Well, the family of the student that was in that recent fire extinguisher incident received less than $7k USD for his death so I think the loss of a leg would get you around $1k USD.

    ....sad.....sad.....sad

A family's financial compensation for the loss of a loved one is a lot lot less than the compensation to an individual surviving a major accident. In the case that you mention, if the student had survived but, for example, blinded the compensation would have been $100m plus. This, particular case, in America, would entail $20m + compensation.

    Shocking !

Why wasn't his belt taken from him ?

    Why wasn't he watched ?

    Neglect of care !

Why wasn't he given the care and attention

I hope the family Sue over this

It's the same with Bali,  Aussie kids head there on their end of  school vacations to party and most times are neglected by the authorities who are supposed to take care of them

Thailand was his destination for a holiday, not an open mental health hospital. Maybe his family should have accompanied him if he had mental issues.

Blaming the neighbors is tantamount to saying nothing can be done, no improvements can be made, and the administration has no responsibility to address anything, anytime, anywhere. It is sheer, and stunning stupidity. A hundred things could be done to clean up the air. And what about the rest of the nation, the contributing factor of sugar burning, foul diesel soot, etc?

Can you please tell us how to clean up the air in Chang Mai. I would like to know and I promise to send on your recommendations.
BTW this discussion is about the air quality in Chang Mai!
