  1. They should have at least one bank name and account number listed, so you would transfer funds from your local Thai bank account to theirs. Or if you have mobile banking with your local Thai bank there may be a QR code (on the hospital's PoS) to scan from within your bank's app.
  2. Besides conflating one dose with "being vaccinated", these figures do not account for the sinovac 2x patients, who the government say need a booster. So 10 - 12 mm people will require a 3rd shot. Still, they are crushing it during the week with ~ 800,000 doses administered daily, and second doses outstripping first doses by 2x.
  3. The thai fda has yet to approve sputnik, said to be a paperwork <deleted>. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/40002066 I think russian tourists fully vaccinated with sputnik can enter thailand via the lowered quarantine sandbox schemes. russian internet trolls extoll the virtues of sputnik, while denigrating vaccines generally. Oof.
  4. InvadeIT, they charge 1,000 baht for assembly. They have a decent HW selection. https://www.invadeit.co.th/ Advice, either directly or via one of their retail outlets also offers a build option. They are the largest VAR in Thailand. Many shops purchase from them. https://www.advice.co.th/ This can all be done virtually, no need to go any place, assuming those places are actually open. And one firm recommendation, buy ASAP as prices/availability are only going north/south. Also: integrated graphics. Retail prices are tightly controlled here, so shop on availability, word of mouth, return policy and build/shipping prices.
  5. Yeah, hopefully this will allow us to use the online 90-day reporting system. Will prepare a mail-in package just in case. And I assume we'll have to file a 90-day report at each subsequent annual extension? I guess I'll add a TM.47 to my doclist. When I went the previous week, they just handed out the TM.47s to us in the "L" desk waiting area, saying it could get us "into the system and allow us to use the online system". I completed the form, handed it back to the staff person, who returned with a new next report date slip. This was done before meeting with the initial IO.
  6. Looks like 360p tops. But I guess it's better than nothing. No TNF on NFLN, or the free version of GPi. But it was on TrueVisions. Another close game.
  7. The web dashboard has a line-item history: Account history, Transaction history which lists every item. All would be revealed there. I confess to not reading your entire post - far too confusing. But my best guess is that you are not using WiFi calling and have been making/receiving calls and texts at roaming charges? I have to say that UM is absolutely brilliant to date. Turn on the phone, can receive texts as soon as the phone has a WiFi signal. Whereas with T-Mo it takes a good 5 minutes of poking and prodding (messaging is blocked for this time) to get it up and running. All that said Google Voice (or Google Prompts) still works on 100% of my applications, and I've switched 2FA, where possible, to a FIDO Security Key.
  8. Does she have her passport in hand? What is the status of her stay? Valid, current 60-day Covid extension? How much is left on the loan? This is a civil matter? And not a criminal one? Are these additional debts owed in Thailand? She can't earn in Thailand. Throwing her in jail does the bank no good. Maybe try to fashion an agreement to repay the loan once she is allowed to return to her home country, where she can find work, earn income and repay the loan?
  9. Not sure? Seems like you should have been charged? Yes. I pay 200 baht each year at BBL. Same-same at SCB. But maybe the annual fee has gone up since I was last charged?
  10. Just choose the state wisely. Some state's tax collection agencies have been getting more aggressive. Some will accept the mail-forwarding "excuse" if you can provide mountains of proof re: the permanency of your relocation. Also consider things like jury duty summonses. I'd do a bit of research, and make sure you understand any government type documents you might be signing when providing your "address".
  11. Topic has come up here at least a few times so a search might yield some insight. I don't recall a lot of success, but maybe things have changed? I was able to create standing wire transfer orders at Fidelity ( for SCB and BBL ) in person, at a branch so no need for the medallion thingy, during a visit to the U.S. All that said, I'd just use Wise. Just as fast, can be done on-line so no need for a call to Fidelity, and yields only slightly fewer baht (Fidelity does not charge any international wire transfer fees). Do you have another bank/account in the U.S.? It may be easier to Wise from that, and Fidelity offers free domestic ACHs to that account; can be done online. I've Wise'd from BofA to BBL successfully. Never tried from Fidelity.
  12. Probably just a logistics issue. Longer interval not so bad? Hardly worth the concern. Japan has donated another 300,000 Vaxevria (AZ) doses to Thailand. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/crimecourtscalamity/2021/09/15/japan-to-donate-300000-more-az-shots-to-thailand/ An extended interval between the first and second dose of Vaxzevria of up to 45 weeks, resulted in up to an 18 fold increase in antibody response, measured 28 days after the second dose. With a 45 week dosing interval between the first and second dose, antibody titres were four times higher than with a 12 week interval, demonstrating that a longer dosing interval is not detrimental but can derive stronger immunity. https://www.astrazeneca.com/media-centre/press-releases/2021/vaxzevria-induced-immunity-for-at-least-1-year-following-a-single-dose-and-strong-immune-responses-following-either-a-late-second-dose-or-a-third-dose.html
  13. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mor.promplus Works fine for me, initially my passport field was blank, but that's since been populated. Not sure if this will be used though. Imagine the queues as some rent-a-guard is trying to check each entrant. Maybe for a the first day, then BAU.
  14. Turn off VPN. Incoming calls are free. Calls to/from Thailand charged at your plan rate, 1 baht/min or minutes deducted from your plan. You need LINE to message someone in Thailand? Just use your U.S. SIM. Good luck, I'm sure you'll sort it out.
  15. So if I hard-code my ethernet adapter to a specific DNS does that "rule" over what I've hard-coded within my router (if different)? What happens to my preferred DNS when using a VPN? Assume it changes but to what? A DNS server located in the country of my VPN IP? And why does it look like my DNS is 172.nnn.nnn.nnn (also Google) when set to 8.8.8.8? Is Google 8.8.8.8 simply directing me to their closest/best/fastest DNS server?
  16. I think a (working) patch has been distributed as of yesterday. For my version it was https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/september-14-2021-kb5005565-os-builds-19041-1237-19042-1237-and-19043-1237-292cf8ed-f97b-4cd8-9883-32b71e3e6b44 As part of a feature update, also 7/15/21, I noticed the following was added...
  17. In the Lockscreen submenu, under "Background" select "Windows Spotlight". After that the "Get fun facts..." radio button should stick.
  18. You can transfer your LINE account to a new number, even on a U.S. SIM. You can transfer your LINE account to a new device. You can receive the LINE SMS if you use DTAC Call over WiFi.
  19. DTAC probably won't forward the SMS. Could be the bulk provider LINE uses vs. Bangkok Bank. Try using DTAC Call on WiFi, the SMS should come through. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.co.dtac.wificalling&hl=en&gl=US Or use a local U.S. SIM.
  20. Interesting move. No issues - obviously - with the CRA importing vaccines on their own. This ability was royally gazetted. But why can't other private organizations import vaccines?
  21. Monoclonal antibody treatment. Think this was used to treat then president trump when he was infected.
  22. prayut is wise enough to realize he can't take on LISA and her millions of fans worldwide. Some ultra-nationalists made a run at her last week but wisely backed off. Yes, there is some thai culture in this video, a lot if you consider pole-dancing to be thai culture. As long as she isn't overt in supporting reforms - there is some "messaging" in her LALISA video ("So you need to speak up", with police in riot gear) - she should be "safe" from any attitude-adjusting.
