  1. Thanks for this reply - good to know they appear to be aware of the issues with ThailandPlus. I'm happy to download whatever apps they require to be installed - fells like it is just a case of doing whatever they need, depending on who you are dealing with. There is no set / consistent approach or answer to this. I've taken a mental note of the force close for future. I'm using ASQ rather than 'sandbox' - I'll just have it working and charged up for the 14 days whilst in the hotel room to keep things simple. I've just seen the update re shorter quarantines being proposed again for go-live in October. Hopefully these are approved and will apply to my ASQ period which starts near the end of October. 7 days ASQ instead of 14 will be great.
  2. Thanks for this info. Good to know the issue isn't being faced by just me! I have the app installed on my phone - I just hope they dont ask me to open it.... I've managed to get it installed & working on my iPad. This, however, won't have network access at all times and I'm not carrying this about when outside! Hopefully, having the app on my front screen page of my phone &/or the ipad working will be sufficient to get me through whatever checks I face. I'll continue to check the app on my phone and see if whatever bugs / upgrades are added to the current version to fix the issues being faced.
  3. I think Mor Chana app is specific to the 'sandbox' schemes - I'm doing ASQ in Bangkok so, as far as I'm aware, the correct App for me is the ThailandPlus. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Thanks for replying.
  4. I've just read the reviews on the Play Store for this App. All of the Reviews from the last week are flagging the same issue. Hopefully the 1 Star reviews will prompt someone to apply a fix asap. I wonder how arrivals in the last week have gotten around this issue. I don't travel for 4 weeks so will continue to monitor the position. Anyone with first hand experience / insight would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi all - anyone facing issues with the ThailandPlus app? I've been able to install the App and prompted to Register when I completed the initial downlaod and opened the App for the first time. At that time, I didn't have the CoE full approval so was unable to complete the Registration. When the CoE was approved, I tried to open the App to Register but it opens / closes within a few seconds. I've tried Uninstall / Install but same issue. Also tried Google searches to see if this is a known issue / any tips on how to resolve but struggling to find a solution. My mobile is a Samsung if that makes a difference. Any assistance / guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. CB
  6. Hi all - not sure if this is the correct forum for this query but hopefully you can assist / point me in the right direction. I'm travelling to Thailand completing ASQ in Bangkok during October. Visa, CoE, ASQ, Insurance etc all sorted. Final piece is sorting the Rt-PCR test for the Fit To Fly Certificate. My flight is with Emirates - Glasgow to Dubai & then Dubai to Bangkok. My Glasgow to Dubai flight is on a Thursday at 1435. Therefore, ensuring I'm within the 72 hours I've booked a PCR test for the Monday afternoon at 1530 (so 71 hours prior to my Outbound flight). The clinic will provide the test results guaranteed the following day. My connecting flight Dubai to Bangkok is 0250 on the Friday. I will be in Dubai airport for just a few hours prior to departure on the connecting flight. My panic after booking the PCR test is, does the 'within 72 hours' actually apply for the Dubai to Bangkok flight time? If so, my Monday afternoon test will be c. 84 hours prior to departure. If so, I would need to change the PCR test to the Tuesday morning and get the test results / paperwork for printing on the Wednesday which is the day before my Outbound flight. I've tried the Emirate Q&As but cannot find anything which clarifies. I would normally get both the Glasgow & Dubia flight tickets when I check-in for both flights at the Glasgow Emirate desk so assumed it would be based on the first flight. Perhaps wrongly! I don't want to fall at this final hurdle so any assistance / advice would be appreciated. Hopefully I'm over-thinking this...... Thanks CB
  7. Or £10 cash and they sort it for you. I found this out the hard way! The E-visa site / website needs to be simplified.
  8. I definitely think it is a positive. Compare c. 700k (1%) Ave per day with other countries. You will find that the peak for US (c. 3 Million per day 1%) & UK (650k 1% of pop.) was achieved for a short period. Thailand have been hitting these daily Ave figures for 2 weeks & plan is to increase this to c. 770k (24 million doses in October). Appreciate they had a slow start however the current rates and plans for next month are impressive and by the end of October, you should be looking at 1st Dose 65% & 2nd Dose 45% depending on appetite / take-up. The next 6-7 weeks are crucial.
  9. It's nearer 18% and rising at a steady rate. Last 2 weeks Daily Ave of c. 700k per day is quite impressive but if you want to find negatives I'm sure you can, and by the sounds of it, always will.
  10. This. I have an internal flight following ASQ in 8 weeks time. I won't have the digital health pass unless it is able to recognise Scottish NHS vaccine status QR code / letters. I'll leave off booking the flight and continue to monitor the position. Plan B would be a 10 hour drive which is painful.
