  1. In my case (ext stay/ret-inc: CW early Sep, ~ six weeks before my next 90-day report date) it was not so much allowed, as I had no intention of doing a 90-day report, rather it was prompted by Immigration staff. Many others reported a similar experience, although I have not seen reports of this in recent trip reports. Perhaps it doesn't really "correct the database"? from my earlier report: During my last extension of stay (Non-O/Retirement/Income) renewal at CW in early September, staff in the desk L waiting area encouraged us to fill out TM.47 forms even though our 90-day report might not be due for 45+ days. When asked, I was told this would "fix" your record allowing you to use the online systems in the future. I did so and received a new 90-day report receipt/date for early December. I am still unable (since 2019 and a new passport, after having used the online system some eleven times previously) to file a report online or via the app.
  2. airline ticket negative covid test https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/requirements-for-air-travelers-to-the-us.html the airline may have separate requirements so check with them.
  3. Yet, for another 110 countries it seems like a reasonable event? https://www.state.gov/participant-list-the-summit-for-democracy/ What better place to tout "thai style democracy" and "the sufficiency economy"? Or right, you weren't invited. FM Pramudwinai has degrees from UCLA and Tufts.
  4. ...monoclonal antibodies. Let's wait and see if the Merck and Pfizer treatments work. They look good so far, but price and availability may be issues. Yes the thai regime has placed a large order for Molnupiravir. Vaccines are more about control, mitigation, prevention, which hopefully reduce the need for treatments. And they're more cost effective.
  5. Might have been simpler to just allow the import of Moderna instead of throwing up hurdle after hurdle. But no, the regime blocked this effort for months. Who cares if private hospitals offer vaccines and people want to pay for them? This removes some of the burden from the state, and allows more people to eb vaccinated sooner, and leaves more vaccines for the less advantaged. Win win win. Private health care is a pretty big business here, and is rarely constrained as it was with this Moderna kerfuffle. I get that the regime was slow to respond, and was made to look incompetent as private hospitals whipped into action. And that the regime had to restrain hospitals so as to save face. But now that the regime has recovered it's time to free up private hospitals.
  6. thailand appears to be the HUB of drug trans-shipments. When you need to get it there use thailand. https://taiwanenglishnews.com/400-kg-heroin-haul-the-largest-on-shore-drug-bust-in-taiwan-history/ Not hard to figure out who paid (400 Kg to Taiwan) and who didn't (315 Kg - paint buckets to Australia).
  7. Curious what this "paper" says, and do you have one too? Does it display past test results? Quarantine history? Are you a foreigner? Your GF is thai? How often are you required to show this paper? Are you traveling by train? Airplane? I'm sure this paper is brilliant but doubt it will pass muster on a train or plane which have firm requirements re: vaccination or testing. The Mor Phrom app tracks "Recovery" status/history, and displays that. If you've passed those MoPH recovery hurdles then the green radio button would be shown. Mine is ticked green because I am fully vaxxed.
  8. IMO, second-hand stories, with third-hand references to a 15 Km per day unvaccinated walker, meant to encourage vaccination probably do more harm than good. Stick to science, facts and figures. If "Peter" wants to share his story directly, with many, many, many more details, and be subject to vetting and a Q & A, then fine. I am pro-vaxx, hard-core, and am 2x Pfizer. However I try not to to "convince" others. Not my job.
  9. Saw this on Facebook... https://www.facebook.com/thaimoph/ Change location for COVID 19 vaccine certificate for international travel (Vaccine Passport) From the general epidemic division, Nonthaburi Disease Control Department to. Bangrak building, 15th floor, South Sathorn road, Sathorn district, Bangkok. Next to BTS station St. Louis Starting from November 15, 2564 (Taking pre-appointment only) Open Monday - Saturday, except public holidays. Time 9.00-15.00 am Further inquiry: Phone number 02 3232 590 and Hotline 1422 Don't forget to wear a mask. Keep your distance. Wash your hands and vaccinate.
  10. Have you checked the SRT requirements? I think they require proof of vaccination (via Mor Phrom) or a -72 hr ATK test result (also must be recorded in the Mor Phrom app). After that maybe best to share when and where you plan to travel, ya know, to get focused "travel experiences". Thanks Aaron.
  11. I don't read that last response as a positive COVID test counting as a pre-condition. Just that medical treatment for or as a cause of any pre-conditions, admittedly a gray-area, might/may/will be excluded. This issue of 'negative test, but close contact with someone who tests positive requiring detention' needs to be addressed by the regime ASAP. All policies I've reviewed (TUNE, AXA, maybe one other) do not cover this expense. They only cover medically necessary treatments. The regime needs to indemnify all ThailandPass customers against this possibility and expense. Or offer insurance. Props to AZA for being so honest, truthful and forthcoming in those responses. Normally one gets lawyer-babble.
  12. Finally have appointments for the first shot on 3 Dec. My PoS is up to queue # 21,000.
  13. Slapping people down, who are sincerely trying to help you, is not conducive to planning a successful event. The official policy "appears" to be that some negative tested/close contacts are directed towards asymptomatic detention for 10 - 14 days. My guess is that this policy is in Thai only, and resides with the CCSA or MoPH. It is not highlighted in the ThailandPass infographics for obvious reasons. I sincerely wish you the best of luck planning your event.
  14. The co-founder, Konnarong Tungfun, 39, says he has manufactured Thailand’s first homemade assault rifle, the DT17
  15. Approved in May Approved for 12-17 YO in September I think the article refers to the approval for import/shipment of this specific lot? Probably a thai paperwork thing. Moderna imports seem to warrant a great deal of "scrutiny", see the Poland donation to Thammasat. Meanwhile CRA gets "approval" in 24 hours, places sinopharm order on a Friday, receives product on a Monday. Amazing thailand.
  16. I think anutin wants people to get vaccinated NOW. Many (1 mm?) are waiting for their Moderna, and nutin is trying scare/shame/entice them to get vaccinated now. Dangling Pfizer is deliberate. It's not clear to me how much Pfizer is actually in hand. The U.S. donation is surely all administered, and the government has said they have ordered 20 mm and another 10 mm doses (with a further 30 mm planned for 2022). I haven't seen any news but think some of these (~ 10 mm??) have been delivered as close to 4 mm students are said to be 2x Pfizer vaccinated. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/government-reports-over-90-of-students-12-18-vaccinated So I think the thai public may have access to Pfizer (free) today, but would imagine this is not a universal policy.
  17. thais have a passive-aggressive/love-hate relationship with luk khrueng. Ms. Scott-Kemmis has taken some heat for being "plus-sized", clearly a different meaning here where any woman slightly above anorexic is deemed "plus size"? She also comes across as "modern", which is scary for thai men. Anyone viewed as modern is viewed as a threat to the status quo. And Sonthiya is the defender of the minions and dinosaurs. He's filed dozens of police complaints over the years. Why a private citizen is allowed to file a criminal complaint is beyond me. Leftover remnants of a neolithic "legal" system (Three Seals, 1805).
  18. Which will change a dozen times between now and April. And how does a policy help you plan/mitigate? Any current "close-contact" policy covers both the arriving aircraft and local ground transportation Challenging to plan an event of this size, remotely five months hence. Maybe choose a location which is more reliable?
  19. Based on comments here, on FB and thai social media, there has been a clamp-down on the import of electronic items, especially as crossy mentions, if they have any sort of radio transmitter (cellular, bt, wifi, etc.). Sometimes, if the device is already registered/approved here you can pry it loose. No clue how all the grey-market sellers here get their kit through, assume they have contacts and pay for special services. I bought a Pixel 6 recently here, grey-market, so didn't have to deal with the import/shipping as it "shipped" from Nonthaburi. Yes, we all bought phones from off-shore in prior years, but I wouldn't do it now, unless a special model and COD.
  20. And 1.0 mm donation from the U..S. arrived this week. And Zulleg says 1.4 mm are due latest first week of December, from the 1.9 mm order. And another 6 mm Moderna are on order for Q1 delivery. I'm still unclear on the breakdown of the total ~ 8.6 mm doses ordered by the GPO from Zulleg Therapeutics. 1.0 mm were said to be for the TRC. My Moderna PoS is up to queue number 16,000, adding 3,000 every two days.
  21. These sorts of statements are a bit troubling if they portend the regime's position that private hospital paid vaccines are being greatly discouraged and restricted. I'm not sure if this is spill-over from the family feud involving THG, or is representative of the larger government vaccine policy? And I'm not sure why the regime is taking such a strong stance NOW? There will be no loss off face for them as nearly 80 mm doses have been administered. Eventually private hospitals will have to be allowed to order and administer vaccines.
  22. I think among his many, many, many "instructions", "directions" and "orders" over his term as self-appointed junta leader and pm include solving: air/smog/smoke Bangkok traffic Flooding COVID Vaccines Standing during the song halting crossborder migration Investigate glove snafu Streamline Thailand Pass He issues at least handful of orders each day. and let's not forget "his" twelve values: Prayut Chan-o-cha’s 12 values of education: 1. Loyalty to the Nation, the Religion, and the Monarchy. 2. Honesty, sacrifice, endurance, and noble ideology for the greater good. 3. Gratitude for parents, guardians, and teachers. 4. Diligence in acquiring knowledge, via school studies and other methods. 5. Preserving the Thai customs and tradition. 6. Morality and good will toward others. 7. Correct understanding of democracy with the King as Head of State. 8. Discipline, respect for law, and obedience to the older citizens. 9. Constant consciousness to practice good deeds all the time, as taught by His Majesty the King. 10. Practice of Self-Sufficient Economy in accordance with the teaching of His Majesty the King. 11. Physical and mental strength. Refusal to surrender to religious sins. 12. Uphold the interest of the nation over oneself.
