  1. Up on blocks. Great look. Initial inspection showed that the 17 railcars are in good condition and technicians believe they can easily last for another 50 years. https://www.nationthailand.com/blogs/in-focus/40009927
  2. re: Pfizer, the government ordered 20 mm doses, all for delivery in 2021. I think ~ 14 mm have been delivered to date, but I don't follow this very closely. And another 30 mm for 2022, Q1 & Q2.
  3. I'd inquire locally, and/or provide you province here for more focused info. When did you get your second Pfizer? Right now, my best guess is Pfizer 1X or Moderna 1X for a booster to those with Pfizer 2X. So far Pfizer boosters for Pfizer 2X needs clarity. Yes, Pfizer boosters are available for other vaccinations. Given the recent push this may change (daily).
  4. So are they going to send the BMW out to round up all these folks on a faux "overstay"? ???? Didn't anyone at Imm ask any questions about why so many are being rejected?
  5. Buriram is home base for BJT. And of course anutin is BJT and MoPH. BJT ran on fully legalized cannabis. They've never even come close to fulfilling that promise. It's been bait and switch from the get go. Supporters of legal/decrim gave up on this ages ago. Cannabis as most know it, will never be decriminalized or legalized here. Maybe in 25 years, and even then, still a long-shot.
  6. You can create a new Google/GMail account while here in Thailand. After that you will be able to download, install/push the app to your phone. I'd recommend doing this as you'll run into this issue again. You need to enable the installation of apps from unknown sources. Settings, Apps & notifications,Special app access, Install unknown apps. Or just Search, in Settings for "Unknown".
  7. I'd ask the yellow book issuing authority (Department of Disease Control)? Thai Travel Clinic, Urban Institute for Disease Prevention and Control, Bangkok Hours of operation: Monday to Friday (closed on weekends and public holidays),1 pm to 3 pm (**advance booking required**) Appointments can be made at: http://vacn.ddc.moph.go.th/index.php If you have any trouble booking please call 0-2521-1668 or send a message to the Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/iudc.ddc.moph/ Have you requested your Digital International Certificate via Mor Phrom? If not yet, maybe get the booster then apply for that. I'm not certain if previously requested certs will be updated with boosters? I'd like to think they would be, but then remember where I am.
  8. anutin was in Nakhon Phanom over the weekend talking up cannabis, again. https://www.newsdirectory3.com/anutin-kick-off-marijuana-on-the-banks-of-the-mekong-river-nakhon-phanom-province-encouraging-the-era-to-generate-income-for-the-community/ The 0.2% THC cap on hemp crops and derived products (CBD) is pretty standard; I think the limit in the U.S. is 0.3%? Really just protection against some random cross-pollination. Any THC dominant strains are probably tightly controlled and only used for GPO-sanctioned "oil". No clue why they're putting on these stage shows, sucking gullible farmers into some sort of scheme/trap? So for the next twenty-five years or so it will be cannabis leaves for decoration, and hemp-y products (soap, cosmetics). Not sure if the soap is any good, once you get it lit I mean.
  9. https://aseannow.com/topic/1241749-thai-immigration-launches-new-online-90-day-reporting-system/ There've been a handful, five-ish, reports of success with the "newest" web site, https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login introduced ~ 2 December. They've come from a smattering of provinces, maybe one from Bangkok/CW. Maybe ~20-ish who have been Rejected, Seems like it's a work in progress. What office do you report to? I think you'll have to file in person, or send a third-party.
  10. Already recommended: https://www.medconsultasia.com/ Walk-ins accepted. Unless the hospital is operating your aircraft maybe let them stick to what they do best? Antigen test is acceptable. It must be performed (documented negative result) no more than the day before. If you depart BKK on Wednesday at 23:00, you can get the test done on Tuesday (so ~ 47 hours before) anytime after midnight. Tens of thousands since 6 December when this went into effect.
  11. Can you download from here: https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline or here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.section38 or it could be a geoblock thing, so you'll need to sideload the apk (enable unknown sources in Settings) or create a new Google/GMail account while physically present in THL, then add that account to your device, then you should be able to DL it. https://m.apkpure.com/section38/th.go.immigration.section38
  12. Yes, good point. For some reason I keep forgetting this caveat.
  13. 15 minute, 500 baht, antigen test, the day before departure (not 24 hours).
  14. It's only been six and half years. Maybe they're getting close? Seems like they try to patch into an old system, then discover twelve fatal flaws and then give up. Not sure why we all got wet on this "new" system? Oh joy, I was able to "register". Unless the pm orders someone to sort this out - Imm reports to him (as part of the Rtp) - this may never be resolved. Nothing much gets done here unless the headman orders it. Mail or proxy probably remain the most viable/reliable options short of in-person. IMO they should add someone at police stations and district offices to collect/process 90-day reports.
  15. This is known bug with the web interface. Didn't work for me a few months ago. The mobile app. (Section38, which must refer to the Immigration Law covering this aspect of alien residents?) does allow one to create, save, upload a new record. I was able to successfully file within the last few months. https://apps.apple.com/th/app/section38/id1451853492?l=th https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.section38
  16. First up, form a committee to define "Digital Nomad". "Alien must have between one and eleven fingers" Why not just allow them to obtain an STV?
  17. Seems like once you've used an agent... or as Michael said: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPw-3e_pzqU
  18. What is your previous vaccination history?
  19. For a 1,000 - 1,500 baht purchase it hardly seems worth the effort? Just pick an aircard model, and a MiFi model, then research both. Or just buy one now and try it out. You could probably get something couriered today or tomorrow. The bulkier option, a 4G router, doesn't sound like something you need or want. But for some it may be a good solution. You can do better than this. Ring them up and negotiate a better plan, either more GB or less baht. They'll probably do both. Most reps can trim a postpaid plan by 50%.
  20. Yeah, that is "boran". Probably maxes out at 3.9 Mbps with a strong breeze. Up to you. Either should result in a significant performance upgrade. And either (assuming you get a USB WiFi Aircard) will provide WLAN service so no need to plug into a PC/notebook. You can go prepaid, or get one of those unlimited volume/speed capped yearly SIM. It all depends on your usage, applications, budget. Is that prepaid or postpaid? Unlimited speed, but 50 GB volume?
  21. I bought my UM SIM from this eBay seller, April, 2021. I was able to log in to eBay just now to review my orders, which required 2FA SMS, Google Voice and Talkatone are on that account for me. GV worked fine. The SMS was delivered via SCSMS (Short Code) from a six digit "number". The Activate by date on the SIM carrier is May 7, 2022. So the shelf-life was closer to 1 year. I can't recall the exact steps we took - I had it mailed to my son, and we activated it together, remotely in real-time. He received a link via SMS which he forwarded to me via email, I then completed the process. Then he mailed the SIM to me here. Both the UM app and web dashboard are great. I enabled WiFi Talk and Text from the Web dashboard. It works amazingly well. SMSes get delivered in seconds. My old T-Mo SIM takes ~ 5 minutes to get up and roaming here, and sometimes it needs to be primed with a call and text. I think you activate a UM SIM with just a mobile, or via the web. https://my.ultramobile.com/paygo/activation/ The only thing we screwed up was the number selection, which we may have overlooked. Not that locale is all that important these days. I think you can text or enter a zip code and get a choice of numbers? For the $3 month all in (state sales tax gets added when you top up) you get 100 min, 100 SMS and 100 mB, You can use this SIM on trips back home. Not perfect, but you can add data and voice packs. 1 day (24 hours) 500MB $5 7 days 1GB $10 Voice 1 day (24 hours) Unlimited $2 7 days Unlimited $10 Regarding a port in... Can I keep my phone number with my PayGo plan? June 25, 2020 Yes, you can transfer your phone number when activating at paygo.ultra.me/activate. You will need your account number, passcode and billing address from your current carrier. https://www.ultramobile.com/ufaqs/can-i-keep-my-phone-number-2/
