PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Update: Nothing from North America would work for my transaction. All debit (3) and credit cards (4) from the USA & Canada resulted in an error code. My Thai bank debit card resulted in an error code. I tried on 2 laptops (wifi) with different browsers as well as an android smartphone using data. No luck. The only thing that ended up working was installing a mobile app from my Thai bank on android and paying directly through a QR code. Oh la la -
PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards

Hmm, am I the only one who can't process payment on the PSAS website? If anyone has a telephone number for them please share. -
PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I've tried multiple cards, all foreign. I'm trying to find out if I can just transfer money to them from my Bangkok Bank account but they don't give a telephone number and haven't received a reply from their email address. Title of discussion is incorrect. It should say PSAS (Phuket Swab Appointment System), not PSSA -

PSAS Refuses All Credit Cards
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's for the Phuket Sandbox program. You have to pay online through the PSAS website for the 2 Covid tests before you can get the hotel certificate and then apply for Thailand Pass. -
Hi, Trying to pay for the Phuket Sandbox COVID tests and all credit cards denied. Anyone have the same issue? Thanks

Phuket Testing incorrect charge for 2nd test
Jaymatheson replied to bear9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Unfortunately my initial understanding was the same as Alldar's. After Test & Go applications were frozen, those that already received their Pass and were scheduled to travel after Dec. 22 would be grandfathered in and not have to pay for the 2nd PCR test. Those that would be applying in the future for a Pass after Dec. 22 would be vulnerable. -
Sorry Joe. Just to clarify. You can submit an application for the Test & Go but it won't be looked at until at least after January 4 when the government reviews the situation?

Is that a slight error or is the Test & Go an option?

Phuket Sandbox Hotel Certificate
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks Richard. So you have to book the PCR test yourself on PSAS. Do you book it before applying for Thailand Pass? Does the test have to be taken immediately after arriving at Phuket airport? -
To apply for Test & Go through Thailand Pass you needed a hotel certificate on one page that stated the reservation included airport transfer and PCR test. Now that I'm looking into Phuket Sandbox accommodation it seems that a lot of the hotels don't include transportation and test in the package. Is this normal? Will it be accepted by Thai Pass?

Thailand Pass 72 hour Leniency
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But it's still technically possible with the current news to apply for a new Thailand Pass through Phuket Sandbox? -
Thailand Pass 72 hour Leniency
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks Joe. I was given a Thai Pass for Test & Go but had to cancel the original flight while waiting for a visa.... hence the search into the 72 hour period. The better option now might be to cancel the idea of trying to get into Thailand with my original Pass and apply for a new one using the Phuket Sandbox method. I believe that's still an option, correct? -
Thailand Pass 72 hour Leniency

From mfa.go.th: 6. Can I change my travel date once I have registered and received my QR code? - No. If you would like to change your travel date or other details, you will need to re-register on the Thailand Pass system. So how exactly does the 72 hours work? For example, if you were initially supposed to fly into Thailand on Jan. 1st at 1pm, you would be permitted to enter any day / anytime before 11:59 pm on Jan. 4th? -
Hi, Embassy slower than expected to process STV so can't follow original plan. Flights and Test & Go hotel date will have to be changed. Insurance policy will either be switched to a yet to be determined date or cancelled and changed to a totally new policy if Embassy decides to only give me a SETV. Do I need to apply for a new Thailand Pass or will the one I have let me into the country no matter what info (dates, flight number, insurance, hotel booking) has changed from the original application?
-
I might be missing something, but are you saying people can apply for a STV at the Thai Embassy in Cambodia? They've been notoriously difficult for even a single entry tourist visa for a decade for those with even a slight history of Thai visa experience. I'd be highly interested and skeptical at the same time.

Not my experience. Had all docs required including covid certification with QR code. Still waiting for approval 6 days later. I get it, some people are approved immediately.... but many end up with a headache. I use Yahoo Mail. Is there a chance that my brand of email address is the problem? My local Embassy doesn't respond to emails, doesn't answer the phone, and their voice mail is full. It's all starting to give me a twisted chuckle.

How to apply for STV on e-visa website
Jaymatheson replied to bbOh's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
bboh, i feel your pain. Trying to figure out how to locate the STV on the e-website is just the start of the headaches. Different countries seem to offer different types of visas. For example, some can apply for METV while others can't. I assume Germans can find the STV on one of the drop down boxes on the first page. I forget the details but you have to choose the option that says something like this: "staying less than 90 days". That's where you access the STV; or at least that's how I did it. Good luck. Hopefully you don't intend to be in Thailand relatively soon like I do. -
Thailand Pass Proof of Vaccination
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks. My experience is exactly like Kannika's. I upload the full certificate that includes the QR code in field #1. Then i try to upload the cropped image of the QR in field #2 -- but the upload is denied. Tried the same process for the second vaccination and denied. Maybe you can only upload one image in the 2 separate fields? That doesn't seem logical but maybe. -
Thailand Pass Proof of Vaccination
Jaymatheson replied to Jaymatheson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks. Pass doesn't accept uploading of my cropped QR code; only the full certificate. No idea why. If anyone has a similar experience, please fill me in. -
I'm from Canada. The Proof of Vaccination is a single page with personal info, a QR code and details/dates for the 2 doses i received. Q1. Thailand Pass asks to upload separate jpg files for each dose. Do I just upload the same file twice or should i consider uploading the older certificates issued directly by my province and doesn't include a QR code? Q2. Pass recommends uploading a cropped image of the QR code to speed the process. When I try to upload the jpg QR code it isn't accepted. Anyone else have the same issue? Possible reasons / solution? Thank you

Should insurance start the day of departure from home country or arrival day in Thailand? If it begins on departure from home country, and you have a 90 day insurance policy, wouldn't that put you short of insurance for the entire permission of stay stamped by immigration (STV)?
