I know quite a few hikers in their 70s. Very fit.

Are you sure? I think it is still open.
The office is, but no more re-entry permits there.

The confusing OP seems to suggest an extradition treaty with Russia. Doesn't that imply a lot of the so called refugees are soon to be extradited back to Russia when requested by Putin?

You can tell a lot about a country by looking at their footpaths. High kerbs & no ramps for wheel chair / push chair access = third world ????

I read a post on Facebook that these mines are left overs from decades ago.

Took me 2 visits to Chiang Mai immgration to get my re-entry permit, last week. Went in the afternoon, queue full. Got it the next morning after an hour's queuing.
Maybe they were extra busy, with school holidays & people travelling.

OP are you clearing Immigration at Chiang Mai or Bangkok? It used to be that you could only get the re-entry permit at CNX if clearing immigration there. Probably still is.

Immigration at Central Festival - 10 minutes and no one is turned away.
I thought they stopped doing them there on 8th March. There was an official announcement. Only at Immigration near the airport from 9th.

The cutoff date for paying voluntary NI contributions going back to 2006 is now extended until 31st July:
Thanks for that. Started looking into topping up my contributions, but can't get past proving my ID on UK Gov Gateway. Tried to scan my passport, but phone doesn't have a chip reader. Manual proof requires passport info & photo card for driving licence. My DL is out of date, as I don't live in UK. Other options such as credit record don't apply either. Any suggestions?

In the UK the high speed train or HS2,is well behind time, phase one was due to finish in 2026, now2029-33, second phase due2032-33 now due 2035-40.
Budget was 55 billon GBP now 72-98 billon GBP.
Let's hope the Thai one will be a bit better managed.
Complete waste of money!

A lot of hassle getting re-entry permit at the Immigration office near the airport. They appear to have a quota for the queue & people were turned away after the lunch break, with advice to try again tomorrow. Amazing Thailand! Should be a 5 minute job for each applicant.

How about allowing passengers with international connections with any airline to check their bags through to final destination and clear immigration at local int'l airports such as Chiang Mai?

You have a link for this plan as I don't see it anywhere.
They probably don't advertise it, but if you ask them for budget plans for people who don't use the phone much they might offer it. I pay 200 bt a month for Dtac. Get 100 mins of calls, & a limited data package at normal speed, then unlimited data at slow speed. Suits me.

Yes, but she won't be boiling them. I bet she fries them.
She does. We tried other frozen fillets & they were horrible. Full of water. Not much left when cooked.

I used dewax ear drops to soften the impacted wax (from using wax ear plugs), followed by warm water syringe.

Chiang Mai insist on an update after a trip abroad. Nothing proceeds with them until done.
