Many people still don't understand that being fully vaccinated doesn't mean you won't get infected again.

You can still get infected but the symptoms will be less serious as your body already encountered the virus before.

Excately, I am still shocked after so long that people don't understand this well known fact.

  2. Lol I arrive the 1st in bkk I'll do my 14 days, funny thing is the app to follow me everywhere and I'll be covid free and vaccinated. What about the thais? It's not the farang that are giving the covid to the thais lol bit they are not being tracked and traced. I am just pointing this out not complaining, Ill be happy to be back in my 2nd home. ♥️♥️♥️????????????????

Pretty clear that they don't want foreigners coming in at the moment and that is both justifiable and understandable given current circumstances and public opinion.

When will these people learn that they are only temporary visitors for purposes other than tourism and plan accordingly?

Can't agree testing at the airport and the 14 days at home is all that should be required for residents wanting to return home.

well, in that case we need to at look at things case by case, and the only way to determine that is by checking the persons criminal background. The severity of their past crimes is surely an important thing to consider. If for example that person was imprisoned for a couple of petty crimes, then maybe they should be given a chance, but i personally think for people that have committed a serious crime in the past such a murder, rape of an adult or child, then no, i do not believe that they should be allowed to travel.

Being an optimistic, some people should get a second chance we all have made mistakes, so yes I agree on petty crime.

  5. OK bring on the flaming, but it's not just the cyclist unfortunately. It seems that westerners in general ( speaking about bkk and cm) that seem to think they are are above others. That means everyone. Over the last 10 yrs I ve often said hello to someone who for some reason pretends not to speak English anymore, lol even worse things they are the ants pants and they certainly don't speak Thai. I might not live in thai land full time yet like some of you expats but it's not the expats that aren't friendly it the guys that come to work in Thailand for a few years and think their above others. This is no bs it's from my own experience over the last 30 yrs. Now I say <deleted> and laugh. Funny thing is if I think like that, what kind of rep are these type of unfriendly people giving to the  generally nice expats? Lol over 50 we are already stereotyped as going to Pattaya and looking for 30 yr Olds. Before you shot at me that's your business I am just saying????????????????

  6. I am back in the French alps, yes one of the lucky ones great social system, but still waiting to get back to my girlfriend. France is in lockdown till may 11th and after that I am sure till end of May. The fact is without the vaccine we will never be safe in out own countries or in Thailand. Wait till the second wave hits.

  7. I do feel for the normal thai, not the government in the sense of how we have been treated over the last years. The fact that the person responsible for the dirty farang comment is still in office, is an indication of how the upper class consider us with contempt. The normal thai Joe blow is still lovely and just trying to make it though hard times.good luck now with the Chinese tourist lol
