1) I have heard that an expired DL cannot be renewed, you have to start the process all over again. Is that correct? My 5 year DL expired in November as I was not in the country. Starting everything over with my national DL would be very tedious for me. 2) Do I really need a 90-day notification? That is not so. I applied today at 10am UTC for the very first time. No tricks. No space in the passport number. I got the registration and the approval mail with a valid QR-Code instantly. The software was nice to me. No human action cab be so quick. I suppose the reason is, as someone already wrote: At least for people with EU certificate. Good luck for all. I feel with you.
