About the Student / Teacher thing they mention. Do you think that could be ED Visa as well?
EDIT:
I called a language school in bkk in Sathon, and they told me they think it will be. They will email me when they know more.

So, with what is becoming an obsession now for Gov't to open up to International travel we
can expect a 2nd wave about 3rd week of July or early August ?
And they are worrying about drinking directly out of a bottle or playing a game of pool or
darts in a bar with fellow customers who have been here for the last 4 months ?
The wife reckons that the bars should check entry stamps into Thailand & if arrived less than 6 weeks ago ,,,turn them away..... Who said Thais are Stupid ?
Just put everybody in 2 week quarantine, problem solved.

I just called my local embassy and they told me that nothing is confirmed yet. They told me to call them back early next week because they expect to have confirmations from the Thai government by then.

You'll have to wait the same as everyone else.
Did you call the embassy?

Did anybody already try to contact their embassy for the wellness tourism, and do they know what that consists off?

@reallyaffiliatedI remember talking to you a few weeks ago. The good news you got for birthday doesn’t seem so good now ? ????
I think you and I have been spending our days the same way. Wake up , check TVF , google Asian countries entry requirements , google flights , watch Thaiger news etc.
Last night was the first time I felt truly hopeless. My back up , my back up , back up plan is it out the window and at the moment I have don’t have any thing other than to wait for good news. I think this may well and truly be out of our hands now.
Yeah man.. Really sucks. I might have an option now to get a work permit through a friend of my GF her company. They are seeking English speaking foreigners with translating help. It's basically them translating and then me correcting the grammar. Will only be a few hours a week. Hopefully They will be able to get a me work permit now during the pandamic.

On another online paper BP, it says quarantined the whole time apart from during medical procedures and then exit the country.
Wellness tourist looks to be a loophole, but with stacks of entry/exits stamps in my passport I think the Thai embassy in London will know the "wellness" that I have been using lol.
Lol you know me by now, trying and trying to find something lol.
How would you approach this? Call your local embassy and try to get a visa based on you seeking wellness in Thailand?

Idk, could work if you write a very long letter about why this one dentist in BKK is the perfect dentist to clean and polish your teeth lol. They might be bored while reading half of your letter and just approve you as a medical tourist LOL.

Register as a medical tourist.
Booking with dentist: 1 filling and a scale and polish????
Who knows, might work. There's always holes in the system.

For the medical tourists, are you required to leave after your procedure is done?

Keep knocking doors, keep trying. Persistence made me really wealthy. I truly believe everything is possible if you keep trying. I'll find a way. No worries little Kingdong.

Thai ladies are resourceful and can manage without the farang boyfriend from time to time ???? as long as the baht arrives each month.

If you are from the UK or USA back of the queue anyway. Get on a boat and sneak in illegally.
The Netherlands. Not as bad as the UK. But still not even close to Asian countries their numbers.
It's super frustrating though. It would be ideal if they would just allow you to come in if you'd stay in quarantine for 14 days at your own expense. I have no problem at all with that, and it would be 100% safe.

Didn't they say that you could come in with a letter stating that you are allowed to work for a Thai company?
In that case my GF could set up the company and invite me to work?

A valid non-b visa and work permit would be needed to qualify at this time.
Not sure how you would set up a company here and get the work permit if you are not in the country.
Could my GF set up the company? She is Thai and living in BKK.

Can't wait to get back into Thailand again... Work visa an option?
I have my own internet - Ecommerce company, so it doesn't really matter where I stay.
Do you guys think it's possible for me to get a work visa with this kind of a business?

Things are starting to look bad for us non-married guys waiting to get back into thailand..
The Thai government is now no long supporting the idea of travel bubbles..
Seems like it could take a lot longer then it seemed a couple days ago with all the talk about travel bubbles..
I think they are too scared of a second wave right now.
What do you guys think would be realistic to get back into Thailand again from Europe?

I found gold in malls to be super overpriced, especially in Pattaya. There is a really nice Chinese owned shop in the City Centre there though that's pretty good. I bought a 18K gold bracelet there. It's called XinKun Jewelry.
It's actually not too hard to know if you're getting ripped off or not. Just ask whether it's 10K, 14K, 18K or even 24K gold. Then ask for the weight. Then check the current gold price on google per gram. Then calculate the total gram (weight) amount times the current gold price per gram, and you'll know the worth of just the gold, minus the labor of the piece of jewelry and the store owner's profit. I'd say 3-6 (depending on the total amount of the piece) thousand baht extra is fine.

BS that Thailand does not need expets. Not to brag but I easily spend up to a 100 to 200k baht a month in BKK. And I know many of you guys here now as well how easy it is to do that in BKK. Maybe in smaller cities and villages it's different. But expets do bring in lots of money into the economy.

Why a hierarchy.
I just don't understand that they have to limit entries of people who are willing to go into quarantine and pay for it.
There are tens of thousands empty hotel rooms, and I bet there are enough officers in this country to handle immigration.
Completely agree with this. I would LOVE to do this. And it would be 100% safe, really no reason why you shouldn't be able to do this...

Maybe a little off topic, but is it easy to get a thai work permit if you're self employed and own your own internet business?

Sucks.. not married (yet)
Some foreigners to be allowed to enter Thailand from July 1

Problem is how to trust them. If you buy a package nothing is confirmed about you actually being able to get into Thailand. So far the local embassy's have nothing confirmed yet by the Thai government.
