Standing at the top is China, with 5 million workers, followed by India (3 million), the US (1 million), the Philippines (800,000), Mexico (500,000), Germany (400,000), Brazil (250,000), Thailand (250,000), Bangladesh (200,000), and South Korea (147,000).
Only meaningful if the numbers are based on a standard criteria like population size.

Like asking how long is a piece of string, depends on current income, allowances and deductions, how much is to be received (is it a Gift or salary from abroad) to name but a few of the items that will effect the treatment.

It will expire by 10 may,but my Visarun by land (Savannakhet) is on 13 may
How i solve this problem
Must i go Wattana?
Can i "overstay" for 3 days and pay a fine with NO consequences
Please suggestionsChange the date of your trip to Savannakhet, so that it's before 10 May.
Overstay with no consequences - basically it doesn't happen anymore.

So a set of conversations/selections relating to a funds transfer could become
UK Bank - Why are you sending the money to WISE
Me - For them to send to Thailand for my annual VISA extension
WISE - Select reason for forwarding the money
Me - For my annual VISA extension (I forget actual title of selection)
Thai Bank (2 working days later) - Why have you remitted the money to us
Me - For my annual VISA extension
Thai Bank (2 working days later) - Dear Bank of Thailand, our customer XYZ has remitted money to us from abroad, he says it's for his annual VISA extension, can we pay him, he is registered for tax purposes.
BoT (2 working days later) - OK
Thai Bank (2 working days later) - We have now credited your account
Me (After starting the process 2 weeks before) - Hoo FN Ray
It's nearly there now.

perfectly true, I objected to the wife but was told that's how it's done in Thailand, in a tone that said mind your own business.

Huh, that´s nothing. My nail is much stiffer than yours! The builders that installed the wooden shutters into the window frames in my kitchen extension, along with hinges, handles, locking bolts, etc. used a hammer to insert the screws, what a bugger to unscrew if you need to replace a shutter.
Maybe they found a screwdriver and were discussing what it was used for.

Thailand's former Deputy PM and Sports Authority of Thailand Chairman, General Prawit Wongsuwon, has faced scrutiny following the exposure of his vast wealth and assets, including a collection of luxury cars worth 87 million Baht, by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
The 78-year-old chief of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) declared in the triennial financial report- required by his position- that he was single and possessed total assets worth 87.84 million Baht, with a minor debt of 757 Baht.
Hope he remembered to include his watch collection this time.

You are not allowed to carry passengers in the back of a pick-up truck.
You're telling me, I was fined many years ago by the Highway Police for doing so, made to overload the cabin by squeezing everybody inside. While they were checking my driving license, my wife pointed out a number of Thai's driving past with people in the back, the response was "We don't see them", presumably no money to be made by stopping them, witnessed by the fact that no receipt was given for fine payment.

The Personal Allowance is 12,570 GBP, and if you have to pay tax after an increase it will only be on the amount over 12,570 GBP and at a rate of 20%.
E.G. if pensions totaled 13,000 GBP the calculation would be.
13,000 less 12,570 equals 430 taxable
430 by 20% equals 86 GBP tax
so would still be 344 GBP better off, to say they would be worse off is totally incorrect, they would not be as well off as they might have been.
Don't get me wrong, as a pensioner myself, I am not condoning the taxation of pensions (either state or private, by either UK or Thailand) my personal opinion is that pensions of any category should be tax free.

I only have income in the UK (paid into an offshore bank and transferred from there) plus Thai bank interest, which is subject to Thai tax withholding.
They consists of State Pension, Private Pension and an annuity from an old Company pension.
I do not intend to take over any monies that could make me liable for significant Thai tax annually, leaving the remainer to be handled under inheritance rules, but will still need to submit details.
Can you please advise which declaration form I should use PN90 or PN91, I'm confused on this matter.

Why don't they issue us with ankle tracker devices, that way they would know where we are all the time, doing away with the need for TM30 and TM47 (90 day) reports.

Yes, same issue. 3bb reckon it will take at least one month to fix.
Using an NT (CAT as was) internet connection in Phetchabun, I have no end of trouble watching UK/US TV series' on an IPTV box, the rest of the family are watching Thai TV or playing games I'm the only one affected. Found out during a speed check NT are using a 3BB server in Nakhon Sawan as one of their connection hubs.
Have no trouble watching live channels from Australia.

I applied for my retirement extension a few days ago, using the 65k method, at Jomtien Immigration.
They required me to show both the statement from the Thai bank (which, btw, took a week to get...no-one mentioned that part to me lol)...and also some proof of where the funds were coming *from*.
Two caveats here: The guy next door that helped me prepare the documents for immigration asked me what they wanted and seem perplexed, indicating that he seemed to have not heard of this before. So it could just be my immigration guy had a bug up his ass. He seemed pleasant enough but...I don't know.
The other caveat is that the only thing I had available on my phone were some withdrawal alerts that matched up with the amounts and dates. I asked if that would be ok or if I needed to go home and print off a year of statements from the originating bank. He accepted them. Not sure if that means my extension is likely approved or not. We will see in a few days.
I know it's Jomtien as you say, but I still don't understand the delay.
I've used 4 different offices for annual retirement extensions and all of them approved on the spot and stamped the passport accordingly. Normally only takes about 30-40 mins in the office. Also with a Non-B and work permit, extension approved and passport stamped all in one 30-40 minute visit.

Retirement is simply 50+ (correct provided you can meet the financial requirements)
Not working in TH (correct)
Unless having a permit to do (then you won't be on retirement as the labor office will not issue you with a Work Permit - been there and done that)
