldn't do it in your own <deleted>' country to why the do it here!?!?!

    :o

I don't know what it is with Farangs, they think cos they have paid xxx ammount for an airfafe to get to Thailand, they can swan about as they please.

I even noted a Farang who was looking at the clouds whilst walking with his Thai girlfriend who was walking backwards looking at her shoes. And another Fat Farang guy was crawling along the pavement barking like a dog whilst his Thai GF tightened the leash on his collar.

Farangs never cease to amaze me........ :D:D

It raises serious questions as to their upbringing and educational levels, let's go the whole hog and even question their parentage, obviously uncaring, probably too busy drinking and gambling to care, and don't even get me started about their Grandparents...................................

You can say anything you want about mom and dad but you've crossed the line with my grandparents.

Best by me a beer and avoid trouble :D

  3. Up-date to the first few posters about RP visas.

Upon arrival you get free tourist visa, get extention every two months, must leave after on year for as long as it takes to get a flight bach. No nothing else!

(no need go to imagration just hand your passport and cash to the TRUSTED travel services and pick up next day)

I don't know about flights from thailand, but I use Cathay out of Hong Kong direct to Cebu avoid Manilla at all cost :D

They recently liberalized the system even more. You can now stay up to 18 or 24 months without leaving the islands at all, with in country extensions. I don't believe the stamp on arrival is called a tourist visa, it is instead a 21 day permission to stay, the only way to get a real PI tourist visa is from a PI embassy/consulate outside the islands.

Your right permission to stay......haven't bine up to date with the RP forum tyed up finishing here and packing to go back. 18-24 months now? don't let my girl friend know.....no need for you to go back plenty time to make baby and be good father :o

  4. Yeah, but Cebu City is booming and is a bright spot economically. You move to a country, but you also move to a region.

The mayor of Cebu talks like Manilla is in a different country.

Davao is a safe but not for drug dealers, the mayor stated some time ago that he will kill any drug dealers in his city. Body count has gone way down this last year must not be many left.

    Pitbull Dogs: A Special Report:

    Who Is Really to Blame?

Pitbull dogs are one of the most intelligent breeds; however, that is where the resemblance to other dog breeds ends.

This breed is not like the rest. Pitbulls have had a very bad reputation mainly because they have an inbuilt aggressive and very active temperamental spirit.

Pitbulls are banned for keeping as pets in many parts of Europe. The UK has strict guidelines for forced muzzling of the dog in public, due to a large number of fatal attacks on other dogs and children.

In Pattaya, the latest victim was Mr. Ossi Viljanen's pet dog Toto, who died from severe bites by an American Pitbull belonging to a German neighbor of Mr. Viljanen from Finland. The incident happened in Chok Chai Garden Homes.

The police were called to make a report and the owner of the pitbull agreed to pay 10,000 baht the next day. However, the owner did not turn up at the designated time but came later that day. Since then, Mr. Viljanen has organized a meeting with fellow neighbors with a petition about the dangerous dog still wandering the neighborhood unattended.

To get a balanced report, we spoke to an American Pitbull owner, a member of the Sawang Boriboon South Pattaya Rescue Unit. He stated "American pitbulls are a fierce dog and they bite extremely hard. They have a locking mechanism in their jaw.

But these animals are also very friendly if they are trained the right way. I have had my dog for five years and she has never bitten any human being. People should not blame the dog for its actions but blame the owners; it's their responsibility. I think any dog without registration or a collar should be taken off the street."

Understand that these unique dogs are a breed apart; it is like owning a tiger as a pet, cute to look at but fierce by nature and extremely dangerous. Furthermore, why should we blame Pitbulls for our own cruelty? Think twice and face the truth before you accept responsibility for owning one of these potentially dangerous and restricted breed of dogs.

There will always be people that will defend the breed and that have or have had good dogs, unfortunatly the owners in most countries arent vetted and the dog can get into the wrong hands which can be fatal, we have all seen the guy covered in tattos and walking one of these breeds, you just know he had it as he is a coward or wants to terrorise people, i saw a pick up the other day, harley davidson sticker in the window with a rottweiler in the back about to dehydrate,it was totally freaked out with the heat, the owner was arm out the window trying to look cool, im not violent usually but i wanted to knock him out and take the dog, i felt really angry, this is the type of owner causing these breed related problems, until they have been banned ( this type of owner ) the dogs will continue to bring fear,.

Yep...always the kinda guy that has no clue about dog bread with the rotty or bull. And for recent pit bull behavior check out the reality in the U.S. just the last three mounths kids torn up, lady with her face riped up in her oun home buy the nieghbors pit who NEVER HERT ANYONE......s..t! And plenty more, it just goes on and on and the big bad boys want that thing that did that nasty act. What's needed is an invation of horny ausy sheep dogs in to the soy dog sean to asert some sheep-sence in to the gean pool, at least then theyed only bark when theres something real to bark at....ya ya can't smell(spell). Were I come from we shot unfite animals cause there better off.

  7. Thanks for the input cali4995

May be this sort of thing is going on all the time in small ways but the ones quoted from the news in this forum are always about the safe with good size chunck of change inside. I gess I'll have to keep my expensive lenses inside socks in the clothing bag so not easly seen. Just when you get your kit organized the way you want and a bag that looks like cheep junk you understand that any one who sees you using it can help you lose it. I'll just take a photo of every one that gives it a good look and tell the police man that it's one of these 5,000 suspects :o

  8. SUCCESS!! :o

Thank gawd for that! Phone up Tiger Airways this morning told them the whole sorry tale ... again ... this time the person I spoke to actually cancelled the stuck Pending booking, unlike last nights 'assistant'.

  10. Hey ...... thank you so much for your replies everyone.

Must just clear up a few issue's here though, my post kind of just "fell out" so was'nt very structured, & maybe mad no sense at all!!

    M

    Thats it?
  11. Yup return ticket out of the RP, it's the airlines that will hold you up.

I recomend getting a round trip from your first departure, can be resonable compared to playing the multi line game. Sorry to say you will lose more money playing the learn RP buisness game than you will f...ing around with air tickets. Off course you already know that capital invested there is the same as most third word countrys, you can aford to lose that much(Oh I forgot some one last year decided to anounce the the RP is now a second world country...why?) :o
