  1. Has it completely snapped or just deformed? I had the same issue. I took it to bag repairers but they only wanted leather stitching and the like. Remarkably as it had only deformed I gave it a hefty whack and it bounced back into shape. The only similar thing I have seen is mechanics pulling a dent out of the bodywork of a damaged car. It is still working fine today.
  2. Indeed, but do the QAnon crowd believe that is what happened or was he 'eliminated' because he knew too much and what did he know?
  3. Is this a good example of a "Karen"? I never truly grasped what a "Karen" was other than a derogatory term for a woman, particularly one that specialised in complaining.
  4. Was he expelled from QAnon? I would have thought they would have given him a medal for his heroics. Has Donald Trump made an official comment yet? I have not come across anything reported.
  5. That will work from the permission to stay perspective. However if you ever wish to get a work permit in Thailand again or even do extensions based on other reasons, you may encounter issues.
  6. Considering that the QAnon community consider this guy a warrior hero for confronting Hillary Clinton's paedophile cabal (alleged by the QAnon community), the fact that he has been shot dead by police should be of interest to them and I would expect them to have an opinion. Perhaps they may find another conspiracy within their conspiracy. I would like to know what they are saying.
  7. The Chinese used to drown on a daily basis in Thailand but now the numbers may be down to as little as one a month. Compulsory use of life vests and better awareness perhaps. Perhaps also fear of the Chinese Embassy kicking off too.
  8. The big Big C on Pattaya Klang. Go to the back to their little booze hub. You will find the Dunkel there in large bottles.
  9. I think further tax rises are in the offing. Tax relief of pensions (perhaps limited to 20%) and inheritance tax. There is not much they can do since they have guaranteed no rises to income tax and employee's National Insurance. We may see changes to the borrowing rules to create new magic "headroom". I doubt a new Labour government will want to be seen to reduce spending.
  10. Big C in Pattaya
  11. I would suggest London / Essex from the accent. She is an idiot who probably pulled this ridiculous stunt for likes and clicks. Order a ridiculous amount of food and then refuse to pay.
  12. Yes, that is Soi Thaniya.
  13. Great work by the team from the National Park team. Sadly poaching is endemic in that area and a tiger would fetch a lot of money once sold to the Chinese probably for Chinese "medicine". This clearly happened in the Western Forest Complex (Uthai Thani, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi).
  14. There are sufficient calories in what she ordered to keep 7 people going for a long haul flight. Given airport prices are always expensive, I think the price is right. The question is why did she feel it necessary to order so much food.
  15. Can you clarify that the list I gave in my opening post satisfies your definition of "very basic docs". I am hoping to get it done in one trip to Immigration. I would prefer to have a risk-free approach as I do not know if I will need to contact Immigration in the last 40 - 50 days of my current stay. So far this trip I have had 3 contacts with immigration. 1. TM30. 2 COR to register vehicle in my name. 3. COR to obtain Thai driving licence. Admittedly with better forward planning 2 & 3 could have been done together. Many thanks for your assistance.
  16. Yes, I have included a copy of the original TM30 in my list. Is that what you meant? What do you mean by "basic copies of pp"? Isn't that the form for 90-day notification? Is it another form? That would cost several thousand baht either in air fares or land travel costs and Laos/Cambo visas. I feel this is entirely unnecessary as I am flying home in 40 days or so. Workcation
  17. The Thai police can be very tolerant.
  18. I am coming up to 90 days in Thailand on a DTV. Of course, the permission to stay is for 180 days. Against my better judgement, I will do the 90 day notification at Jomtien. I potentially could just forget about it and leave Thailand on my booked flight in early March (around 130-something days) Are these the documents required? Completed TM47. Copy of DTV e-visa. Copy of entry stamp page of passport. Copy of details page of passport. Copy of TM30. The situation is slightly complicated in that I visited another province and stayed in a hotel last week which definitely registered me as a guest using my passport and entry details. I hope this does not cause an issue.
  19. First stop, theft insurance. Most locals don't bother despite the fact that dealers will arrange it for you. This is due to the cost and cultural issues of considering insurance unnecessary. Second stop, a good lock particularly if parked on the street!
  20. Make each of them smoke 40 fags one after another and no cheating by not inhaling!
  21. But that is what everybody here wants to know! 😔
