Well, you can still do everything right and still die. A 73 year old Swiss cyclist was killed in Bangkok a couple of weeks ago by a hit and run driver. What was he doing? Exercising. Ironic, huh? Two decades ago, I asked a friend's uncle why did he buy lunch everyday. Wasn't it cheaper to bring something from home? He said he wanted to enjoy his lunches because he might die from a heart attack at any time. A decade later he died of a heart attack while hunting. I think someone in their 60s like your friend know what kind of compromises he is willing to make. Also, if your friend has been in Thailand for awhile he has already partied like a rockstar. It may or may not be his time to go, but if he has to go--he partied like a rockstar.

Oh, I had a heart attack and got bypass surgery. I showed those doctors though! Now I'm taking a bunch of pharmaceuticals whereas the only thing I took regularly before was a daily multivitamin. I was and still am pretty lazy in terms of physical exercise. Physical exercise >>> drugs But you can't outrun a bad diet.

I had 2 Samsonite hard shells crack. One of the times was on Airasia. Airasia offered a maximum of 500 baht. I switched to the Osprey Sojourn 80L. No problems so far.

Swiss Man Who ‘Kicked’ Doctor Loses Visa, 2nd Swiss Man Too Could Do So

Correct, only public opinion. So in Thailand, court of public opinion >>>>> court of law. Also, since elections are back on the menu, public opinion is even more important. -
Swiss Man Who ‘Kicked’ Doctor Loses Visa, 2nd Swiss Man Too Could Do So

As farang likes to say, "If you don't like it here you can go back to your own country." Why expect a foreign country to change to suit your preferences? If you get into trouble in Thailand, don't ever forget that the judge and jury(the public) are Thai. In California, a white male initially got away with knocking out a Mexican woman in a bar. One member of the jury actually said "Why should he lose his job over a Mexican?" -

The German word for it is schadenfreude. Translates to "harm joy". Your harm. My joy. Ironically, the Swiss men would 100% understand this concept. -

Some more detail from: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?ref=saved&v=419778263900124 What is interesting is the multiple incidents of misconduct, totaling 3-4 times. Police Colonel Itthipol Itthisaranachai, Superintendent of Immigration Division 6, disclosed the progress regarding the revocation of the visa of Mr. David, a 45-year-old Swiss national and suspect in the assault case against a female doctor in Phuket province. Recently, they received a report from the immigration chief regarding the withdrawal of the visa of the aforementioned Swiss individual after receiving letters from the provincial governor of Phuket and the provincial police. The report highlighted the individual's behavior, indicating multiple incidents of misconduct, totaling 3-4 times, which adversely affected the peace and happiness of the people in the country, posing a threat to society. Consequently, his retirement visa, allowing permanent residency in Thailand, has been revoked. Furthermore, following these steps, the police officers from the immigration division will notify Mr. David today about the revocation of his visa. Mr. David has the right to appeal within 48 hours. Additionally, he has the right to stay in the country because there are still pending assault cases against the female doctor. Mr. David also has the right to post bail to fight the case and remain in Thailand until the case is concluded. Afterward, there will be arrangements for his deportation.
