I have a Bangkok Bank account also. Many comments here are a little misleading. You don't need to authenticate your login details with a local SIM card. You just need a local SIM card to install the bank app. And you also need to get a passcode from a Bangkok Bank ATM to install the app. So roaming won't help you unless you also have access to a Bangkok Bank ATM from abroad. I know that other banks are different. After the app is installed it doesn't matter which SIM card you have on your phone. You wont have to authenticate it via SMS again. To relate a personal experience, I was in Bali for a few months last year and used my Bangkok Bank account to pay bills and transfer money numerous times. It was never necessary to receive SMS messages. I didn't have a roaming package and replaced my Thai SIM card with an Indonesian SIM on my phone. Never a problem. The catch is that the app was installed while I was in Thailand with access to a local ATM and SIM. I hope this helps.

90 Days Report / New Address
Robbkk replied to Robbkk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Is the TM6 still in use? I didn't get one when I reentered in January. -
90 Days Report / New Address
Robbkk replied to Robbkk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When I changed condos, the real estate agent filed it online and sent me a screenshot. I reentered Thailand on January 2, so now I guess the 90 days report deadline was moved to April. Should I just file it online or do I need to do more? -

How long does it take to hear back from them if you send it by mail? -
90 Days Report / New Address
Robbkk replied to Robbkk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for clarifying. Do you know if the deadline for the 90 days report changes when you file the TM30? The deadline for my 90 days report is next week but I changed condos and filed the TM30 weeks ago. I also left and reentered the country in December. Not sure if the deadline for the 90 days report is now different. -
90 Days Report / New Address
Robbkk replied to Robbkk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The TM30 for the new address was already filed by the agent. And yes, I am in Thailand on annual extensions. I just did the 90 Days report online with the new address. Let's see what happens. I remember years ago having to do something else involving the copy of my rental contract (TM28?) but maybe that's not needed anymore. -
Does anyone know what steps need to be taken to file the 90 days report when there is a change of address? Should I just file the report with the new address? I remember having to submit a copy of my rental contract at Muang Tani years ago. Thanks in advance.

Top Thai virologist says 2023 is game over for COVID-19
Robbkk replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The virus is the same. But all the vulnerable people are already dead. Great job doctor. Now maybe you can admit that if nothing had been done the result would be the same. -
He should have stopped. But the pedestrian jumped in front of the bike clearly without looking.

Cabinet approves tourist fee of 150-300 baht for all foreign tourists
Robbkk replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Nah, the tax will be collected by immigration upon arrival which will double the waiting time for everybody as many tourists dont have local currency, etc -

What is tourism development lol A good start would be abolishing the tax. -
This is not much lol. Thousands visit Koh Tao every week. In Pattaya, in one week alone, 3 foreigners have died falling from buildings: https://thethaiger.com/news/pattaya/third-foreigner-this-week-dies-from-building-fall-in-pattaya But nobody refers to Pattaya as a deathtrap for foreigners. I wonder why.

In over 20 years lol. Very low mortality rate actually. There seems to be an organized campaign to discredit Koh Tao. Man dies in his sleep and news outlets start spinning off conspiracy theories. When somebody is murdered there are obvious signs such as bullet holes or bruises. It's not something that can be hidden from the man's family or whoever claims the body.

Beware, Thai police checkpoint on-the-spot fines jumped to 1000 baht
Robbkk replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Was curious about the reasons for this. Many shops will not rent out a bike without keeping a passport as a deposit. -
You don't need OTP to make transfers. You only need it once when you install the app on your phone. Just returned from a trip abroad where I used my Thai banking apps to pay rent, bills etc. No OTP, no roaming and no issues. I have no idea why so many people are posting about sms, roaming etc. You don't need it.

90 days reporting online?
Robbkk replied to Lim Yuan Hai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes, I'll follow it up more closely next time. This time I assumed it would get approved and only noticed it was rejected one day past the due date. -
90 days reporting online?
Robbkk replied to Lim Yuan Hai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For what it's worth, I submitted my report two weeks before the due date and it got rejected. The info submitted was exactly the same as the previous 2 reports which were approved. Had to go to immigration to do it in person and found many people there with the same problem. After waiting 2 hours, they called my number and the agent rejected my report because the color of the pen I used was not blue (not kidding) and I had to file it again. After a whole afternoon wasted I finally got the report done but still don't understand the point of the whole thing. If they just want to know if my address has changed there's got to be an easier way. ???? -
Application for the Re-Entry Permit
Robbkk replied to Robbkk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That's what I'm thinking. Is the Re-Entry permit a stamp or a piece of paper they staple to the passport? -
Application for the Re-Entry Permit
Robbkk posted a topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I noticed that the form for the Re-Entry Permit asks for the departure and return dates. I'm wondering if these dates are enforced or can be changed later. I'm planning to leave on a one-way flight and the return date is not yet clear. I can make a best guess to fill out the form but what happens if I return on a different date? -
I submitted the same info twice before and it was always approved. This time I only followed up on the due date but I still have a 7 day grace period to file it in person. I agree. The info I submitted didn't change. The only change is that I submitted less than 14 days before the due date. Please let us know if it was approved. I believe 10 days before may be too late.

Re-ENTRY permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport
Robbkk replied to zenplay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Where did you get the form in advance? I was thinking about getting it in advance to avoid the risk of being late for my flight. Do they require copies of the passport also or they make the copies themselves? -
Thanks. Do you know their working hours?

The 90 days report that I submitted online just got rejected even though it's the same report that was approved the last 2 times. No reasons provided. The due date is today and I applied on November 9th. Does anybody know where I can do the 90 days report in person? According to Google maps the Center at Muang Thong Tani is closed. So I'm not sure where to go.
