Is there any nightlife in the Lat Krabang area of any note? I know there are a few restaurants along Lat Krabang road, under the approach to Suvarnabhumi Airport, just wondering if there are any decent bars anywhere in the area.

Most “new” construction I’ve seen in Thailand over the years looks like it’s in the process of either being built or demolished, so no surprise there then! ????????????????

Emirates are so expensive for flights to/from Bangkok, it’s cheaper to book with Thai Airways, non stop, or Singapore Airlines one stop. Average prices showing for October, Emirates from £770, Singapore from £580 and Thai from £700. I recently booked a trip via Singapore with 2 nights layover(my choice) in Singapore, to BKK with SIngapore Airlines direct, for £608 return from LHR, a lot cheaper than I thought it would be, especially compared to the Middle East carriers.

Anyone else notice a pattern emerging here?

I hope so, as it is still stifling the return of many tourists. I shall keep an eye on the situation anyway and hope it goes away.

If the Thailand Pass is still required by October 2022, is there a problem applying with NHS Covid certificates if the traveller’s middle name is not shown, as it is in travel documents? I ask this as according to the NHS app help FAQ’s it’s not currently possible to add a persons middle name to the certificates.
