Come up with an adolescent/pediatric solution. It's going to require dedication and focus, which are usually not practiced here on any issue save not letting the proles have a representative legal system or government, for the long term.

I assume these sorts of press accounts are meant for the thai public which remains concerned about foreigners bringing in COVID-19? The current screening process seems sufficient. That said, there was a patient zero for Alpha and Delta here. Follow protocols, continue the vaccination/booster efforts and hope for the best. And an amulet or three wouldn't hurt. I don't follow the situation closely but the surge in Europe seems concerning. Not sure if this is a precursor for other regions?

That may be old news. AFAIK boosters are recommended (in the U.S.) for all 18+ at 6 months. Think this was approved/announced last Friday. The question for the OP and others 2x vaxxed with Pfizer here: where, when and how can I get a Pfizer booster at/around + 6 months. The government has said they ordered 20 mm doses of Pfizer, but have variously mentioned amounts up to 32.5 million (an earlier 10 mm does order and 2.5 mm in donations). They've also mentioned plans for 30 mm Pfizer in 2022. Hopefully private hospitals will be freed to order, import and administer vaccines in the future. For the OP, I would suggest contacting the place where you received the Pfizer.

Most of the ThaiPass/$50k policies I've reviewed, including the ones which say "New, improved with Asymptomatic Coverage", do not in fact cover forced detention, with no symptoms. They cover "medically necessary treatments". Richard Barrow quoted a friend of a friend who says he was detained because he shared transport from the airport to the hotel with a person who subsequently tested positive. Cost was quoted as 112,000 baht, I think and was claimed to have been covered by insurance. The regime needs to clarify this ASAP. Just indemnify all ThaiPass arrivals and be done with it. I guess I would buy up for solo transport.

Can anyone find the "law" which dictates the mask mandate and associated penalties? The Communicable Disease Act (2558) was modified (June 2564) to mention masks, but seemed to tie that to provinces, and local determination. It says something like: people should wear a face mask when leaving their home, the penalty for not wearing a mask can result in up to 20,000 Baht fine AFAIK, the BMA has mandated masks. AFAIK, there is no law or statute. The regime should clarify this matter, and publicize it for everyone, including citizens, migrant workers and tourists. I expect most tourists think that if there is a mask requirement it does not apply to them.
