Law & culture - Is Mandate 2 still law in Thailand?
mtls2005 replied to rose33's topic in General Topics
Oh, right. Rama 7 abdicated in 1941, for some reason I thought it was earlier. I have zero expertise but suspect these sorts of decrees are not codified specifically in thai law. There are probably other laws, there always are here, which are broad enough to cover the topics: Sections 113-118... Section Code: 0113 - 0118 Criminal Code SPECIFIC OFFENSES TITLE I OFFENCES RELATING TO THE SECURITY OF THE KINGDOM -
ATMs have physical limits on a single cash disbursement, often in the 20,000 - 30,000 range. The slot can only accommodate so many bills. And your financial service provider probably has daily limits. Research those. Without a lot, lot, lot, lot more detail (do you have a local bank account, which cards are you using, any ATM debit card) I think you're going to have to do 4 or 5 separate ATM withdrawals to get to 100,000 baht. Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion. Get a local bank account ASAP and use WISE to transfer money.

'Nuff said. That's the problem with having dinosaurs roam the kingdom. The video is PAINFUL, gotta feel for the actors/singers, what an embarrassment. Call centers proliferate here because of cooperation of the authorities. Two minutes after the first telephone call was made in Siam, some chap was using it to sell someone buffalo insurance.

Chromecast and Laptop need to be on the same network, and on a VPN your laptop is on a virtual network in the ether, OR you need to run the VPN on the Chromecast. There are clients for most major VPN providers in the PlayStore. This assumes you have the latest version of Chromecast: Chromecast with Google TV https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_google_tv?pli=1&hl=en-US VPN provider?

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)

I finally got around to Bosch Season 7. Amazing show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkA7xFnndfg With creator Eric Overmeyer's credentials, comparison to The Wire (along with other cast members Jamie Hector and Lance Riddick) is inevitable. Det. Collins mentions to J. Edgar, "Have you watched The Wire...", classic. Looking forward to the next incarnation: Bosch: Legacy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHembDvQtbY -
Honestly, from memory from one of thousands of articles on the subject. Of course I can't find it now. That figure may have been one single coop, or the government's target size based on GPO contracts? I think you need a lot of equipment, security, electricity (light dep), and contracts, like with the GPO and/or a hospital, for the finished crop(s). The BAAC was providing loans. I think you're talking this level, and not a closet grow? I'd have the wife snoop around Roi Et. Have her look for a BJT rep on FB who was in Roi Et yesterday. Of course I can't find his FB post either. I think Hemp seeds, maybe used to make oils/powders for food and health industries, are an expected commodity here. Have seen some quotes on these per kilo. Many countries far ahead so thailand will have to rely on domestic uses, maybe export some finished goods like soap? Sure. ????

Are you a thai citizen? I don't think you can participate if you are a foreigner? Coops require 10-12 participants, 300,000 baht investment.

Law & culture - Is Mandate 2 still law in Thailand?
mtls2005 replied to rose33's topic in General Topics
Ah yes, Field Marshall Pibul. Helped with the 1932 '"event" then usurped that group. Changed country name. Taken hostage during the Manhattan Rebellion. Died in exile in Japan, only allowed to return as ashes. Are you certain that these were ever codified as "laws"? My guess is that they are not as they would have to have been royally approved and that wouldn't have happened. So, no. -
Where do you live? At least the province. How big an operation did you envision? Most operations to date are corporate or cooperative. Pathum Rat District in Roi Et province. Contact your local representative, or BJT office, or MoPH.

TV make and model? Netflix UK, i think you'll need a VPN too. Budget for your streaming app(s)? You have broadband internet, WiFi, a mobile phone (iPhone? Android?). I have no experience with the British streaming options here but there have been hundreds of posts so a search might yield some valuable info., my vaguest recollection is that you need some sort of spoofing (VPN, DNS, etc.) for most streams.

No, yes, maybe. And these boxes are not "new-fangled". In fact they're nearly obsolete. Depends on the TV, especially the operating system. And depends on the box. And depends on the app. It's challenging to find one TV onto which all apps can be loaded; there are many hurdles: region, TV OS, app availability for the platform, etc. So some use a combination of casting from a phone, attached box/device (Android or PC) and embedded TV apps. Some third-parties resell Android boxes with apps/services pre-installed, and charge a fee. It all depends on what you want to stream.

Which app? Is it in the Playstore? If not you'll have to source the app from an APK site, or use and aggregator platform. Simply Google the app name and Android Box. Gazillions of Youtube videos.

Covid: Emergency decree extended yet again - Songkran blamed
mtls2005 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
In the restive southern provinces the "Emergency Decree" has been renewed at least 63 times for three months each time since 2005. No clue why they need this COVID decree as they already have all the self-granted power they can use.
