  1. I agree.... however its probably better value than a small bottle of Leo for 120
  2. Exactly These kinds of people deserve no business; they can do something else. They don't even attemp to serve their valued customer well. I don't mind incompetent people if they are trying, but these ones are a different breed.
  3. Yeah, I'm over it (covid situation) too. Everyone should get vaccinated and move on as normal
  4. So they don't get their licenses on the back of breakfast cereal packets?? Who would have thunk it?
  5. Exactly. I was in a place on Soi Cowboy recently. The "waitress" was pulling pints with a 2 inch head (or no head at all, just empty space). Then she was taking my glass away while I still had a couple inches of beer in it. She told me to put my BKK Funcard (that they issued me a few weeks ago) back in my pocket cos allegedly they don't accept it anymore despite it still be advertised. Had to press her to actually accept it -- and she did. I reckon they may be trying to make back lost income, but to treat customers like that. And then asking for a tip. Lol All the while being: rude, a smartmouth, condescending, and strangely flirty (dunno how this combination came about). The other waitress was steaming drunk and groping customers. Ok it's Soi Cowboy, I know, but this bar claims to be a safe haven from that. Maybe it was her BF who knows. And to think: tourists choose to come HERE!! LOL
  6. Thank you! I don't suppose you know off the top of your head if the UK is one of those countries?
  7. Can tourists still come in visa exempt for 30 days (just stamp at airport) at the moment? So long as ThaiPass has been done, of course.
  8. You are best off staying single here. Even if you pay for a few "dates" there is still less downside (risk) and more upside (benefit) than settling down, buying a house for a trollup, and then supporting her monthly expenses. I have a friend whos wife used to take his ATM card without him knowing and go on a shopping spree. Even after that he bought a house for her. I must admit I have fallen victim too, so no judgement. That said, Western women are like this too. And they all let themselves go and stop performing once they have enough out of you. But of course, the financial support must remain unchanged. Thailand must be one of the best places on Earth to be single, why do we make the mistake of getting hooked up?
  9. Ah yes, now we have the crux of what this is all about. The girls' family should be ashamed; they might send her off to Nana Plaza with this attitude in the future.
  10. I didn't know they even had beer for sale there.
  11. I don't get the whole "lineup" thing. Much for exciting to flip the coin with a more - dare I say it - "regular" woman where you may actually get a surprise and something a bit more authentic. Rather than the super model lineup who could all be carbon copies of each other and likely have all the same tricks up their sleeves.
  12. Thanks for keeping us informed.
  13. I like those bars too but I can't feel sorry for anyone who charges 120 for a small bottle of local swill (and pays staff a couple of hundred for a 12 hour day). They had their decade(s) of raking it in. They should really be fit for retirement.
  14. Nah, parent at fault here. Driver probably couldn't do anything to stop, not unless he is gonna dtive around at 20 kmh all day cos all the parents are letting toddlers cross the road. Country roads have high speed limits, still very dangerous. Her house could have been on a a country stretch with a high limit, not necessarily a cul-de-sac where you are forced to drove slowly. In an case, the evidence is plain to see. 3 year olds cannot cross the road alone. It is common sense. Kids a normally neglected in the village. It's tragically normal.
  15. Oh god. This is just unimaginabley painful to contemplate as a parent. When are the citizens of this country gonna do something about this? I understand these things happen everywhere but not on this scale. Not just the driving, but the parenting. It is a recipe for disaster. Letting a 3 year old cross a road alone is just..........I am lost for words.
  16. Jeez, virtually everyone has been vaccinated or already infected. Let's just cut the BS and go back to normal life.
  17. Will the French restaurant ever open again?
  18. I reckon half of em would like to do this, if only they had the guts. Money is the only thing that matters. Then, face.
  19. They should just make it a massage street. Or restaurant street. Who wants to watch dumbass tarts who can't dance shuffling on stage? If they had strip clubs like the West, that would be different - proper professional pole dancing and lap dances. Here it is just a pathetic shuffle and then a sit on the knee followed by, "buy me a drink" <deleted>. The BJ bars are ok though.
  20. Wow,that seems a bit stiff for a car accident which unfortunately resulted in death. In comparison, if you stab someone, you'll get just a few years for attempted murder. Strange.
