Do a land border bounce.  Out & back in again in a few minutes.  At the moment, no problems.  Flying complicates things.

Not Qatar, but Emirates are being flexible & offering free flight changes.  Not sure about cancellations.  Check their webpage for updates.

Not really.  255 km to the border.   Stick to 90 to 100 where road is good, Good bypass to west of Chiang Rai,  Traffic was light.

Roadworks are between Doi Saket & road 1252 turnoff.  Then between border with Chiang Rai & the hot springs.

CM to Mae Sai took 3 hours 40 minutes
