  1. Some guy has posted on here how he thinks anyone who disagrees with people travelling during March or earlier hopes something happens to anyone with that view.

17th March UK advised all but essential travel.

I was due to go back in Jan but changed my plans not because of the virus but another matter. By February Thai people were wearing masks way before the government began giving any advice.

There was enough outbreak information during that 1st quarter to realise aeroplane travel was a risky step.

Even now it is a risky step and retirees being a major at risk group is surely part of the reason why retirees are not getting back so quickly.

I feel for the guy who wrote in and maybe his 6 year gf can become his wife in the event of future issues. I agree it is not right to look at that as a solution but what else can you do to get that acceptance into a flight.

What happened to people who made the decision not to leave:

Had to cancel all travel plans

Had to go on amnesty and left in limbo

Had to search high and low for a long term solution

Had to learn of family deaths via phone call

Had to isolate and not buy beer for one month

Had to read about amnesty fears everyday for months

It was super clear what the deal was with this virus in February. I suggest as an international traveller you keep upto date with world affairs and maybe you could have made a better decision on your plans.

I don't really understand your first point... But yeah no one's saayin its gonna b overnight.. but this kid has steadied himself at EVERY level and excelled   div 2 he came from nowhere at Exeter to  winning the EFL young plaer of the year. Same as Deli Ali and top scored for Exeter had a steady first ish season at Brentford ..playin wider left in a front 3 .scorin well into double figures ... Smith always said he'd be a no 9 so  a season in the middle he gets approachin 30.... Beatin mitrovich at fulham... Trust me this boy is the real deal   and I don't blow my own... But I don't say these things lightly..smokey will bac me ..when I big up players  àSMOKEY who was the last young no 9 i bigged up that you were unsure of?     i'de have a friendly bet that within the next 2 seasons he'll be in the England mix and by the time he's 26/27  a move to a champ  lge club.  That as injuries permitting

.. sayin that Smith is no idiot  and he has Chinese money behind him..and villa have HUGE potential

    So who knows...

Nah if this lad had not scored that hat trick you would not be saying this now. He's 24 he's got a way to go but he could get in the england set up but he's no mainstay and this virus and lack of stadium presence is helping forwards. So it's way too early for this type of talk. Sane needs to be said about calvert lewin. Will they emulate this in a packed stadium. Very hard to see them doing it I. Front of 30k fans.

Yeah.... From what I've seen  for the system you've play , it's Similar to joses, you really need a 'classic' center forward who can hold and distribute,, martial tries and he's halfway there.. but 2 me he still looks better playin of someone as do your other lads..so perhaps he can do a sheringham and 'effect' the game without pace.. just touch and nouise... I'm still thinkin tho  6 months without competative footie at 33.. BIG ask.falcao had time on his hands he was a heap younger  and reinvented himself, ok took a step down to do it

... The last classic  older center forward that suffered from   lack of 'real game time I can think of was llorente..  and boy did it show.. you could see he had class and could do the job..and some of his stats were... WOW  but he was SO ring rusty  and he never missed 6 months and  didn't miss pre season and was never away from a  squad..

Oh ps.. I've been on about this ex Exeter kid for ??? Years .. Ollie watkins... He could develop into the 'real deal' as an old school cf..he needs to strengthen up a bit.. but NO DOUBTS  he's got the footballing quality and most importantly HE LEARNS.. watch him.. he'll develop..

It's a reactive mention though. I do admit when that game was coming on first player I thought about was the unknown in watkins but come on now talk about backing a front runner. Give it time he has not even played in a proper packed prem stadium yet so way too early to start backing him or any other starlet breaking through this season.

As for this so called united fan backing cavani.

He's never played in such a fast league very big risk and if given the choice no united fan would have mentioned him let alone chose him and he has been available on a free for over 3 months.

Is it against thai business culture to not accept the original offer and explain the extra time required at the new location and ask for more?   I am a fairly good poker player and I tbink she has a good basis for asking for more.   The losing is worth the risk.  Because if she asks for 7000 and boss says forget  it and will find someone else  I can send her 2500 that she was making.  But I feel its worth  a gamble to ask for more.  She won't lose her job for asking.

If you were a good poker player how come you got so many trivial problems. She ain't complaining so what's the problem. I am sure you are not privy to all of her life. Maybe why she keeps a condo. In any event if she is not complaining mind your business she work there 20 years and it's her career not yours.

Get her consent to moan about her problem before you moan. If she has an issue she don't need a white knight to solve a Thai problem.

If feel the urge to ask help from some people in a forum, you are better of to talk to people who are actually educated to help people with these issues. Do you think you know better?

Education versus life experience. And you choose education. Explains a lot.

In the real world education is the lowest form of qualification. It simply provides a seat at the table. How you conduct yourself whilst at the table is drawn from experience.

I would love that to be the case ChipButty, but compare the dressing room this kid is walking into, compared to the one which Ronny did. He was schooled in how to be a footballer by the likes of Keane, Ferdinand, Giggs and Scholes.

Who are the characters that are going to lift our dressing room up? Now is the time to step forward, we will learn a lot about the players over the next few games. Cavani and Telles both seem like strong minded lads and that can only be a good thing.

    Speaking of strong minded lads.

  7. I do have a few concerns with LFC.

Couple of really awful haircuts on show the other night.

Jota - can become an absolutely top player but the lads got an awful head of hair. Been racking my brains trying think what would suit him. Maybe needs to shave off that rat mane on his head. Looks awful.

Salah - I never liked his soulglo afro before but this 1980's afro is awful.

Maybe some david hayes braids would suit him.

Definitely need to address these dodgy mullets.

When I was a kid we  had to come to the front of the class had our  pants  pulled  down and got a  smacked  <deleted>, parents  thought nothing of  it exactly the same as this in front of  all your  class friends........ I was a naughty boy though especially with Sarah Atkins????

I havent been mentally scarred  by it and dont crave school children or miss  whiplash sessions in older  age.

Was the 1938 world cup any good?

  9. They got 4 defenders with a purchase value of 80+50+27+30 = 187m.

    The resale value:

    Maguire - 20m maybe

    Bailly - 12m

    Shaw - 12m

    Wan biss 20m

That's a hundred mill skunked right there and it can further. It would never recoup. Ever. Not even 50%

The question being, we do not buy to sell.

    The answer.

You do if they are all bang up for finishing 17th.

Bruno is a problem tactically. It's obvious he needs 2 grafting midfielders behind him. We basically have 3 number 10s now. The only saving grace is if Donny can play that box to box role behind Bruno. Coming from Ajax you'd expect him to be a bit more aware tactically.

60 mil for a penalty taking expert was a bit of chunk. Hope those pens do not dry up.

It’s a big deal if the two are linked. His form has deserted him. He shows no leadership on the pitch or off it. He doesn’t even front up the media as captain after that sham performance, he sends out Sumo.

    Coincidence?

Maybe the lads feeling so unlucky he is taking this social distancing thing s bit too far.

The point is it's not really such a big deal a footballer getting mixed up in something after a few drinks on holiday. It is a big deal that an 80 million defender can be this bad.

He never got mixed up in nothing he jetted and left his friends and family in the lurch. Then he turned into captain gob<deleted>e with some far flung story and now every single one of his family know he is an utter tossa. Seriously I told you, I told you Rick, this would impact your team significantly. Bottom line if you can't handle the pressure on a forum of unknowns then can you imagine the pressure this lads under now.

This guy's no hero he's gonna buckle big time. No fairytale story here this kids on the road to rochdale within 5 years.

  13. Lads come on now. If the board were half decent you would still have Jose and you would likely be challenging. Jose got you a European title and if backed he'd have solved your issues by now. Ole is the puppet the board wanted and one thing is clear. Whatever works for your board does not work for your team and certainly not any real fans.

In Canada  as well, the French language province of Quebec is also getting closer to being locked down again, as the numbers of covid are soaring, Ontario is getting higher numbers too.     I hope the people of Thailand keep up their cautious measures and stay healthy.  I hope to return there as soon as a vaccine is being offered and the flights are more available. Winter is not far off now.

    Brrrr.

    Geezer

Got a few mates in BC. All absolutely gutted and feeling trapped. One lad likes to hit cuba regularly. Everytime I talk to him he sounds like he should be on suicide watch. The only Glee he seemed to have was when I informed him of my visa issues here may force me back to UK. He was robbed of that glee when we solved the issue.

Plenty of Thai tasty in canada though right. Blue pill too?

  15. As a neutral this game has been a joke. Fair play to villa for taking there chances well but this team is definitely not the real LFC.

Salah - how many times could get have run and created and chooses to pass.

Arnold - too many errors even for him on a bad day.

I cannot help think Mane testing positive is affecting all others. If this was an airport or something anyone who congregated with a positive person would be told to self isolate too.
