Well you are going to lose whats been paid so far, if you can get a buyer at 485, which about the current market price she can walk away free and clear of debt.

    I am aware of that
At this moment i am thinking what to do
But i am aware that she paid 28 installments and lose that money and have no car
Maybe the current market price is up a little or i can find a buyer
Maybe Toyota agree to take back the car and get black listed,,,thats no problem

Yes my wife has a own house

What do you mean by "Official paper Toyota"?   Do you mean that Toyota's in-house finance company provided the credit for the purchase?

Toyota Leasing (Thailand) Company Limited (Owner), Headquarters located at 990 Abdulrahimchana Building, Rama IV Road, Silom Subdistrict, Bangrak District, Bangkok.

The loan value will still be more than the car is worth. 96months  x 8700 = 939,600bt

    You currently have to pay  72 x 8700= 626,400.

    A 2019 Yaris is worth about 450,000.

    A difference of about 175,000bt.

Whatever you do, you are going to lose money.

The car has a period of 84 installments of 8,632.00 baht per installment
    already paid 28 installments
remaining 56 installments in cash = 483,392 baht

    Official paper TOYOTA

From a potential buyer's point of view, has this (not new) car had all its scheduled services over the last 2-3 years?

Yes it has.The car is "brand new" and has no issues or damage at all
She made a wrong decision to buy before our marriage and not consulting me
I had some arguments why she bought it, and it was a big mistake

At this moment the car is standing every day in front of the house and NOBODY is drving it
I am in my own country and have managed NOT to pay anything, because of the Covid situation
Toyota agreed to suspend the payment for 3 month (according the law/Covid related)
I NOT need a car.....but she did buy before and now i try to find a solution
I think she need to pay off another 500.000 baht and i will not do this.
I adviced her to sell asap and make arrangements.I will be back in Thailand next week

  6. My wife bought a new Toyota Yaris 2 years before our wedding
The result is that this new car only has 7000 km on the clock and is not used
Now, partly due to the crisis, she can no longer pay her monthly payment of 8700 baht per month.
    Questions:
1/Can she now return her car to Toyota and arrange something?
2.Can she sell the car independently to a third party
3.Can she resell the 7 year contract to a third party?

She has now paid every month for more than 2.3 years (about 220,000 baht)
The purchase price was around 700,000 baht

She will probably be on a blacklist, but that's no problem
In short: What can she expect and what is the best thing to do?

  7. I not know where to put this question about Rt-PCR Testing entering Thailand

WHICH TEST is needed for Thailand flying with Qatar Air

    PCR TEST swab
In a PCR polymerase chain reaction test, a swab of mucus is taken from the nose and throat with a cotton swab.

    Saliva
including international travel certificate in English

    OR

It is also possible with us to take the PCR test using saliva. Then NO swabs are used. ?

    Sorry if wrong Topic

Bear in mind, also, that those who have already had AstraZeneca may have to wait 12 or 16 weeks for their second jab and, then, a further two weeks to reach best possible innoculation.

Not in the Netherlands.Astrazenica now much availble and stored.Interval between 4-6 weeks
1.5 million people vaccinated per week.(maybe we are more lucky)
Also age 40 + starting.Drastic drop in infections last 4 weeks.Holland opens up
I think this is happening in almost all EU countries

Just look at the video by Thaiger about Sandbox Phuket and in coming 2 weeks we will see
exactly what the "new requirements" will be.
If the Sandbox will fail...then 15 day ASQ in Bangkok

Friend of mine arrived in the Netherlands back from work, and 3 weeks later he was with his wife in Thailand.

All paper work, tests and ASQ done in this time. No complaints from him and happy to be back in Thailand with his wife.

This 'not seen them for x months' is not necessary. Maybe spent few Euro's is not worth it for you to be with your wife?

Do not complain and wait for things to improve or returning to TH to be cheaper then now if you really want to be with your family in Thailand.

Just spent the xxxxx THB and go back to Thailand. Assume your family would be happy with that.

If you select a reasonable ASQ, it is not as bad as a prison in Thailand. Maybe you have not followed the news here lately. Maybe when you share your ASQ room with 30 or 40 others, you may call it prison.

Enjoy your travel back to Thailand.

    I agree
I was just considering 1 week "quaraintine" in Phuket, which is probably better and quicker then the 15 day ASQ in Bangkok.
But i agree to your respons

You seem to have missed the multiple news stories that have said you will have to book a 7 day package tour to visit phuket that will cost between 150,000 and 200,000 baht.

    https://www.traveloffpath.com/phuket-still-on-for-july-reopening-despite-thailands-surge/

I think you are wrong...that has been changed

What is this “7-Day Tour Package” about?? Is it required or what?

@Chris G, no it isn’t. You can book your own travel (air and hotel) to Phuket for considerably less money.

It's all paranoia until you're the dummy standing at the ticket counter and not being issued a boarding pass.

My thought is why bother?? Doubly so for Europeans and Americans who now have lovely weather.

Phuket plan is an utter joke. Thai government sure to muck it up somehow.

People don't NEED to holiday here lol. You've missed that point entirely.

For me its not a Holiday...........i am married and have a wife and daughter
Not seen them for 10 month.
I not care the bars.restaurants, girls or beach
Just want go quick and easy back to my wife

I fully understand that the government rules can change daily
Then i will do the 14 day ASQ in Bangkok..................but cheaper + faster is Phuket
Only the airline DOHA-PHUKET is NOT on the list of semi commercial flights....Qatar AirwaysQR  0840
    You can not transit DOHA-BKK-PHUKET

  12. ORIGINAL STORY: On one hand Phuket officials are extending restrictions to control the Covid situation, and on the other hand the TAT is talking up the July reopening  of the southern Thai island.
On Friday the CCSA and PM gave permission for the island’s “no quarantine” reopening to go ahead. The plan has not yet been included in the Royal Gazette approaching the July 1 deadline to reopen to international travel

    • Officials have maintained that 70% of the local population must be vaccinated before the reopening but only around 25% have been fully vaccinated
     whilst the flow of vaccines
promised for the island appear to have been diverted to current ‘hot spots’ (Bangkok) at this time

The Thai PM, and the CCSA, have confirmed that Phuket’s re-opening WILL happen on July 1. This confirms months of insistence that the plan will go ahead.
The confirmation comes against a background of daily new infections in the country of over 2,000 and ongoing confusion about the country’s vaccine roll out.Saturday’s Thailand Covid report HERE. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand announcement, people arriving in Phuket will need to be fully vaccinated, produce a negative test when they arrive in the province, along with another test on the fifth day of their visit, all at their cost.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     1. How foreigners prove that you are fully vaccinated?

    2 .Instead of a 14 day mandatory ASQ hotel.....you must stay 7 days in a SHA-Hotel (Phuket)
3 .My understanding is that you need to book a flight to Phuket directly (NOT transitting at Bangkok)
Qatar Airways has direct flights from Doha to Phuket -Operated by : Qatar AirwaysQR  0840 (not on the list?)

    4. On day 5 you need a TEST again on your own cost...How much?

I have been vaccinated twice (astrazenica) ,but there is NO official document yet, only papers with batchnumber/name/vacinne.date
Every country is not same,so how you can proof?

  13. I have been married since last September and have all Marry documents incl Khor 2 - copies ID wife - Bankbook - Copie Tambien Baan etc.
My wife owns a house and living with her daughter.
I will return end June on a NON-O based on married, hopefully the quarantaine is reduced by 7/10 day
Probobly i will take a flight from AMA-DOHA-BKK with Qatar Airway. This will be a one way flight
Off course i will ask for the COE/requirements/ASQ and Insurance
I am planning to stay as long as possible
    - 90 days based on NON-O + Extension 30 day + (if still possible "Covid Extension"  60 day) + 60 day
etension based on visiting your wife
After /during this period i will try to get a 1 year extension with the 40.000 baht/p.m method

    My questions:
    1. Do i need to fill in/report a TM30 form? (even when i am married?)
I will stay with my wife in her house for all the time i be in Thailand

2.Do i need to go i person (with wife) to MTT/Bangkok
3.My first extension for 1 year based on Married/40.000 method: Must i show 2 month on a Thai bank (oversea
transfer OR 12 month monthly income (I understand the 400.000 baht option)
4.IF my time runs out and NOT meet the 40.000 baht requirement (I can NOT show 12 month),what options
i have left after the other mentioned extensions?

5.IF i must leave the country by December/January and the borders are still closed......Maldiven a option?
(I have read that there is NO possibility to obtain a NON-O visa in that country)

Hope people can give me some advice and help me understand
    Thank you all

  14. I not have 400.000 baht in my Thai bankaccount...but do have 40.000+ monthly income
The first option you must show for 2 month
The second option (40000 bht monthly)....is that also for 2 month to show?

    My english is very bad
If TW is no option for me........that i gave no choice to transfer international by my dutch bankaccount?

Many people do use Transferwise but mostly into Bangkok Bank, as in that case it will show up as an International  Transfer. I doubt it will  for Krungsri as it is not a Transferwise partner bank, so the money will likely appear as  domestic transfer from one of those.

Some immigration offices will accept secondary paperwork ie, show the Transferwise paperwork, in conjunction with your Thai bank's, making it apparent both are tied. Also make it apparent in the TW 'reasons for transfer' that it is money going to Thailand.

i do understand....but still not sure if my 12 month extension will be ok if i use TW in my Krungsri bank
You mentioned "reason for transfer"...............i use the reason " monthly support for family"  or must i use another reason
Do you think i still can use my TW to Krungsri bank?

Or can i just sent a international transfer to my Krungsrri bank..which is expensive but its definitley an international transfer coming from abroad.Must i also give a reason when using the last option?
    I am married and 60+
    Thank you

  16. When you apply for 12 month extension being married, you tell that proof of 40,000 baht per monrh is required (2 month).....my question is:
I use Transferwise is that allowed, because i read post before that the income must come from abroad and TW
    is apparently a local transfer???
secondly if TW is NOT allowed...how you transfer money to my own Thai Bank (Krungsri)
i assume i must transfer international (which is far more expensive)

So  shortly: IS TRANSFERWISE ALLOWED for proof of 40.000 baht income
    sorry for my english

Hopefully some regulations have changed in the next 5 mths so u can get back in ,but don’t think there will unless a vaccine has been approved

As a matter of fact:  I can come in again based on having a spouse,i am married !
I must apply for NON o visa and all the requirements (COE/TESTING/ASQ/FIT TO FLY/INSURANCE) based on having a spouse

  18. Quote:- "So did you get out on time"

left Bangkok on 24th with FINNAIR to The Netherlands
At arrival in Amsterdam no single check for Covid....no check at all
Also no check at all for passport-bag etc

At the airport and in the country just about 30% wearing a mask,in supermarkets almost ZERO
Unbelievable....now i understand why here is a spike of 3000 people per day getting sick and 36 p.d die.

I am happy beiing married just 1 week before i left and will return in 5 month if nothing bad happens
