  1. This way, you can go on living in your own error-ridden world. Another example of the law of the conservation of ignorance.
  2. You're the one who wrongly questioned the theory of evolution and then claimed I "didn't know what evolution theory was. Hoist by your own petard, much?
  3. What Christian values was I attacking? And I think you need to repeat first grade.
  4. Who doesn't know the scientific argument? Here's your question again: "Do you have proof of evolution? Who created the sea animals?" You clearly didn't understand the article you linked to. Here's a quote from it: "It wasn't until a billion years later that the first life was brought forth, filling the atmosphere with oxygen." Animals don't create oxygen. Actually, the earliest sea life in the fossil record is cyanobacteria. "The oldest known fossils, in fact, are cyanobacteria from Archaean rocks of western Australia, dated 3.5 billion years old." https://ucmp.berkeley.edu/bacteria/cyanofr.html#:~:text=The oldest known fossils%2C in,dated 3.5 billion years old. And what does this have to do with human evolution? Or, for that matter any evolution subsequent to the record offered by the earliest fossils?
  5. You're "Pretty sure Biden lies all the time."? Now there's a shocker! All groups have loosened their standards on the relevance of personal morality to performance in office. But White Evangelicals have shifted the most. From having the least tolerance to having the most. Has Trump caused white Evangelicals to change their tune on morality? In 2011, only 30 percent believed that personal immorality was consistent with an ethical performance of official duties. Today, 72 percent of white evangelicals—up an astounding 42 points–believe that the two can go together... As recently as 2011, white evangelicals were the least likely of any religious group (including unaffiliated Americans) to say that personal immorality was compatible with an ethical political life. https://www.brookings.edu/articles/has-trump-caused-white-evangelicals-to-change-their-tune-on-morality/
  6. Can anybody here explain what Dolf thinks he's getting at by citing sea animals? I don't expect much of one from him.
  7. I get it. Fossils were created by God to fool humans into believing in evolution. It's a test of faith.
  8. Not surprising that that Evangelical Christians, who overwhelmingly believe that humans are not the product of evolution, but were created by God in the Garden of Eden, also believe in Trump.
  9. Unlike this Marxist: Luke 18:24-25 King James Version (KJV) And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. https://www.bible.com/bible/compare/LUK.18.24-25
  10. Bobolinski previously claimed that he had incriminating evidence against Biden stored on his mobile phones. Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal and Fox News meticulously examined the contents of those phones and found nothing.
  11. "Common knowledge" is just another lazy all-purpose expression like "everybody knows that". It has zero corroborating value.
  12. After leaving office Trump actually read out loud to a journalist and others from a document he acknowledged was still classified.
  13. "The remaining OBGYNs will adapt and quality medical treatment will prevail." Because they were underworked and had plenty of time to spare?
  14. Apparently, most Republicans are too. Republicans start to back off controversial Alabama IVF ruling Washington (AFP) – A wave of Republicans led by Donald Trump vowed Friday to protect in vitro fertilization in the wake of an Alabama court ruling that said frozen embryos should be considered children, in what could become a galvanizing issue in the 2024 election. https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240223-republicans-start-to-back-off-controversial-alabama-ivf-ruling
  15. It's early days and already 22% of obgyns have left the state. And what makes that worse is that Idaho is one of the fastest growing states in the US. Idaho was second-fastest growing state in the U.S. in 2022 https://idahocapitalsun.com/2023/01/04/idaho-was-second-fastest-growing-state-in-the-u-s-in-2022/ And did you notice this? The boldface is mine: Idaho's restrictive abortion laws are fueling an exodus of OB/GYNs, with more than half of those who specialize in high-risk pregnancies expected to leave the state by the end of the year.
  16. The state of Idaho is in the beginning stages of a grand exodus. Doctors – specifically, those who care for pregnant women and perform abortions – are fleeing the state due to new abortion restrictions. Doctors like Lauren Miller, who has been treating women and performing abortions in Boise for the last five years. Her greatest fear? “Being tried as a felon simply for saving someone’s life,” she told CNN. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/05/13/us/idaho-abortion-doctors-drain/index.html Idaho's restrictive abortion laws are fueling an exodus of OB/GYNs, with more than half of those who specialize in high-risk pregnancies expected to leave the state by the end of the year. Doctors CBS News spoke with said treating non-viable pregnancies, in which the fetus is not expected to survive, puts them and their patients in what they call an impossible position. Dr. Anne Feighner, an OB/GYN in Boise, said she felt sad and frustrated upon hearing what one of her patients went through: delivering a baby in a hotel bathroom after traveling out of state for an abortion. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/idaho-near-total-abortion-ban-driving-doctors-out-of-the-state/
  17. I don't know. Sometimes, when I contemplate the quality of this posting from thaibeachlovers, I'm halfway moved to agree.

  19. It should be noted that this woman, Elena Baturina, whom the Republicans and fellow travelers called a Russian oligarch, is actually an ex-Russian oligarch and has been living in exile in the UK for about 14 years because she's in conflict with the Russian government.
  20. Another right-wing mind reader. Either that or because you've got nothing substantive to reply with, you make it personal instead.

  22. If you want to believe your rights come from God, that's fine. It's give those rights legal preference over the rights enumerated in the Constitution and various amendments that's the problem. The fathers of the Constitution saw how religion was abused in Europe by governments and the misery that ensued from that abuse. They understood that no humans can prove that they know which rights come from God and which ones don't. For this reason, there is no mention of God in the body of the Constitution. Not one mention. That is the founding document of the United States of America. Not the Declaration of Independence. That was simply a statement from citizens of the 13 colonies which made the case for those colonies to break away from the British empire. It has zero legal force or relevance. Christian nationalists claim falsely that the Constitution was derived from Judeo-Christian principles. They claim that, because of that derivation, nothing in the Constitution can violate those principles. So, when there appears to be a violation, that's an error and should be decided on the basis of those alleged Judeo-principles. Of course, these same Christian nationalists claim to have a definitive and incontrovertible understanding of what those principles are. According to them, anyone who disagrees with them is in error. The founding fathers would be horrified by such claims. Just recently we saw where this kind of lunacy can lead to in the opinion of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama. Bible-quoting Alabama chief justice sparks church-state debate in embryo ruling "When the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos are considered children under state law, its chief justice had a higher authority in mind. By citing verses from the Bible and Christian theologians in his concurring opinion, Chief Justice Tom Parker alarmed advocates for church-state separation, while delighting religious conservatives who oppose abortion. Human life, Parker wrote, “cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the wrath of a holy God, who views the destruction of His image as an affront to Himself.” https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/bible-quoting-alabama-chief-justice-sparks-church-state-debate-in-embryo-ruling
  23. Really? "President Donald Trump ordered a rapid withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Somalia in the wake of his 2020 election loss, but senior officials never followed through on the plan, according to testimony released by the congressional January 6 committee on Thursday. “The order was for an immediate withdrawal, and it would have been catastrophic,” said Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., one of two Republican members of the special panel. “And yet President Trump signed the order.” https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2022/10/13/trump-ordered-rapid-withdrawal-from-afghanistan-after-election-loss/#:~:text=President Donald Trump ordered a,January 6 committee on Thursday. And despite the fact that the Taliban repeatedly violated the agreement, that didn't move Trump to delay the pullout. Top US Commander Doubts Afghan Taliban Commitment to Peace The United States is not ready to abandon its agreement with the Taliban in Afghanistan, but the general in charge of U.S. forces in the region says there are signs the deal ultimately may be doomed. U.S. Central Command’s General Kenneth McKenzie said Thursday that despite a pledge to reduce violence, the frequency of Taliban attacks across Afghanistan remained troubling. "I would not consider what the Taliban is doing as consistent with any path to going forward to come to a final end state agreement with the current government of Afghanistan,” McKenzie told U.S. lawmakers. https://www.voanews.com/a/south-central-asia_top-us-commander-doubts-afghan-taliban-commitment-peace/6185719.html
  24. Not that it's relevant, except maybe to anti-Semites, but I haven't found any evidence that such is the case. There is an extensive interview here which goes into his family background. https://adst.org/OH TOCs/Crocker, Chester Arthur.toc.pdf It does make it seem unlikely that he's Jewish but doesn't definitively rule it out. Care to share with us the source of your claim? EDIT: This from the article linked to almost definitively rules out that Crocker is Jewish: "My father, more than my mother, went to church on Sundays and made allusions, Biblical allusions and references were not uncommon in things that he would say, although they were very uncommon in things I might say."
  25. Idaho has been losing practicing obstetricians since its abortion ban took effect in August 2022, according to a new report by the Idaho Physician Well-Being Action Collaborative (IPWAC). The report showed that 22% of the practicing obstetricians in Idaho stopped practicing or left the state during a 15-month period from August 2022 to November 2023. In total, the number of obstetricians practicing in the state -- with a population of approximately 960,000 women -- dropped from 268 to 210 during that period. The report also noted that two hospital obstetric programs closed during this period, while two other programs are struggling to remain open due to problems recruiting obstetricians, including one that is expected to close on April 1. https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/features/108885
