Recently I visited my cell phone provider, needing more giga bites, and inquired about upgrading my plan, I was told that I needed to purchase a new phone. Anyone have similar experience's? It seems odd that they can't use my existing phone and just update my plan.

In my experiences let your Thai wife negotiate the purchase of land, automobiles and things of that nature. Stay out of the picture, stay home or hide in the truck, just stay out of the picture, the price will comedown I am sure.

Personally, I don't mind going to the immigration office here in Kalasin the immigration officers and staff are quite nice. I will register just incase I am travelling around Thailand on my report date.

If it were legalized most likely it would come with strict regulations and be censored by the Thai government, and all the good stuff picsualed out, that would mean you would be watching an opaque screen.

The young persons street racing have the least common sense of all the motor bike riders here in Thailand. Suspend their license, that is if they have one, impound their motor bikes with an hefty recovery fee.

Loud pipes do save lives but with that said loud and obnoxious are two different things. When in the city you don't have to run wide open, we know you are there, leave that for when you are not in the city. The last "BIG Bike" I owned was a Harley Davidson Dynawide with Vance and Haines shorties and more than once those loud (not obnoxious) pipes saved my ass from idiot drivers.

I spent 50 year in construction in America and each state has its own building codes. Being from south Florida they have the strictest building codes I have known. The setback their is 7 feet but does not include fences. Fences are stand along and you may not attach a structure to them without getting a variance from the building department and your neighbors permission. The zero lot line homes are one of the exception.

Where does good old common sense figure in to this? I have this same problem here however my neighbor to the left is my sister-n-law. I brought this up to my wife and asked her to talk with her sister, I don't speak Thai, but very little. Since this started my wife has not said a word and it has been at least a year. On the other side of the property the neighbor is a builder and they have raised their property and constructed two bulk heads to deal with the water drainage; now that is common sense and knowledge. There are many remedies to this but they need to be done at the start of the project.

True, I have seen that myself. Safety checks are a joke.

Spare the rod and spoil the child. My butt was warmed many times growing up and I turned out to be a respectful person toward authority. I can't speak for the kids here in Thailand but for the most part the kids are respectful not like in my country, America.

I have no complaints about Srinagarind in Khon Kean. I had a aggressive carcinoma tumor on my right leg. The surgical staff and nurses were impressive with the level of care given this farang. I have also been seeing the dermatologist on a regular bases and the pain doctor for chronic back pain. Yes, I think Thailand deserves their ranking.

I have lipped out now and then but no hole-in-one. I have a friend that took up golf and in the beginning he was a slicer. His handy cap was...well we could count that high LOL!. I suggested he get lessons with Joe Rue at the Fountains CC. About a month later we were playing at my CC and wouldn't you know it the par 3 - 7th hole 165 yards he made a hole-in-one. I drove him to the Clubhouse and let him off. We are no longer friends...Just kidding. Randy became a single digit handy capper in less than a year. Me, I am 73 and no longer play golf, and have never had a hole-in-one. I was a 6 hand cap.

Humans may try to forecast what the weather may or may not do but the simple fact is you cannot control what mother nature will or will not do.

You make many good point. You mentioned China being the factory of the world and I agree they are but the quality control of what they produce is substandard in many way. Countries like Thailand that are pour will purchase Chinese goods not for the quality but the price. I live in Thailand and my wife buys based on price and not quality. I tell her if you buy based on quality your purchase will last longer. This kind of reminds me after war II the Japanese came out with the transistor radio and in America we laughed but look at Japan now. Japan produces quality and a far price where as for China I don't think they will ever reach the standard of the Japanese. If they did it would be a game changer.

If China is the 2nd biggest foreign buyer of US treasury bills wouldn't that indicate the Chinese like USD and not the other way around? If President Trump is racist for calling out the CCP and President Xi Jinping for his manipulation of the Chinese currency and unfair trade tactics that other US administrations, including the current Presidents administration you must be a liberal because that is the only tactic they know and that is so lame. President Trump run the White House and his administration like a business not as it has been and the present administration run theirs. If the USD falls in value it will not be the Chinese it will be the present administrations fault.

Not all countries love the Chinese money, especially in America. It's not the Chinese people nobody likes it's the CCP. I don't know were you got your stats but it is not a global opinion, period..
