Watch the video of the interior carefully. The Brit goons harassed 3 farang bar patrons in addition to the Thais.

Meanwhile, one of Mr. Mahoney’s friends chose not to report the crime or identify himself due to safety and privacy concerns and is reportedly no longer in  Pattaya. This is believed to be the man on video seen shoving another customer out of the bar before the confrontation with the guards.

i missed such  a video of customer pushing and hitting goon in the nose......do you have link to this video.

the video clip i see from inside bar shows whiteshirt twice retreating from goons and also shows greyshirt trying to restrain goons.

whiteshirt then decides to stand up for himself and raises his elbow at goon who then pushes him under the armpit and then threatens with his fist - whiteshirt and goon then go on street for a punch up........2 other goons quickly follow making it 3 on 1.

greyshirt then follows to try and help whiteshirt but also gets dropped and set upon with punches and kicks to the head from several goons.

the rest is plain to see.

Brit black shirt charges and pushes himself against a bar patron. Brit white shirt grabs a phone from another bar patron and throws it on the table. Then Brit white shirt threatens the cashier. Later Brit black shirt shoves another bar patron right out of the bar. Brit grey shirt moves aggressively against 2 security guys. Brit white shirt threatens security guy with his elbow.

Then <deleted> kicks off. But before it did the Brit goons harassed 3 bar patrons, the cashier and the security guys.

  3. No one knows the 3 lads' names. If they lodge a formal complaint then everyone will know their names and that they paid for the company of prostitutes.

Imagine someone doing a Google search on your name and the first thing that comes up is a Daily Mail article about you getting your ass kicked after a night out drinking and whoring.

Perhaps the Thai police are counting on this.

  4. The Thai are descended from a much larger group of Tai-speaking peoples. The latter are found from extreme northeastern India in the west to northern Vietnam in the east and from southern China in the north to as far south as the central Malay Peninsula. In the past, scholars held that a parent group called the Proto-Tai originated in southern China and pushed southward and westward from the China landmass into northern mainland Southeast Asia. Most scholars now believe that the Tai came from northern Vietnam around the Dien Bien Phu area and that about 1,000 years ago they spread from there northward into southern China; westward into southwestern China, northern Myanmar (Burma), and northeastern India; and southward into what are now Laos and Thailand.

Nice numbers! Farangs "living" in Thailand, and the spending of Chinese "overseas".

    Two different scales.

    You've "assimilated" to Thai calculating?

If they're legalising casinos, some Chinese might come even twice to Thailand, instead to Sihanoukville, or "overseas".

The potheads getting milked one more high season. Maybe even longer, but only

If the revenue gets lined into the correct coffers. Pathetic, or desperate, while facing the looming recession? I'm not sure.

I'm comparing the two here because it seems that a lot of AN posters that live in Thailand believe that if they leave, Thailand will be in a lot of trouble economically. They are delusional. They also believe that Thais focus too much on attracting Chinese tourists. I also linked a report on Thailand tourist income by country of origin. I'm just using actual US Dollars to show that Chinese tourists > European tourists > farang immigrants.

Oh, if Thailand made casinos legal, Chinese will spend even more money in Thailand.

Chinese who spend the 250 billion USD overseas do not spend it in Thailand. They go elsewhere and buy luxury goods and stay in 5 star hotels .In Thailand they’re on bus tours and buying latex pillows.

So the Chinese still spent 18 billion USD in Thailand vs 15 billion USD from ALL European tourists in 2019. Thailand does seems to be trying hard to get the rest of the 232 billion from the Chinese though.

What would happen to Thailand's economy if all those pesty, dirty farangs would leave the country?? Given that there are only 250.000 farangs live here and spend 2000 ponds/month? Thats 1.8750.000.000 Bath per month. I reckon Anutin should think twice🙏

If 250,000 farangs living in Thailand spent $3,000 per month that would be $9 billion USD per year. Thailand's annual GDP is 500 billion USD per year. All those farang "supporting" the Thai economy makes up 1.8% of it.

In 2019, Chinese tourists spent 250 billion USD overseas, beating out American tourists. I'm not surprised Thailand is more focused on getting Chinese tourists and less on keeping farang immigrants.

  8. I heard that a taxi driver in Bangkok got fined 2000 baht for killing a farang pedestrian. That's it. 2000 baht.

When I cross the street my head is on a swivel. I probably look left and right 6 times before I get to the other side of the street.

My wife occasionally gets reports from our local area of some Japanese people who are completely isolated and lonely and suddenly died. They rely on the local Thai people to help them with their final hospital stay and passing.

Meh, some people want to be far away from their relatives.

Reminds me of a line in the Morris Panych's play Vigil: I'm sorry I said all those awful things to you but I thought you were a relative.

Also reminds me of my favorite line in Jean-Paul Sartre's play No Exit: Hell is other people.
