By Goong Nang(GN) Chonburi – Local residents searching for a monitor lizard at a lagoon in the Ko Chan district got an unpleasant surprise when they were bitten by a crocodile instead yesterday, April 27th, 2022. Volunteers from a local fishery office were notified by local residents in Ko Chan that their ducks had disappeared from the area every day. They believed that those ducks were being eaten by a monitor lizard that they saw many days ago. Several local residents, who were not specifically named, went down into the lagoon to search for the monitor lizard but two of them were bitten on a leg and another on a hand while in the lagoon. This will apply to brands using yellow noodles such as Tom Yam and Chopped Pork Mama but not yet ones using white noodles. Dead on the third floor of a property rented by a contractor to house workers was 43 year old Rungrawee "Rung" Saengyotha. He had two chest wounds and one to the abdomen inflicted by a knife. This was 51 year old Chaiyaporn "Jim" Wannarak. He had head wounds for which he received first aid before being taken to the police station. Jim said that he had been drinking with work colleagues when Rung stated sarcastically and with force that he was not working as hard as he should. An argument ensued in which the younger man pistol whipped the older one. The survey - done secretly so as not to alert those in charge - found that chicken, pork and vegetables given to inmates were rotten. In addition items used to cook and flavor the food were out of date. It was revealed after the meeting at RTP HQ by Maj-Gen Yingyot Thepjamnong that following a meeting of the Police Sub-committee on Discipline, Appeal, Complaints and Human Resource Management that 25 police officers were found guilty of gross indiscipline. Nineteen were sacked from the force with 6 let go. This brought the number to 88 since the start of the year with 69 sacked and 19 let go. On the side of the piece is a design that looks like a Chinese flag. There were signs of an explosion and the piece looked like it had been in the ocean 10 years, said kamnan Prayut Thanawattana who has it in safe keeping. Picture: Thai Rath There is no serial number. Thai Rath reported that over the years there have been at least three such pieces washed up in the area though none had a flag ID like this. Thursday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 4,224,008 with 28,271 deaths. The news comes as no provinces have met criteria for the declaration of COVID-19 as an endemic disease, according to the Department of Disease Control. Dr Chakkarat Pittayawong-anont, director of the department's epidemiology division, said no provinces were likely to fulfill criteria for the redefinition of COVID-19 as an endemic disease in the near future. PHOTO: Prachachat By Nop Meechukhun National – The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) to inform airlines around the world of the latest measures for air travel to Thailand, starting May 1st, following the government announcement of easing arrival measures last Friday. To create mutual understanding and allow airlines to comply with the measures correctly, the NOTAM notice is as follows: Passengers who have been fully vaccinated are allowed to enter the country without any additional Covid-19 testing. However, passengers are advised to conduct an ATK (rapid Covid-19 antigen) test if they have any suspicious symptoms. 1. Passengers who have not been vaccinated or are not fully vaccinated can have an RT-PCR test within 72 hours before departure and will be able to enter the country without any additional Covid-19 testing as well as fully vaccinated passengers. If these passengers do not have RT-PCR test results, they will be quarantined as ordered by quarantine officials and are required to conduct RT-PCR testing on day 4 or day 5 of the quarantine. 2. All passengers must have health insurance coverage against Covid-19 or a letter of guarantee of full coverage for Covid-19 treatment worth at least 10,000 USD coverage throughout their stay in Thailand. Passengers can use this insurance to receive Covid-19 treatment if they are found to be infected.
