  1. As if this submarine fiasco couldn't get any worse? They'll sort out the Hopewell Project and prosecute Red Bull Jr before this thing plies the waters of the shallow Gulf of Thailand.
  2. Worked in WW2, no reason why it wouldn't work now. And thailand is not neutral, they're just appeasing Russia, at least until it "looks" bad.
  3. The bigger issue may be that each office has its own 90-day online reviewers/approvers, perhaps more than one in larger offices, each with their own views on acceptability. Based on reports though, this doesn't seem to be as big an issue as the "See local office" errors on the OLD systems. I got rejected for using "Apt" instead of "Room". Even though I have used "Apt" for years one very single Imm document.
  4. This is a toss-up between your branch and their ability to clear foreign remittances. Larger branches do have foreign remittance departments. Ask at your branch first. You can find a BBL CAR by searching here or the wider interwebs. https://aseannow.com/topic/1086132-info-on-bangkok-bank-confirming-incoming-monthly-foreign-transfers/page/3/
  5. Thai Education Minister: Thai education resembles North Korea The Education Minister and the North Korean Ambassador to Thailand mutually agreed that the education systems of both countries are rather similar and plan to develop ties by educational exchanges. According to the Office of the Minister Newsline, Admiral Narong Pipatanasai, the Thai Education Minister, his Deputy Teerakiat Jareonsettasin, and Permanent Secretary Suthasri Wongsamarn met with Mun Song Mo, the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea on Friday at Government House. The two agreed that the educational systems of both countries are similar. The similar elements include free 12-year basic education. Moreover, a few students from North Korea come to Thailand to study. https://prachatai.com/english/node/4495
  6. What is the average ops (takeoffs/landings) per hour/day? What is the current increased activity level?
  7. Meh. Thailand has "downed" more of its own jets than any "enemy". Heck, they've downed them all, for a 100% kill rate. That sounds like just the right amount of "national security"? Now do the Gulf of Thailand. And the HTMS Chakri Naruebet. Feel free to share your reading list. ????
  8. Can this be done at the airport? Nearby? Any Immigration office? The office where you last resided? The office which granted to your current permission to stay? Seems like if it's the OP's last day they are probably on their way to, or already at, the airport (BKK presumably)? quote: I cant go within 1 week back and due to this problem i must stay a while How long is "a while"? Are there other flights? When is the next flight? Are we talking about a country affected by war, invasion, natural disaster? Which airline? What was the reason for the cancellation? Have they offered a rebooking?
  9. Recently? Within two business days would be my guess, (for CW), based on my experience and reading about those of others. Example, you file after COB on a Friday, you should have a result (approved or rejected) by 16:00 on Tuesday. Other offices? Seen reports of as little as twelve minutes.
  10. He averted a labor/economic disaster last month with truckers poised to shutdown the country, by promising to keep the price at/below 30/l until 31 March 2022. Obviously he wasn't aware of the pending Ukraine invasion and resulting pressures on oil markets. Eventually prayut is going to say enough, and retire to the privy council.
  11. Big Joke is all over the place: ghost ship, sex trafficking, organ harvesting. OK, I'm confused? Did she have to tele-market her own organs?
  12. Citizenship/passport country? Vaccination status? One single ticket BKK-ANC? And how young? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/international-travel-during-covid19.html https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/noncitizens-US-air-travel.html
  13. So these will be used in about the only conflict thailand has seen in close to fifty years, against their own citizens protesting. Seems like they could use a couple of rainmaking planes to strafe protesters?
  14. 3 minutes, 3 hours, 3 days, two business days, 5 calendar days, seen everything. Office-dependent, is what most experts here say. Some report are very detailed, down to the exact minute.
  15. should read My guess is that your error message: No Data means that they have NO records under your passport number currently.
  16. another 5 million. At this rate it will set the record the highest price paid for a pretty "date".
  17. I wonder where teachers learn this method of discipline? rhetorical It's not at university. They witnessed it as students, or were subject to it. All these exposés: bullying, hazing, beating, hair-cutting, psychological torture are all features of the thai social contract, meant to instill "respect" for authority. There have been similar exposés for years, and other than some hand wringing, nothing is done. Without this sort of activity thailand might veer wildly off course towards a more equal society, and that would lead to diminishment of some of the institutions.
  18. That's not the view of most of the thai public, unless that changed massively overnight? She was estranged from her daughter for most of her 37 years. And only popped into her life over the last ~ 3 years after her father passed. Truth, justice, reality...if anyone is expecting these things, and I know I would be, they will be sorely disappointed. This has stayed in the news because it's exactly like a lakorn, only less believable. Not sure anything could knock it out of the headlines except for time. Even a wag-the-dog dust-up Preah Vihear. This isn't the first pretty to die under mysterious circumstances, nor will she be the last. Some live, and die in LA. And for a few, their bodies are never found. The people on the boat should have made one call, instead they chose to deal with it themselves in hopes of not angering the higher ups.
  19. I think there are one stop flights through ME carriers: QR, EK, EY. And Turkish Airways via IST. Some of the ME flights fly BKK-HKT-xxx-SVO: EY 431 So they can pick up at Phuket. One-way tickets issued for THL-RUS would be priced in THB. The local russian diplomatic corps can front the cost to its citizens I would think?
  20. Russian Internet Takes a Hit as Cogent Disconnects Backbone Network Cogent Communications told its Russian customers on Friday it's disconnected its high-capacity internet service because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the resulting economic punishment much of the rest of the world has begun. https://www.cnet.com/news/russian-internet-takes-a-hit-as-cogent-disconnects-backbone-network/
  21. Based on all the experts here, YES. Your first 90-day report must be done in person or my mail. My guess is that your error message: No Data means that they have records under your passport number currently. If you made a mistake or failed to enter a specific item, then the message might give that detail. Or, I guess, it could mean that you failed to give any data in a specific field. Note that the old system also displays Approved filings done on the NEW system.
  22. I got rejected using the new system. UbonJoe suggested this, it worked for me. Go to the OLD system, https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do Check the Status of your application (green box) Passport Information tab Enter your details Look for the rejected (Not approved) filing you just made, should be the top-most entry, click on View, scroll down to the field Approve's Remark (ADMIN) There may be an explanation for the rejection, in thai or english. Mine was ไม่มีเลขห้อง, No Room Number, refiled on the NEW system added room number (I had used Apt n? instead of Room n/N), was approved. CW.
  23. Well he just bought off the truckers (The Land Transport Federation of Thailand (LTFT)) last month, who were poised to essentially shut down the economy. Never seen a government so afraid of something. Was very telling that the usual "big hammer" wasn't used.
