I'm going to checkout  Goliath again..I usually give most shows a couple  of tries before I give  up  on them

Yeah, I factor in reviews of friends and internet reviewers I've bonded with too. I take recommendations here under advisement only, then do my own research. Enjoyed quite a few gems.

Look, I've watched and enjoyed hundreds (~500?) of David E. Kelly's courtroom/legal dramas over the years. Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, LA Law, The Practice, and other shows of his like Picket Fences. That I don't like one isn't all that shocking?

BTW, it was cool to see LisaGay Hamilton, from The Practice, in The Lincoln Lawyer as Judge Mary Holder.

So, I've got to disagree with both of you two chaps.

Odd that you go right to "disagree"? You're simply stating your own opinion. And I respect your opinion.

It would be sooo boring if we all had the same views / opinions?

Of course. Who would suggest otherwise? I mean other than you.

also, please take note that the requirements for demonstrating being able to support yourself can be met with money in the Thai bank OR demonstrating the monthly income. I use the latter method, preferring not to park investment dollars in Thailand.

Are you sure, about the income method being allowed for the Visa Exempt -->30 day ext-->Non-O 90 day-->1 year ext?

Based on many, many other threads and posts, it seems like the 800,000 method is the only one currently allowed?

Google: thailand convert visa exempt to Non-o retirement income site:aseannow.com

    Quoting UbonJoe here

"The transfers of 65k baht to prove your income is not listed on the requirements to apply for the non-o visa. It only shows proof on income from a embassy or 800k baht in a Thai bank."

Yes, you may be able to transition to the income method on your second annual extension renewal with twelve (12) qualifying foreign transfers.

  4. from the linked article...

When the plane was nearing the gate, he allegedly popped the window, slid off the wing and walked to the front of the stopped aircraft and started waving it to the gate.

Yeah, I think they'll come up with multiple felonies for his actions AFTER he popped the door.

All that said, give him a couple of orange batons so he can practice his aircraft marshalling skills while in pysch eval.

And a heads up to Amtrak and Greyhound as this chap won't be flying again unless it's private or for a parachute jump.

  5. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with the 800,000 money in the bank rules, specifically how it impacts your strategy re: subsequent extensions. Most park it 100% forever. Yes, you can dip into it, within the rules.

And make sure you will be able to initiate a transfer (SWIFT or WISE) once you are in thailand. (You can't set up a Standing Order as you don't yet have a thai bank account).

The mention of BoA sets of an alarm. You will need to pass two-factor authentication (2FA), so that requires either a U.S. mobile, associated with your account, capable of receiving an SMS while roaming here in thailand or a FIDO key (which will work anywhere).

I don't think you'll be able to initiate a SWIFT (or even ACH via BBL/NYC) transfer from BofA, remotely from thailand.

WISE works fine with BofA (via a third-party called PLAID) but even with this method you'll need to pass 2FA with BofA.

I would set all this up ASAP should you choose to go the route Safety First describes above.  (Based on what little detail you've provided I'd endorse that method as well.)

See if your current mobile phone SIM can roam internationally, if not get a SIM that can.

Buy and set up the FIDO key today.

And the beauty of this is the cost will be paid by good ole American tax paying public who care NOT about this war 5,000 miles away.

You do realize that these appropriations are approved by the Congress, with almost universal support. Sure a few knut-jobs like rand paul and mtg are against these. Well them and you apparently.

I have bring lost of other seeds in Thailand. All kind what Mrs. has wanted and she has sell that also. Get huge profit but not a bussiness if only hand carry those from Europe. Most what all has want is radish seeds!

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that you need an import license for some seeds. Heck, you need an import license for playing cards.

I would think you could find any seeds on FB; lots of people run small businesses importing and reselling these. Your wife could probably find these in  minute or two.

Again the risk, even with radish seeds, would be quite small, unless you are planning on importing millions of seeds.

I think CP started as a seed company ~ 100 years ago, so maybe your future looks bright?

I had call forwarding to Google voice in case my alcatel stop working .

You have met the enemy, and that's him staring back at you in the mirror.

I noticed the icon on your Alcatel photo, but I thought that it was a missed call notification. I tried looking for it but not much out there on that phone.

Then with the iPhone screenshot I was able to determine you have call forwarding enabled. Would have helped IMMENSELY had you told us about that from the get-go.

Do not enable WiFi calling yet.

Turn off all three call forwarding options, restart the phone.

    Fund UpRoam for $5.

Ask your son to ring your Mint Mobile number, let it ring through, no need to answer it. Ask your son to send an SMS to your MM number. If you receive it reply.

Now enable WiFi calling on the iPhone and with MM. Run the same experiments.

The fact that you're getting a roaming signal tells me you are registered on the MM/T-Mo network. And your use of call forwarding, or zero balance in the UpRoam account, was not allowing your SMSes to be delivered.

Sorry if asked already but is it legal to bring your own seeds to LOS. I can get as much seeds as i want in Thailand but want different "species". Dont want use much time to grow that one so bring hydrid seeds what only make female plants if its legal to bring yeah dont have legal to grow.

As I understand things, and I am not a lawyer, it is legal to import seeds (there is a bit of a loophole) currently, but that closes on June 9, 2022.

A lot of thais import and sell both feminized photoperiods and feminized autoflower seeds. Look on Facebook. Quite a few genetics, mostly from Europe. Some uplift as they assume the risk. These would be best grown indoors given the shorter daylight periods here; if grown outdoors then you'll need to supplement the light.

I do not think it would legal for you to either hand-carry seeds back to thailand, or order them for delivery to yourself, but the risk is quite small.

Obviously it is, and will remain, illegal for you to grow these seeds.

Baby steps, my friend. At least they're trying.

Yes, I did say it was "BRILLIANT".

The ONE thing I have control over with the 90-day reporting is knowing WHEN my next report is due; it's printed on the Receipt of Notification form.

Receiving an email, is well, superfluous for me. For some here it seems like the thai-equivalent of the moon landing.

Now receiving information in a Rejection email, about why it was rejected, might actually be useful.

Yes, I will stipulate that this newest system is a significant improvement, over the first system launched some 6-ish years ago.

  11. AIS is the roaming partner, what gets displayed varies by phone and partner.

Did you receive any SMSes from MINT mobile when you first used the iPhone?

Are you able to receive an SMS, BEFORE enabling WiFi calling, just by roaming on AIS?

You have to enable WiFi calling on the device, that's what your photo shows.

And you need to download install and run the Mint Mobile app.

And then enable WiFi calling for your account, can also be done with the web interface.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOmkDILLWvE

go to 7:28 for My Account options.

FYI, I see the phone-> icon on the status bar, I think that means that call forwarding is ON.

I'm not sure that is a good thing. Do you have your MINT mobile number forwarded to another number? If so, to which number? And why?

    https://www.mintmobile.com/faqs/how-do-i-turn-on-off-call-forwarding/

I would also make sure the iPhone is updated to the most current available version, mainly for Carrier Services.

No, I am using a step down transformer  220v to 110v because my Pioneer Elite SC-72 is 110v US domestic market unit.

And that allows you to use the unit here without issue?

Can you share any details on this transformer? Make, model? Source? Cost? Might help others.
