  1. Back in the olden days in the US, you pulled up to the pump. An attendant came out, pumped the gas, checked tire (tyre) pressure and checked oil. Then you paid and you were on your way. Today you pull up to the pump, either go inside and prepay or use a credit/debit card that you insert into the pump. No chance of running off. No attendant. Good for the station owner but I hope Thailand doesn’t adapt this program but over time they will. Not only this but supermarkets the same thing. Scan your purchases. Pay with a card. Pack your stuff. Never see an attendant.

    MRT

I made my trip and yes the MRT was not crowed. Seats were available but I chose to stand away from everyone. The MRT is convenient and clean. Not expensive.
  3. I received the message on the line app about 30 minutes after receiving the scam email. I deleted it so I can’t tell you the address but I’ll see if I can find it. I’ll PM you.
  4. I left from O’hare last December. When I showed Korean Air the test report, nowhere on the report did it say RT-PCR. My fault for not checking. They would not let us board the flight. This was three hours before flying. I asked what could I do and was handed a business card from a lab. They would come get you, take you to the lab for a test and have the results back in one hour. Got back to the airport and in one hour received an email with the results. Showed the airline and was good to go. It was about $200 for the test and ride. Was a little apprehensive about this but it was legit . I suspect all the airlines have these cards. I couldn’t wait 24 hours for result from a test at the airport.
  5. I believe if you have a Microsoft 365 Family or Personal, it comes with 60 minutes a month on Skype. To landlines and mobile.

    MRT

Has anyone used the MRT in Bangkok lately. I’m curious on how crowded it would be from Morchit to Lumpini 10:30 AM and again 2:00 PM. on the return. This would be on this Monday. If it’s packed with people I’ll take a taxi. Thanks
  8. I’m thinking it may have been through the hotel I booked with. As soon as I booked I got the line message offering to help with the pass. I still get messages from them and I have to say they are very informative.
  9. If by “OP” you mean me, no I did not use their services. I filled out the information in Thai Pass on my own,,
  10. I don’t know about swept under the rug. I was informed.
  11. I just received an email supposedly from Thailand Pass that said “ There is a problem related to the request, please download the attachment and update the information” It also said it must be downloaded to a PC, not a cell phone. Sounds fishy. I then received a line message from. AQ.in.th warning of a scam. The message referred to the exact email I received. I just returned to Thailand a month ago and had used the Thailand Pass. Beware. Not sure what forum to use but this needs to get out.
  12. Don’t know the answer to that. I have a Non O so I didn’t need the health insurance but because of Covid, I did need the Covid insurance.
  13. Had both. Visa was set to expire on January 16. Left the U.S. on December 27 so only needed the insurance until my visa expiration date.
  14. I used AXA Insurance. 30 days for 2250 baht. Very easy. Paid with a bank transfer from Bangkok Bank. They immediately emailed the finished paper work. The Thai Pass is very simple to fill out.
  15. Got my first test in Bangkok. The hotel gave me a list of provenances where I can get the 2nd RT-PCR test for free by presenting the pink slip I received at the airport. Ubon provenance was not listed. Has anyone been tested in Ubon using the pink slip for a free test?
  16. Like always, there may be several things that can cause this. For me it was the check valve at the bottom of the well. When I pulled up the pipe, the check valve was gone. Some how it broke off. Every time the pump shut off, the water drained quickly back into the ground and the pump would come back on. Over and over again. I replaced it and was good to go.
  17. Question. When talking about insurance, are they talking Health Insurance or Covid Insurance or a policy that covers both? Thai company or any company? Thanks
  18. Had two injections. No symtoms of any kind.
  19. I had both Pfizer vaccines and had absolutely no side effects. Nothing
