Not offended at all. Being in a relatively remote region it's amusing seeing the response of mostly young children and mostly 4 to a motorbike when one or more shout out "Farang.

My wife retires soon and I was determined that we would find somewhere with clean air or at least as little as possible! We have found a beautiful location with mountains all around at Si Sawat in Kanchanburi Province. This would not be suitable for everyone as it is quite remote but clean air and clear skies are perfect for us.

If it is logical that installing barriers will stop the idiots crossing the track when it is obvious a train is coming then barriers should be installed at all traffic lights on roads to prevent the thousands of similar idiots ignoring red lights adding to the road kill there.

Trains are still running I believe.

With no offence to my many US friends or the unfortunate soldiers forced to fight a war which was none of the US Governments concern in Vietnam, Kampuchea and Laos, having bomber bases and tens of thousands military personnel with loads of money and a desperate need of R & R in Thailand was going to change the country forever for better and for worse. This applied to all the countries the UK colonised in the past.

Pleased to see that We Safe Thailand Safe have found a sterile bubble so no mask required.

When I first went to Thailand in 2008 it was 67tbt to the pound and prior to the bank crisis. During my short stay I had decided on buying a car which was £12,000. When I returned a couple of months later the Pound had devalued by 20% and I had to pay £16,000. That was the time when problems really started for the Pound among other currencies (but not the baht) and although the Pound did recover a little, Brexit caused another fall. Later this year I am planning to make some purchases which will be much lower in price not only due to the fall of the baht but also due to the dire situation that Thai citizens are in and having to sell cheaply. Feeling a little uncomfortable? Yes.
