  1. According to Richard Barrow on Facebook : The new rules for covid extensions have started. People on VOA and Non Immigrant visas are reporting they have been refused a covid extension and have been told to leave the country within 7 days. There may be some exceptions, but it’s up to the discretion of the officer. Immigration are mainly giving the 60-day covid extensions to tourists. For example, those who have a Tourist Visa or who came in on a free visa exemption. In both cases you must extend for 30 days before applying for covid stamp. But no guarantees. You have to give a good reason. If you have already been here on a covid extension for more than a year, it’s up to the discretion of the officer if you will get it or not. Dress smartly and be polite. * I translated from the following that was sent to me by Immigration: The Immigration Bureau has approved an extension of time for visa extensions for COVID-19 reasons until 25th March 2022, under the following conditions: 1. Persons entering the Kingdom with VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA) cannot extend their visa for this reason 2. Persons entering the Kingdom with a TOURIST VISA can extend a tourist visa for an additional 30 days and then they can submit a reason to stay for COVID-19. 3. Persons entering the Kingdom as a temporary person, NON-IMMIGRANT VISA, cannot be extended for COVID-19 In the case of tourists already in the country. At the end of the 60-day period for permission to stay in the Kingdom, this time they must leave the country. Or if there is a necessity to stay, there are able to submit an application to stay in accordance with the laws, regulations, and rules set forth.

  5. This message i saw on anather forum " This post is of particular interest to foreigners in Bangkok. Thanks to my very alert wife, we discovered last Monday (20/12) that a large new vaccination site has been set up in the well-known “shopping center” Asiatique the Riverfront on the Chao Praya river district Charoen Krung/Bangkok. This is located in Asiatique, which is easily accessible by public transport and with plenty of parking. The vaccination is also for foreigners. No appointment necessary, no pre-registration, no apps (Morchana or the like), just walk-in. Opening hours 0800-1800 hrs" Can anyone confirm this?

  9. I am considering not to go back to the Netherlands but instead to Vietnam From here (vietnam) i will start with a fresh new NON-O marry visa..........is this possible? or must you obtain a NON-O marry visa from your home country Also (if possible) Must i apply the visa in person at the Thai embassy in Hanoi or through the new website (https://tp.consular.go.th/) Thank you
  10. "Immigration have been insisting on 12 months of transfers unless you just arrived in the country on a non-o visa. You would do the one year extension based upon upon marriage at Chaeng Wattana not MTT. MTT only does 30 day and 60 day covid extensions for visa exempt entries." Thank you as always for your respond - Wattana officer explicit told me to do the 1 year at MTT - I arrived on a NON-O visa till 05 oktober.............so when 04 december will come i hope that 2-3 month income abroad will be accepted.400.000 is not reachable for me now and 12 month prove 40000 is not possible because i arrived on 8 July so confusing?..........................
  11. I am not sure about that "you can apply for a covid extension in either case" just returned from Wattana and AFTER your 60 day ext to visit your wife, you must leave OR apply for a 1 year stay (this according Wattana today) Maybe because i CAN go back to my country..........i not knwo see my topis "Extension Denied"
  12. Went today, saterday,to Wattana for a Covid extension I have a NON-O visa (married thai woman) till 05 october Woman told me that i can go back to my country, but i can have the 60 day extension based on visiting my wife I choose for option 1 Covid extension for the current situation......not accepted No choice left then extension for visiting my wife Little disappointed becaiuse i thought that is was no problem for getting a Covid extension ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ They told me i can have after these 60 days a 1 year extension at MTT(400.000 baht or 40.000 baht min/per month) I only need to show a incomeletter from my ambassy and not need to show 40.000 + from outside thailand in my bankbook I wonder IF i NOT get an incomeletter from the ambassy....if i can show min 40.000 baht from abroad? This is my first yearly extension and by my knowlege i have to show 2-3 month income from abroad Now i can stay till 04 december My last remark/question is.........can i still do a COVOD extension AFTER my "60 day extension based on visting my wife" Thank you
  13. OK thats clear for me I want to use my option to extend 60 days based on visit my wife for later This will be my first Covid Extension I have been fully vaccinated in my country and its easy to go back What reason do i fill in?
  14. Good morning every one I am in Thailand on a Non-O visa based on married valid till 05 october "Thai immigration officials have confirmed that the deadline for a so-called Covid visa extension has been moved to November 26. The previous deadline was September 27. The new date means foreigners in the Kingdom can avail of permission to remain until early next year, at a cost of 1,900 baht. Anyone still here on the 60-day Covid visa extension now has until November 26 to prolong their stay with the immigration authorities. Those extending close to that date will be granted permission to remain until the end of January 2022" Do i have to go to Immigration before 05 october to extend my stay or is it now automaticly extended till 26 november and have to go BEFORE this date? Or must i go to CW-MTT BEFORE 05 october to ask for a Covid extension, because my valid date of my current Visa is 05 october Thank you all
