I am afraid that AI will cause catastrophic accidents. Even if you assume that exceptionally smart people oversee the entire playing field and future developments, once AI surpasses human intellect, we enter areas that the human brain simply could not foresee. Additionally, there will be madmen/countries that develop their own models for destructive purposes.

I’m more in favor of the competition model than of a price-inflating monopoly. And that’s only because the traditional taxi services have completely misbehaved, lost a lot of customers as a result, and caused significant damage to the tourism sector.
So what it comes down to is that when you behave badly, you still end up being protected or even rewarded.

I once read a quote that went something like this: Most Thai people are friendly and calm. But as soon as they get into a car or onto a motorcycle, they turn into kamikaze pilots.

suggests that there is a high likelihood..............but no solid proof. I myself have not taken the vaccine and strongly believe it has been a mess. However, there is no conclusive evidence for either side.

A discussion that could go on forever. Can it be proven that the vaccines are deadly…? So far, no. But the events caused by the vaccines do raise doubts, to say the least. I can understand well that people who took the vaccine don’t want to hear anything else. Still, there are more people who regret getting vaccinated than those who didn’t take it. The mistrust toward Big Pharma also comes from somewhere. I believe that neither side can truly prove they’re right, but the aversion to vaccines has increased enormously — and for a reason.

Brakes my .......... The easiest excuse to cover up your own Tarzan behavior. These guys drive like maniacs and are a serious danger on the road. Add some alcohol or other drugs into the mix, and the few brain cells that might still be working are out too. Imagine your child being in that pickup truck.

You should never trust a politician, but you should use Mark Rutte as a contrarian indicator. Over the past 12 years, he has lied about everything in the Netherlands. I don't think he has changed in the meantime.

What if I, blatantly breaking the law, get up to no good with a cheeky barmaid—while that drone hovers in front of the bar, filming everything (totally for other reasons, of course)? Just the thought has me popping two blue pills like it’s happy hour!

What are they supposed to do after starting peeing, agree, tie a knot in it to stem the flow and walk to a public bathroom to resume? Stupid security guard.
Well, this is what I call a really stupid reaction. First of all, they shouldn’t be peeing there in the first place. It’s their problem, don’t make it someone else’s problem. Second, if someone says something about it, accept it and walk away. But you don’t completely lose it over something like that.

Regardless of whether or not you're a Trump supporter, it's a good thing when firm action is taken. Demonstrations are fine and should always be allowed. However, when people think they have the right to destroy things in the process, that must be firmly suppressed.

No matter who you put on which committee, a large part of the population has lost trust — and it’s probably not coming back.

It is kind of cute that young people always think they can change the rules of the game. Wisdom comes with time.

Oh please, stop spreading fear. What complete nonsense this all is. Yet another way to distract attention, create camps to pit against each other, and a perfect excuse to pour billions in borrowed money into the war machine, which has very negative effects on the environment. But in this case, the so-called world-threatening CO2 issue doesn't even exist.

I always wonder why people have such a hard time putting things into perspective. A bit of disagreement is no reason to send someone to the hospital or the oven. Don’t take everything so seriously, and allow others to make a "mistake" too. Get over it and enjoy life.

Have you noticed how he never attacks Muslims from Indonesia in Holland? Morrocans? Yes. Arabs? Yes. Never Indonesians.
Because the Indonesians integrated well, worked hard, showed little to no aggression, and made a positive contribution to the Dutch economy.

but atm i think the sentiment is moving more to the center.
And I think you're right about that. But in the end, it doesn't really matter all that much. The fate of the European countries lies in the hands of Brussels, and looking back, that hasn't exactly been the best thing that could have happened to the Europeans. The effectiveness of a local government is minimal, and the irreparable damage has already been done.

Thailand’s Losing Its Edge — Is Vietnam the Next Real Deal?
in General Topics

I largely agree with you. In particular, the incredibly poor customer service is a major irritation for me. The question, however, is: what is causing this change in behavior? Is it the arrival of pumped-up muscleheads from the West who need to act out their inferiority complexes on a daily basis and don’t know how to behave? Is it the TAT that first targeted the Chinese and now the Indians and Arabs? Or have the Thais been spoiled by the easy money of recent years? What I do know is that Thailand needs to get its act together quickly, or it will be left with nothing but bottom-tier tourism.
