does thai familes use nursing home?
outsidetrader replied to villageidiotY2K's topic in General Topics
Yes,there, are and there are/were a few in Chiang Rai province that provide the care for foeighners. The packages are very reasonable and average price was around bht60000 per month with a Nurse by your side and with lots of amenities such as,swimming pools ,gyms, nature walks and Beutifal surroundings . Unfortunately I can't give the name of the one I've visited as it was closed down due to the Air Pollution :( There are quite a lot around the country and they are in Pattaya area too . Packages,to suit all pockets .Just Google and they will show up .. -

Thailand Faces Severe Air Pollution Crisis as PM2.5 Levels Soar
outsidetrader replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There should be a health warning when visiting Thailand as thats the only thing they would have to wake up too if they lost their precious tourist £$€. Also slows, down any foreighn investments here too. All they care is about their golf courses between the big 2 power leaders at the moment .They care SWA about being with toxic air ;( -

Correct but then you will weaken the baht and bring a far better exchange rate like in the old days ;) No choice to keep the GDP in line ,) -

Is moving to Cambodia really the end of the line?
outsidetrader replied to Elvis Presley's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Cambodia is a great place to live regardless .The Cambodian smile is genuine and they are very caring people . Thailand of course is bigger and has more options. I live between both . -

Because as a foreighner without a WP you need to get a letter from immigration to buy and sell a,vehicle and that expires after 1 month . Need to sighn the book also. This is very common -

Indeed it is normal to add 3 % as thats what the bank charges the merchants .Foreighn CCs are the highest with Amex being even higher .So this is normal procedure in Thailand .

Plus the fact the insureance we pay for is to mop up the mess otherwise it's pointless having it in the first place ..The Porshe no doubt will be fully insured plus the government insureance will have large figures on the polices in case of accident ....The Insurears are the ones the injured parties should be dealing with . Ok.the driver may have been over the limit but that's a different case if the police want to push it ...what ever it is still an accident and it's the insureance company's job to sort out the compensation etc etc

Thailand’s stock market sees a ‘baht’ of foreign interest
outsidetrader replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Think you are a bit naive and really don't get the bigger picture .Without these mega foreighn funds holding massive holdings , they can dictate and help put pressure on unwanted government's ( not just Thailand) They indeed determine where your baht is heading on the exchange rate .Remember ...they can dump the shares and do so at anytime and right now they will be simply reloading and be net sellers again , which will favour the exchange £€$ when they reverse . Without the Foreighn funds this country would be in a bigger mess . They are here to make profits whatever it takes and after a buying spree ( only just started again yesterday for this month ) then they of course sell and in turn brings the exchange rate more user friendly too ..Do some homework as this is how it works ...... Hence the force of the BOT trying to keep a stable bht by buying stocks heavily too and now the interest rate cut ..... -
