Idea: Time Thai officials has another queue at Thai International airport. One for all Thai's (including gays and ladyboys) entering the country the other marked 'ALL DIRTY FARANGS'. Then the dirty farangs are escorted for whole body fumigation and a conveyor belt into a shower facility. On their forehead afterwards is stamped 'DIRTY FARANGS PROCESSED'. All is then well.

Well the thing is: Does anyone want to travel to Hong Kong and face arbitrary detention by the CCP. Glad I went to HK and China a few years ago. NO MORE until the insanity there ceases. Not holding my breath. -
Proposal to waive visa fees for foreign tourists to Thailand

Good Oh ... Visa fee, arrivals tax, departure tax ..... fee for this and that... Not going to belabor the point BUT it's not the responsibility of tourists, that are going to enrich the country they have chosen to visit, to pay the immigration service of that country. It's just a bit of paper/stamp after all. There are many countries that are sensible and offer free visa on arrival. -

Yes, visa's are visa's - it's the forced paying for the privilege of getting a visa, and spending in the host country that gets me. Visa's should be free. OK ?? -

Visa fees (everywhere) are legalised theft. Creeps are financing their losses due to the pandemic on the backs of tourists. -
British press support UK pensioners losing out in Thailand

Of course there is. But Why should the English government finance that, when you have 'chosen' to fly the coop. -
British press support UK pensioners losing out in Thailand
Bangkocker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well of course people should be free to pursue a happier life elsewhere. But in many pensions there are benefits embedded in the pension payment - to help the said people cope with rising cost of living in their home countries. Such as inflation indexed benefits, power supplements etc. It seems reasonable that people shouldn't receive these same benefits should they decide to relocate elsewhere. -
Many of the soft touch freeloader that you refer to, are genuine refugees who find themselves and families in a very dangerous life situations in their home countries - through no fault of their own. They are not all losers and many have skills they bring with them. You sound heartless with a 'I'm ok Jack - F the rest' . Your ostrich approach to life is abysmal >>>> Quote:...... 'nothing to do with us' !! Well Hitler had nothing to do with me BUT I hate him and his memory. If you live in Thailand at the moment, and you are OK with a change in the balance of the population to Chinese well 'up to you'. You'd change your mind if 9/10 of your condo building became Chinese.
-
BS... so how does that fit into the perception of Thailand selling off property to the Chinese. What property you may ask. All those new condo's. No they are no free loaders as you suggest, BUT if enough Chinese do this the face of Thailand will change. The new 'Chiland' - the new wave of 'economic refugees'

Your wife brings 'hoe' sometimes. Wow your are a lucky fellow. Some bed variety hahahah -
Anutin knows this is a nice little money spinner to rip off tourists with expensive isolation costs if they are found to be Omicron +ve. Requiring RAT tests on entry to restaurants and bars. It's profitable to keep this madness alive. All these politicians could care less about their people and business owners going bankrupt. They still get a fat salary while their population starve. All in the pretense of saving the masses from the pandemic. Sad!!

Bangkok increases in popularity amongst expats
Bangkocker replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Been to both Rome and Paris. Paris: Eiffel tower and couple of cathedrals, Louvre, (dangerous place at night near the can can shows - many hotheads) - plate of chips $20. Rome: - a few statues, Vatican, expensive pizza, expensive everything, plenty of deadbeats and homeless near Termini railway station, hothead Africans trying to flog imitation handbags etc. Quite funny witnessing these aggressive Africans talking in perfect Italians. Once you've been there - meh !! But many return to Thailand for obvious reasons (over and over). -

Disagree with you on some point Bub. Yes, every country has some rules - obviously !! But to have a rapid antigent test before you enter eateries and bars ... and risking a lengthy and expensive stay in a Thai hospital .... Thailand gets 1 st prize in the nitwit stakes. As for inflation all over the world that is BS. Doesn't deserve an example. People having less money to travel ? more BS ... people (that retained their jobs - and most did) have truck loads to spend because they were confined and unable to travel. Also, only a fool would spend thousands for cheap sex and beaches. Every country has sex and beaches. Second on the nitwit list is Bali and Indonesia. This is now a pandemic of money making by all the rip off governments and medical industries etc. -
Bangkok to equip 100 zebra crossings with traffic lights in two weeks
Bangkocker replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Seriously, It's a huge problem drivers not obeying road rules in ALL SE Asian countries. Vietnam is even worse. Only way is to hit these inconsiderate drivers in the hip pocket severely OR jail time. -
Yeah - makes a lot of sense 'let's kill the goose that laid the golden egg'. Nitwits change ideas according to which way the wind is blowing. So they want a better class of tourist ... to do what may I ask ??? In BKK there is one skyscraper being built after another - for what ??, whom ?? Chinese miserly tourists ??
