  1. Good to see Thailand pushing ahead with it's, albeit belated, vaccination campaign. I guess it is down to supply from here on in. Also nice to see other slow starters in SE Asia, such as Philippines (a genuine logistic nightmare) also moving quickly now and just reaching around 13% fully vaxxed. In fact, they administered close to 5 million jabs between 11th and 15th August, pretty impressive. Long may it continue....... https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations?country=PHL
  2. I also live on the island, and am a small business owner as are a number of friends. The island is most certainly not booming but thankfully, there are small signs of improvement in a number of areas. Hopefully, Covid permitting, this will continue.
  3. The doors are open, a trickle is flowing, I wonder how it will look nearer the end of the year?
  4. The hotels also employ local staff and have a large local support and supply network
  5. He registered at the town public health centre who then passed the details to Patthalung general hospital
  6. For anybody down near Patthalung area and looking to get vaccinated, my friend from UK got his first Pfizer jab there today as part of the 240 doses sent there and donated by US. Second jab booked for 14th September. AZ was also being administered. He is just under 60 and has no underlying illness or business interests. He registered last Thursday and got an appointment for today. I will revert with booking details and if anything is left!
  7. Whichever way you choose to look at these numbers, vaccines appear to be being administered at decent rates. I guess that the health workers involved are doing their best with the vaccine quantity available and deserve a little praise. Thankfully, they are also being ably supported by large numbers of volunteer workers.
