Thailand to Implement 300-Baht Fee for Foreign Arrivals
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think the bulk of the 700 baht goes to AoT? Or CAAT. Used I think to fund airport operations. -
Agreed, people like to imagine the strangest things. More likely: Stoners driving slowly get rammed by meth heads driving too fast.

Cambodia Considering High-Speed Railway Lines to Thailand
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think that was the ground-breaking ceremony? The first train ran October 18, 2021. First Cross-Border Train From Thailand To Cambodia On 18 October 2021. The first international cross-border cargo train from Thailand to Cambodia ran on 18 October 2021 with a delivery of used rails, concrete sleepers, and fastenings from the State Railway of Thailand to Royal Railway Cambodia. https://railtravelstation.com/first-international-train-thailand-cambodia/ -

Prepaid? Postpaid? Still available? Link to description? Yes, you can port out, called Mobile Number Portability (MNP), from one provider to another allowing you to keep your number. I didn't want to mention this as the OP isn't really sure what he needs, and porting can be complicated. Nearly all plans can be found on all three providers, so porting is not that big a thing. https://www.ais.th/move-to-ais/en/ -
Disclaimer: I know nothing. I think he wanted out of a lot of his TSLA stock, for whatever reason, and the Twitter escapade allowed that without having a run on the stock. Note that he also has a reverse termination fee ($1 B) on the Twitter deal. Musk’s Twitter financing tests Wall Street’s mettle: ‘What could go wrong?’ https://www.ft.com/content/f60b6385-eef6-461e-9fcc-b3cb999a70c6 FWIW I started following him a few days ago. Wow he's weird, or maybe just stoned. I'm sensing more Howard Hughes here than Howard the Duck. Again, let's all be thankful he can't be POTUS.

Yeah, the nearby Chateau Budweiser was a giveaway. It's almost certainly a markdown shelf. The only question is why the ended up there. I'm assuming those prices are applicable to the items above them. Too small to verify.

Yes, but the response from one vocal critic here was the they didn't watch it because it was too long. That hasn't stopped them from spending hours fashioning posts on this thread though. Go figure.

Looks like a bargain-bin/mark-down shelf? Factory-seconds? Maybe bargain bin because of the excise label, or some other damage, or a customer return. Or maybe it's older stock - (yes I know its the same vintage) - so gets marked down. The Suncraft looks like it had some leakage. God only knows these wines suffer ultra-high heat once in the supply chain here. Maybe take one of those and 11 of the others, make sure they scan the lower priced one first.

Thailand to Implement 300-Baht Fee for Foreign Arrivals
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
As described to date, this 300 baht will not result in a personalized health insurance policy for travelers. It will go into a massive pool of cash, from which some small portions may be distributed to hospitals having to care to foreigners without insurance, and/or providing a health flight back home. That some authorities position it as insurance is a HUGE error, IMO. But it's from "Keep them guessing" thai playbook. -

Adjacent thread ahs some info for you. https://aseannow.com/topic/1258165-truemove-h-pre-paid-data-codes-anyone-have-a-good-plan/ Without any detail re: usage/budget it's a <deleted> shoot. Maybe 5 GB auto-renew for 199/month? https://www.true.th/truemoveh/site/topping/upgrade_options?package_id=625&priceplan_id=2424 Look through options on the True mobile app. -
Which route, airlines? Do you mean BKK-XXX-LHR? Airlines will not issue tickets which do not meet the MCT. You can check past flight timings for specific routes/flight numbers to get a feel for performance. Weather, war, local labor relations, IT have a larger potential impact I would guess. Inherent structural/operational issues at a specific airport? Probably not.

Well you could take your own advice, which is I think, stop breathing. I've got no problem with people igniting questionable liquids and inhaling the resulting smoke. Freedom of choice. Just don't do it where it affects others, especially children, the elderly, those with health issues. I mean you're free to masturbate all you want in private, but (I hope) you're not doing it in public.

Thailand to Implement 300-Baht Fee for Foreign Arrivals
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The regime has been deliberately vague on why this fee is needed now, how this money will be collected, from whom, and how it will be administered, and by which ministry. Many, many, many, many unanswered questions. It's far too early to "argue" about whether the collected fees will be used "as intended". Unless the funds are intended to be embezzled. Yes, there have been vague references to coral reefs, and unpaid medical expenses. But I foresee a headline ca. 2025: Permanent Secretary charged by NACC with embezzling the TTF to the tune of 3 billion baht. -

How much data do you use? You can check past usage, Settings, Network & internet, Internet, Data usage, choose a date range. What is your budget? Do you make voice calls? Send SMSes? Do you need to keep a specific number? And then add on a data package? -
What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)

Yes, high marks for the first six eps., I did like David Cartwright's (Jonathan Pryce) comment about George Smiley. Gary Oldman, among others, has said in interviews that the next six eps are in the can, but no idea when Apple + might drop them? Based on the positive reviews - haven't seen any view-counts - a season 3 might be green-lit shortly. I have to admit that I did not get all the meanings of the show title until ep. 5. I simply thought Slow Horses referred to being put out to pasture, or sent to the glue factory, as they cannot win races anymore. Then I realized its also a homonym for Slough House. D'oh! Re: Tokyo Vice, I enjoyed it but the ending left a bit of a sour taste, with the last line not really making any sense. Obviously if there's a season 2 then this can be remedied. -

Truemove H Pre Paid Data Codes, anyone have a good plan?
mtls2005 replied to bmanly's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Thanks for this info. Do you recall the details on the original SIM/plan purchase? You bought a new SIM, paid 1,790? For one year? From a reseller? Was this your first renewal? -
I'm wondering where everyone was when he went all "Pedo guy"? I recall many here clamoring for his scalp. He was found not to have defamed Mr. Unsworth. Musk testified that "Pedo Guy" was an insult, and not a statement of fact. Handy that. Amazing how the right-wing neo-fascists are so excited about this development. Musk is nothing if not mercurial. He can turn on a dime, with some wine and herb, so don't hitch that boat up too tightly.
