The static method you mentioned also works provided:

1. The router also has a netmask of 255.255.0.0  (/16) and not /24 (If not, 192.168.168.x will be routed to the default route..)

2. The DHCP range doesn't include 192.168.168.168

Got a NETIS WF-2880 from Lazada which so far serves me well. I needed something with Gigabit Ethernet as finally the internet speed has caught up with normal Ethernet..

As stated you will have to buy a ticket straight home, your passport confiscated and you will be escorted to and put on that particular plane, without ever touching your passport until the Captain decides it is safe to hand it to you again.

But have fun trying. 

You won't clear immigration without being escorted back on the plane home.

- No they won't let him fly out.

- He will be detained, brought in front of a judge, get sentenced to a (usually smaller) fine.

I mean for this to work, the CATV coax can't have any channels mapped onto the DTV channels, that would interfere. 

No harm trying though. It either works, or not.

The one linked is specced for CB frequencies only, TV is quite a bit higher. It 'may' all just work though.

You will need PL-259 connectors to go with these. 

Personally I would test a 3 way coax splitter first and see if that gives satisfactory results.

A coax splitter works both ways.. As long as there's nothing transmitted by the shared cable on the DTV frequencies you're golden.

You can sue whoever you want. And in four or five years, let us know the outcome from your new residence.

Nothing much to do with immigration but yes, the airline can refuse to board you, as they will be liable for your return if you get refused.

Easy solutions: 

- Get a tourist visa

- Book a flight out. Get one you can change / cancel easily so you can modify your plans while here.

If you're getting 100 or so channels it's probably not an antenna you're hooked up to but a satellite system / distribution modulator. So that setup won't support DTV unless it's piped in as well. 

If you're not too far from a broadcasting station any cheap indoor antenna will get you a reasonable signal (which in DTV means a perfect picture)

3 months. (actually 87 days exactly). Compare it to a Thai visa with re-entry permit.

So they had one running, one hot-spare and at least one in storage.

Now it's running on the hot-spare, and the failed main one has to be replaced.

I fail to see the emergency.
