  1. Use Google? With Advanced? "Search Terms" site: aseannow.com
  2. People buy online for product availability, ease of use, cheaper, simpler, next day delivery, free returns. Not seeing a return to the buggy whip, or anything to disrupt the trend? Obviously some people can't take advantage, those without internet access/devices/credit. Oh, and the Amish.
  3. How are you currently getting money from the U.S. to thailand? What is your timetable? What is your path to an extension of stay? With no details helping is challenging, but I would recommend directing your SSA benefit to a U.S. bank, then aggregating more than 65,000, say $2,200, and transferring that to your Bangkok Bank account via WISE. At least to get your feet on the ground for the first and second extensions. You SSA total benefit is of little interest to thai immigration. There is no doubt that the 800k path is the smoothest. In fact, transitioning from a 30 TVE to a 90-day Non-O to a 1-year ext may be more challenging with the income method?
  4. Like so many things "immigration" here, YMMV. Imagine some offices manage the new Microsoft Office365 software well, while others may not have been trained yet? For larger offices like Bangkok/CW an appointment is probably something to be considered. Back in the olden days with the previous appointment system, it worked well. Most reports on the new system seem positive. There are limited slots per day, and those can fill up. You can make an appointment 30-ish days in advance, which does not include the 30-45 day advance a local office might allow, so 60 - 75 days before any deadline.
  5. Do they ever reveal, after notifying family of course, the names and ages of those who've died, and been injured? I don't recall this happening here, but then there is little follow-up on stories here. Without names and faces victims simply become statistics we quote, often in a false-equivalent argument. With names, faces and ages - one assumes at least one child was injured in this accident - there is no real public awareness, calls for accountability, and thus a stronger public demand for change.
  6. After a trip to Old Trafford, presumably to confab with the Glazers, he's un-retired. Tom Brady says he is returning to the NFL The Tampa Bay QB announced on Sunday that he is coming back from retirement and will play for the Buccaneers this season. "I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. ... I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG," Brady said. Brady initially announced his retirement from the NFL on February 1. https://www.nfl.com/news/tom-brady-unretires-nfl-community-reacts-to-brady-s-stunning-return-to-nfl?campaign=Twitter_atn
  7. Obviously I'm not staying up to speed on this issue, but I assume russian banks will issue new cards. Also seen mention of virtual cards. And some may already have UnionPay-embossed cards. The Russian embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, told Reuters that there was “support from the government directly” to Russians stuck there, adding that Russia's Pochta Bank is providing virtual cards using UnionPay, a Chinese credit card company. https://www.forbes.com/sites/lisakim/2022/03/12/thousands-of-cashless-russians-stranded-overseas-amid-flight-cancellations/?sh=6fe9f7928e22
  8. Perhaps you mean Southeast Pharmacy? https://www.facebook.com/SEPharmacy/ That may be where I bought the 500 mg Bayer?
  9. Yes, Finnair is flying daily, BKK-HEL, and it looks like they're running extra trains Helsinki-Moscow. Trains probably empty going to russia? And I think there are plenty of flights via the middle east and (I think) Turkey. Russians crowd trains to Helsinki as passage to EU narrows HELSINKI, March 8 (Reuters) - Hundreds of Russian passengers have filled up trains to Finland's capital Helsinki from Saint Petersburg every day since the war in Ukraine began and mutual airspace closures cut off flight connections between Russia and the European Union. The two trains on that route were almost empty before Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24 but were now fully booked with 700 people arriving from Russia daily, Finland's public railway operator VR said. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russians-crowd-trains-helsinki-passage-eu-narrows-2022-03-08/
  10. I bought Bayer 500 mg recently, five boxes with 2x10 strips, on line. Can't remember where though. Manufactured in Indonesia, imported by Bayer Thai Co. Ltd. Also bought 325 mg 50 strips/10 ea from https://medtide.com/product/aspirin-325-mg-10-tablets-strip/ also online. (I know it says they're sold out, but also says available from 11 March so check. BTW, gazillions of threads on this subject here so a search - probably how I found the above - might yield some valuable info.
  11. BofA replaced their three security questions (favorite pizza topping) ages ago with out of band OTPs. High value transactions, over $1,000, require one-time authorization codes (voice, SMS, security key - which replaced the older SafePass card). There are at least ten (10) security features which should be enabled with BofA. Still unclear on the OP's specific concern(s)? Is it that someone could get online access to their account and then transfer money out to another account (ACH, SWIFT, Zelle)? ATM card loss? Credit card fraud? Did the OP get some dark-web service/alert? There is one hole, when using WISE you need to allow a third-party service (PLAID) to access your account, but still with multiple points of security. After the transaction you can disable this access. With proper set-up, and monitoring, you should be as safe as you can be. If any concern I might change the PW and/or username. And use the mobile app. And implement 2FA for log-in.
  12. Define "loot"? Have you registered for online banking with B of A? DO you use the mobile app? Have you set up notifications? Access uses a username and password, along with optional 2FA. An account number and Social Security number wouldn't help, unless they phoned in and tried to fool a CSR into changing access on your account. Enable two-factor authorization for log-in, both via the web and the mobile app. You can use SMS or a voice call, requires a U.S. number. You can use a FIDO key. https://www.bankofamerica.com/security-center/online-mobile-banking-privacy/usb-security-key/
  13. I thought that China's UnionPay, also popular here, was going to process payments on russian express? (their motto: Leave Home.) I would think that thailand could jigger some sort of temporary processing agreement, backed by russian goods?
  14. Well what's going to change in the next 90 days? How can you live without money? Better to return now right? Do whatever you need to purchase a ticket. Ask the russian embassy for a loan? Pawn your valuables for thai baht? But I was just addressing your statement about there not "seeming" like any flights. There are, obviously.
  15. I guess it's a tradition for the third son to go into the police, presumably as it is easy to buy a senior position, and clean up after friends and relatives. Boating "accidents" are extra. This chap skated in 2020, also a 'third son". ‘HISO’ POLICE CAPT. KILLS FISHBALL SELLER IN HIT-AND-RUN BANGKOK — Police on Monday said results of an alcohol and drug test of a police officer who killed a fishball seller in a hit-and-run would take “weeks.” Police Capt. and socialite Akarawin Taechaubol, or “Hiso Jimmy,” turned himself into investigators on Thursday after he struck the victim, 49-year-old Udom Saengkanya, and fled the scene. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/crimecourtscalamity/2020/10/26/hiso-police-capt-kills-fishball-seller-in-hit-and-run/
  16. There are flights, via middle east carriers, among others. You could depart tomorrow.
  17. Meh. Credit Advice Receipts are provided to customers for free as evidence of a foreign remittance. Some get these mailed, some get them emailed. I stop into my branch, Bangkok Bank, to pick them up every month; there is no fee for this service, unless you are asking for CARs older than six months. There are ~ four staff at the foreign remittance desk in my branch, and they are quite familiar with the process. Just prior to going for my extension they provide a twelve month summary/cover letter listing all twelve Qualifying Foreign Transfers. Immigration finds this acceptable. Bangkok Bank has a template letter they use, and is addressed to Immigration. This works for me, others have documents (statements) which work for them. The desire here to insist others do as they do is weird. I think these (CAR) are required for some activities including showing the source of funds, say for a condo purchase. I'm not certain an FTT entry in a passbook or statement is sufficient for the condo purchase requirements. The OP asked for help. No problem listening to their question, and offering a potential answer.
  18. Agreed. AY144 has departed BKK daily for quite a while including the last seven days, with last evening's departure currently over the Black Sea. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ay144#2b1a64c3 Not seeing an issue on 19 March but obviously anything can happen.
  19. The submarine will have been christened by monks, and red bull jr will be tried (in absentia?) before the SRT pays a satang on this one. Barring some loss of face, like the seizure of an aircraft (again) this one will melt away.
  20. Because kratom is unregulated in many countries, export is a possibility. In the U.S. kratom remains legal at the federal level, but is really regulated at the state level. I think it's legal-ish in most states. It's pedaled by the vitamin squads, in powdered capsule format mostly. They'll have to jump through a fair amount of hoops first though. Cannabis remains highly regulated, where legal, and illegal elsewhere, so no export possibilities, except at hempish levels.
  21. Obviously there is more to your situation, and you seem reluctant to share that. And that's fine, by the way. Entirely your choice. Unless you are physically restrained, you could proceed to SBAI/BKK and fly out as early as Tuesday, 15 March. (There may be flights earlier, I simply looked at Qatar.) I understand that you do not want to leave. When you start talking about 500 baht per day, and living expenses, you'll spend more than an air ticket in the first 30 days of overstay. Go back home, re-group, and plan a future return to thailand under more legal conditions. I can see Immigration wanting to check up on russian and Ukrainian citizens here, if only to insure that they are healthy, and not in need of emergency economic relief packages. They may even search you out if only to help with your visa situation?
  22. "ordinary" russians have empowered rootin tootin pootin for 20 years. I don't "blame" them, but I certainly hold them responsible, at least in part. But my individual response will hardly harm or help "ordinary" russians.
  23. Not mine. Just the first ones I could find here, and elsewhere, with a quick search. Whatever one's local imm. office accepts: statements, passbooks, CARs, are what you need to source and provide. It's simple really. I have no clue what the OP really requires, or what their office requires. Just tryin' to help.
