Police asked to probe Move Forward MP over army’s ‘IO’ allegation
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
OK, so that old excuse that the Army is "above" politics can be put to rest? -
Pfizer vaccine gets full FDA Approval in the USA
mtls2005 replied to gk10012001's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Never understood why folks who make this specious argument somehow think it's a "winner"? It's nothing if not the opposite. -
Problems With Transferwise (Wise)
mtls2005 replied to Skeptic7's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
What is the problem? I read your post(s) twice, lots of interesting background, good back-story and character development, but no plot. Ok, a McGuffin. Any type? Impossible? Rendered useless? Then a bunch of posts about what you don't do. Keep is simple. Describe the thing you're trying to do, and where it fails. -
Travel with Siam Bioscience AZ vaccine
mtls2005 replied to MattMartini's topic in Q&A, Ask the Consular Team
Ouch, that's pretty vague. If you have two doses of Pfizer here in Thailand, they way I read that link, you would not qualify as fully-vaccinated? -
Joe Ferrari's tagline, "Paper* or Plastic?" *Paper means cash money. Just realized that might not be clear. I think they do this sort of thing in the Philippines, and my home country. Probably more effective for sure, I mean other than the human rights violations. Obviously different situation than Thailand, where this is probably well-known to happen, just that they want to keep it out of the public eye. Hence the hand-wringing by the regime.

The green Covid Vaccine Certificate - and how you get it.
mtls2005 replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
When I use the QR code from my vaccination paperwork it takes me to a different-looking MoPH document. It does have Nationality, mine translates from Thai to my correct nationality. -
So arrange company in advance. What am I missing here?

The green Covid Vaccine Certificate - and how you get it.
mtls2005 replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Within a few minutes of getting my second dose, the Mor Prom + app was populated with that info in the ID Card/Dripping Syringe tab. And the Vaccine Covid-19 Certificate was available. Very official looking. Calls my 6000000nnnnnnn number "ID Card Number". The Digital Health Pass section just contains a dummy document. Assume that can be linked when issued? -

mtls2005 replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I think your mobile number needs to be in the MoPH database, and match to your 600000nnnnnnn Thai Vaccination ID number. That's my guess. -

Sequential, I would think, otherwise you run the risk of duplications. How are pink id card numbers derived? Those are also 13 digits, and also begin with "6", right? -
How soon after the first dose did these symptoms first present? How long did they last? Maybe ask when you go in for your second dose? Surely those medical professionals have the experience and knowledge to help you. Or just trust loons on the interwebs, like me.

If the term is completed then you probably revert to some default speed like 64/128 Kbps? What does the MyAIS app say about the status of your account? Enjoy internet 4G/3G at speed 10Mbps quota 100GB/month. After the 4G/3G data allowance is reached, customers can use unlimited data at the speed of 128Kbps. After package expired (12 months) Call to all networks 0.99 Baht/minute Internet 2 Baht/MB SMS 3 Baht/message, MMS 4 Baht/message SIM Price is 7%VAT inclusive. Calling and value-added service fees are 7% VAT exclusive After package expired, you can change the package by calling *777. In case you have changed the package before package expired, you cannot resume to NET MARTHON’s Package. https://www.ais.th/one-2-call/en/marathon1790.html Seems like a decent promotion, seeing 1,590 just today at the usual suspects.

Phuket Sandbox - They said I got COVID ?
mtls2005 replied to Faranguz's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
There's this fallacy which many people seem to believe: I'm vaccinated so I cannot contract the virus. This was the day 6/7 test? Probably a false-positive, but you could have contracted the virus during your travel to HKT? -
Girlfriend in/near Korat not responding fear Covid

She must be on Facebook, (and LINE), right? That's the place to look, then try some of her friends. -
What are the estimates on the split between real tourists, and those wanting to return without ASQ? Seen some estimates that coalesce around 50% are tourists. Saw this just now in a nearby thread... 2% went missing? 58% went back to their country of origin after Phuket. 40% went elsewhere in Thailand.

At first I thought the email was a phishing expedition, after all it came from "Identity Theft Prot.", not sure I want to give more family jewels away to another company. And they want everything short of a DNA test. Fool me once... Especially one founded by a tax-evading criminal who chose to hang himself in a Spanish prison before being extradited to the U.S. Sure it's free, but, meh. I'd rather pay for a decent service, assuming I even need one.

PM hits back at opposition claims to do with vaccine acquisition
mtls2005 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Tell us again why private organizations can't order vaccines? His nose is about to hit him in the back of the head. -
Prayut says AstraZeneca picked SBS as partner, not the government
mtls2005 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And the rest of the country replied, "Yes, maybe, but..." - all comments strictly forbidden. Not really a difficult choice for AstraZeneca now was it? -
Thousands join protest in Bangkok demanding prime minister's resignation
mtls2005 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Shut Down Bangkok worked for the minions in 2014. One massive central permanent protest site is required. Keep it peaceful. (easy to say as the yellows have the police and army as their violent wing) -
Doubling down for political expediency is never a smart move when it comes to the health of your citizens. Better to just be honest and say "Look this is the best we can do. And we're planning ahead for years by securing second generation vaccines and boosters." They're relying on the masses falling in line and "believing" what their betters say is true. But the public is way past being able to be bottled up like pesky school children being forced to prostrate themselves. Don't you just love it when Thai officials use implied threat? And notice he doesn't mention efficacy. This seems to be more about getting two doses of something into people.
