infections are on the rise because people didn't wear masks! Look at the photos of the cafe del mar event in Kamala .You won't see anyone wearing a mask either inside the venue of queueing up to get in .

Patong Kata Karon. are dead. Little bit of nightlife in Kamala,. The beach in Kamala as most beaches in Phuket are, is pretty much deserted. Rawai is still relatively busy but it's beach is not a patch on others. Cassia in Laguna area doing great deals if you ring them and want a base to explore Phuket . Laguna area has a few bars and restaurants open.

With "Wise" it is better to transfer funds to their UK bank account from your  bank I believe there is a higher  charge for using your debit card.  They have better rates than Dee IMHO.  Dee seems to allow transfers from Thailand to other countries.

Kamala beach would be my pick .Great beach, lots of restaurants and bars. Very active community of retired people. Can pick up a very nice apartment/house  for 15-20000 baht a month.

It will be a lot better view from the Novotel in Kamala ,Their HH is from 6-8 I think and a lot cheaper than CS.

Boat Bar, Smile Bar and Lillo Island on the beach great for sundowners too.

Personally think you will be better off in Kamala for restaurants and bars than Patong. Loads of restaurants open and many doing "special offers"  

Sorry pal (or not pal, or not paypal?) It's not a scam to recommend someone to a service and if you go back and read the OP he has Euros. So, it is quite feasible for him to set up a Transferwise account and get the Transferwise debit card posted to him (by a relative or friend) in Thailand if he still maintains a European address. Which he can then load up with baht and not be charged. Paypal fees .His choice if he follows my recommendation link or not!

That's. rubbish!  if they have been stuck here since the initial amnesty (March wasn't it?) Then they have had enough time to sort out a visa or get home (with a few, and that's very few exceptions!) and surely been involved in many conversations and been able to research about what to do and what might or might not happen and what options were available. To be here since March at least they should have an idea as to how immigration work in Thailand.  

I have just used used thai visa center. In spite of the negativity in the press recently they were excellent1

Great layout at Treasure Hill IMVHO ! Maybe a bit too long for some people?  Certainly better than the much played Khao Kheow which (again IMVHO) is a bit "mickey mouse"

You are not being kicked out, on the contrary you have been given a free extension to stay!  You can take the necessary steps to get a visa to stay after Sept . (OK from an agent, which will cost you a few bob of course, but my feeling is wither you can't be bothered to get one or either don't have the funds or are Khee Neow.?)
