Sad story but again another one "stranded" in Thailand, begging to get home. No medical insurance? Or not covered? Doesn't really say. Seems a lot of people who live overseas particularly in SEA have no real interest in their well being.

I can understand older people who just can't get insured which is rubbish  and short term stayers who veer clear of travel insurance as there is so many things it doesn't cover but to live overseas and not have the best private health cover you can afford is insane. I don't know if that's the case here neither article provides much info about the accident or his hospital stay. Thankfully he is now with family and friends.

i have old injuries, any insurance i take wont be covering those that already happened, why on earth would i take an insurance

I can look after myself and don't care if you can spot me or not. I am the one that will spot you when you are heading for me and I can then take evasive action. It's the same principle as walking facing traffic. Perhaps not for everyone but it has saved me a couple of times.

if it comes to it, you cant evade, either,

i was cut by a car, there was no time to react, period,

she wouldnt have cut me if she had seen me, but alas

My apologies. When I ride a bicycle in Thailand, I ride on the right side so I can see who's trying to run me down. So far, never got stopped by police. But I will gladly pay the fine if caught.

you are difficult to spot, and doubly so when you come from a completely unexpected direction.

its not really ticket you should worry about,

its being run down by someone who never saw you coming. many bicyclists then double down on not having any light on,

things would help if you have it switched on at all times, both front and end,

and even better yet another light that flashes like an ambulance, alerting everyone in the surrounding about the hazard

  5. they look neat, and i like it how you can buy a trailer

and shuffle it around with a pickup,

but labor is cheap here and truth is you would pretty quickly run out of things to do with it lest others can call you for work which you cant do as foreigner anyway.

compared to forest harvest machines excavators are dependable and dont break down even a fraction as much
