  1. Agreed. Works LIVE or from a photo. https://lens.google/ Lens may be baked into most Android phones - part of Assistant? And Lens can be used for so so so much more. It's tag-line, "Search what you see" says it all. Also baked into the desktop, with Chrome. Select an image, right-click, Search image with Google Lens Lens icon
  2. Long press on the icon, then drag it from where it resides (recently used, app tray, app screen, etc.) to your home screen, drop it.
  3. Can you describe how you used this application before, when it worked satisfactorily? You used it LIVE? Or took a photo? Does normal text (copy and paste) translation work? Jiggle the camera option from Auto to front or back. I'm sure it's something simple. Not sure I understand this statement?
  4. This seems like good news. They started on this procurement ~ 2011, (yes the order was issued in Sep 2020), so it's good to see the first batch delivered, on time.
  5. Weird way to start a thread, agenda identified. Who "believes" this? Maybe offer up some detail on these "so low" death rates. Chilli? Sheesh. Sorry, who's hiding or not hiding bodies? By adding this qualifier it seems like you kind of knew your post was garbage.
  6. I watched the first two eps of Reacher, 8 eps all dropped, on Amazon Prime. Love it, will binge it. Good to have a full-size Reacher (although Tom Cruise was OK), even if the other actors need to stand on boxes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSycMV-_Csw
  7. First, top up your account to say 500 baht. Use 10 baht top ups at a machine to increase expiry to 365 days. Enable international roaming. https://www.ais.th/roaming/en/register.html Consider WiFi Calling. https://www.ais.th/4g/vowifi/en/ No need for a package, unless you want one. Simply turn on your phone, get a signal (or use WiFi calling), then request an SMS OTP, it should come through. According to AIS's info: https://www.ais.th/roaming/en/package.html Receiving SMS while abroad is Free of Charge. Sending an SMS from the U.S. to thl would be 9.63 baht.
  8. ePacket seems like the ideal solution. The OP's sort of application is exactly why this service was introduced. https://international.thailandpost.com/services/epacket/?lang=en I read 285 baht to Zone 10 (U.S.) for 0 - 100 gr
  9. https://tna.mcot.net/english-news-825966 I think thailand went with Merck's Molnupiravir. https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG211126091715660
  10. Yeah, not the situation I was responding to. Maybe consider some estate planning, and transition to a tax preparer for after you croak? Your "plan" seems massively flawed, but that'll be your wife's problem.
  11. With porting you get to keep the same number. Most want to keep the same number. Some folks do not. Based on what little detail you've let slip, you might be better off with a prepaid plan. Good luck.
  12. You want to port your number from DTAC to AIS? Postpaid to postpaid? What is your current plan with DTAC? You want a similar plan? Budget? There are quite a few options, would suggest that you are in the best position to choose as you know your own requirements? https://www.ais.th/move-to-ais/en/
  13. Name change probably won't absolve ownership of the rampant sexual harassment and toxic culture at the WFT? Washington Perverts might be more apropos? Oversight Committee to Hold Roundtable with Former Washington Football Team Employees on Rampant Workplace Misconduct, Sexual Harassment https://oversight.house.gov/news/press-releases/oversight-committee-to-hold-roundtable-with-former-washington-football-team https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkluWmxrBNM https://www.c-span.org/video/?517544-1/washington-football-team-employees-workplace-environment
  14. This is not correct. Transfers or regular deposits are acceptable, as long as they are monthly and regular, and originate from outside of thailand. Already mentioned above: https://www.sdfcu.org/membership You may have to be part of an affiliate https://www.sdfcu.org/select-employee-groups or join the American Consumer Council first (free). Plenty of reports here so a search would help you I think? https://www.americanconsumercouncil.org/ You could then use WISE, or SDFCU SWIFT Wire Xfer (might be ~ $45 per month), to transfer funds. Have you verified how long foreign-remitted funds can be held at BBL? Can you manage for a few months without these funds? Can the trip to the Philippines be postponed?
  15. The entire reaction to the tragic death of Dr. Waraluk is best encapsulated with the term knee-jerk. (Which is to be expected here of course) "Bangkok's traffic problems to be solved in 30 days" What's next? 100 new overhead walkways? Clearly state the laws and rules. For example: pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk, regardless of light state, end of story. In a few weeks the paint will have worn away, or be covered with mold, and we'll be back to the old ways. And motorcycle traffic on sidewalks needs to be rigorously enforced and stopped ASAP. I think many of these accidents and injuries go unreported here, perhaps owing to the lower speeds and exchange of coin?
  16. No local service provider offers SMS forwarding, not sure that's even feasible. SMS is not a guaranteed service. https://pantip.com/topic/34425260 There are some mobile apps which forward SMSes from an active SIM/account/phone to say, another device like a PC. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gawk.smsforwarder Call forwarding is an available service, for as long as you maintain the "host" account. You'll also pay per plan fees for the forwarded calls. For TrueMove H: . Apply press **21*destination number #call to cancel press ##21# call out , call forwarding. In case the line is busy, apply, press **67*destination number. #Call, cancel, press ##67#, call out , divert in case of power off or in the area with no signal, apply, press **62*destination number #call to cancel, press ##62#, call out , call forwarding, if you don't answer, press * *61*destination number# call out cancel press ##61# call out Service charge - Incoming calls will be charged as normal - True Move service users who transfer calls will be charged according to the area. which will be charged according to the package https://pantip.com/topic/33433476 DTAC Call, their WiFI Calling app) does offer the ability to manage up to five numbers on one phone. https://www.dtac.co.th/en/info/dtac-call.html Call out / Answer the phone with all phone numbers you have Receive / Send SMS from all phone numbers you have I think TrueMove H and AIS also offer this option.
  17. It used to be that the clock started ticking when you first used the SIM (SIM2Fly) in a foreign country. (I've used AIS and DTAC travel SIMs). AIS SIm2Fly T's and C's The data roaming package will start counting the validity days when the customer has made a connection in the designated countries. Validity will be calculated on a 24-hour basis starting on the date and time of the first connection as stated in the confirmation SMS. https://www.ais.th/roaming/sim2fly/en/index.html But it sounds like you subscribed to an add-on package (Ready2Fly) to your existing pre-paid? or post-paid AIS SIM using a code ( * 1 1 1 * 4 0 9 # ) ? In this case then yes, clock starts from activation. The package duration begins from the day of activation and ends on the last day of the package, calculated per full day (+24 hours) according to Thai time. Maybe ring them up and ask them to reset this? I think they will do this. (I'm guessing you're postpaid so got the 899++VAT added to your current bill?) And note this requirement: Customers must have international roaming enabled before applying for the Ready2Fly package. Enable IR: *125# SEND Consider enabling WiFi Calling, if you think (after review) it will be useful for you. https://www.ais.th/4g/vowifi/en/
  18. Pattaya had hoped for an injection of cash. Now just a couple of snakes required.
  19. These are cargo-only flights. No self-loading freight (SLF) to get whacked. Many airlines have been doing this for a while...increased revenue, maintain flight crew qualifications, keep landing slots, etc.
  20. The COVID Emergency Decree was just extended for another 60d/2m. This Decree gives the regime all the authority it needs to make extra-legal requirements of citizens and aliens. Were masks ever mentioned, in the original decree, specifically? No. Just that the public was required by law to follow all edicts. But they were said to be mandatory in various "pronouncements". Yes, receipts can be found. Even the pm was said to have paid a 2,000 baht fine for not wearing a mask. And the health minister can be seen to be maskless, while handing out unwrapped masks. Now the regime seems to want to back off masks, which is fine, but wants to do it in a less confrontational, and more confusing way. Perhaps they'll form a committee to study the Mask Withdrawal policies?
  21. I think the issue is finding private insurance companies, still afloat, willing to provide quarantine insurance. The government needs to indemnify tourists up front against asymptomatic and mild COVID cases. Just have facilities bill the government directly. Put that 700 baht, soon to be 1,000 baht, PSC to good use.
  22. I am/was wrong. WIthin the app, there is a section Device Management, where multiple devices can be listed. So I guess the app can be run on multiple registered devices. Just not sure about the SIM thing, obviously you could receive any OTP on the 'original' device. You can use your iBanking (web/online/pc) user ID and password to register the mobile app on a second, and presumably, third, fourth phone. I used the user id and pw option as the other two options would not work for me. But you need the OTP sent to the "old" phone. It works. Now have two devices listed. Interesting names given out for each device. They map IMEI to Device Name, as near as I can determine.
  23. Yes, announced July 23, 2021, but many here may not follow MLB news closely? Effective for the upcoming 2022 season. A Guardian (yes, also "old" news):
