Just to update you all, yesterday (exact date of under consideration stamp ending) my wife went to get a stamp for me, I wrote a note just in case there would be an issue. No issues, she went in, gave the passport to the counter 3 - under consideration desk, and they gave her my passport after 10 minutes with the final stamp, no questions asked, note was not needed. CM Immigration - Airport

Even with the note or in general I come alone, are there any scenarios that the final stamp gets rejected?

Yes, I did not hear anything about photos or anything like that, last time I also went in gave the passport, my wife was with me. After 5 minutes i went to the toilet and when cameback my wife has already collected the passport, it seems they just give it to anyone, once your name is heard, so yeah, I think always need to check if it is your passport or also check if someone does not take your passport accidentally 😄 Imagine the scenario, some name gets called ( not yours) but they give him your passport and he leaves 😄

Thanks for the replies, I did the extention twice already and yeah attended on the same date. But still wondering if the extention 99%-100% confirmed? and yes I do intend to send my wife to get my passport stamped cause I wont be in the city at this day.

This is a question from my friends, who will come on tourist visa but want to buy a condo here without thai bank account since they cant open it on tourist visa anyway. Is there a way to do it? Using a lawyer, sending the funds there? Sending straight to the selling company ( it is going to be well known developer company, the project is finished ) Anyone had experience, can advice what is the best way? Thank you

Just updating you guys as there are always some bank news.. So kasikorn send me in APP notification banner saying, that they are reducing my daily transaction amount from 5mil baht to 2 mil baht, basically random, I got much higher balance. Anyone else got this?

Hi, Writing this on behalf of someone who is 50 year + who wants to buy a condo in Thailand but does not have a bank. He does not want full retirement visa for 1 year yet, just the initial one that you get for 3 month in order to open a bank and transfer funds for condo purchase. Can you open bank account in such way? If so, what are the requirements for the retirement visa?

Signed a few digital papers on an iPad, but the passbook account number is the same as the old (bank account number ) some other numbers changed tho, I don't know what they mean, some numbers that are above and below your passbook. One thing can be noticed is only the date of issue of passbook which is a new one compared to old. But you might be right regarding the signature under UV light.

Do you still have a notification in your app?

Actually, yes, I forgot to mention. They also gave me a new passbook and binned the old one, which was weird because old passbook still had many empty pages. My guess is, that the notification is a broadcast message and should disappear on 2th July automatically, but who knows.

I did the facial verification few days ago in the branch, but the notification is still in the app. Anyone else did, is the notification supposed to disappear after you do the verification? Or it will disappear on 2th July?

Been trying to do yellow book and pink id for 3 years ( married to thai ) gave all documents, said we will call you when your queue is up. I been calling them once every month and so asking if there is an update, they always replied the same, we will call you back. Never called me. I actually just stopped trying anymore. I guess in some areas its super easy to get and some are not.

Try talking with an agent, as they have connections with IO's, can probably do something for you

I am planning to drive from CM to Buriram by car with 1 one-night stop at Phitsanulok. Do you have any idea if driving around 7 April will be fine in terms of Songkran traffic? MAJOR UPDATE: Apparently, it was a deposit returned for a car purchase a while ago. They did not even say that they sent the deposit.. My wife randomly messaged someone from the dealership and asked if they made the transfer. I suspected it could be it, but the transfer should have come from their company account, anyways it came from a personal account.

I will be on alert.. if someone calls me and asks to give the money back, I'll just say I will go to a branch and handle it from there..

Yeah, but credits, you probably should see in your banking app where it came from, something like "credited". I think our situations are different cause I received it from a person.

Thinking of that, how silly they can be when sending money to a different account, especially if you see a foreigner's name on the transfer before clicking the confirm button.

I know the money is not mine, but I could just say I did not see the transfer and wait it out. And no, no originating account, only 4 middle digits and the first name of the sender.
