  1. How did they know it was in the tank? I'm surprise they didn't just let it get infused in the water for medicinal value.
  2. Their bullet proof vests don't look like they can stop anything more than paint pallets. May be BBs. Did the funds for actual properly plated vests turn into a gilded lining in someone's pocket? Hmm..
  3. When they run a mafia-like syndicate and resort to harassment, violence and thuggery to "protect" it, yes, they absolutely earned the right to be called low-life or worse.
  4. It always amazes me how the vehicles manage to drive through the floods. Most cars in the US would stall out at the same water levels. I'm beginning to think the cars are built differently or the Thai drivers know something we don't. ????
  5. It's ALWAYS been like this. I remember from the late 1970s.
  6. Thailand's never seen an MOU they didn't like.
  7. Sir, have meetings resolved your internal conflicts? Or are you just takinig full advantage of the new loose weed law?
  8. Depends on the consulate of your jurisdiction. Mine through Chicago took exactly 1 week (including the 3-day weekend) earlier this month. I got mine 4 hours before the flight departure time. ???? Having been hassled at BKK recently, I'll be doing the visa route everytime. It's cheaper and hassle-free compared to doing an extention (on normal a 30 day stamp) But if you have not been coming in frequently on visa exemptions, you should be fine, if the 45-day stamp works for you. There has not been a definite announcement as to if the extension will be 30 days or 45 days. I've heard both from speculators. Just assume 30 days for now. As for TM30, I never worried about it nor needed to show to anyone in my 30+ years of coming to Thailand and doing MANY extensions. But YMMV, as always in the Kingdom. Have a safe and pleasant trip.
  9. The last time I entered on an exempt, I felt like smart mouthing the IO <deleted> back "I thought you need tourists to come and spend money. Wasn't that the reason for your government easing the entry requirements? Would you like me to take my thousands of USD to Cambodia instead?" It was only my second entry since the pandemic started, for crying out loud. Right now I'm on a 60-day SETV and not a word uttered this time. $40 is definitely cheaper than 1,900B, and more importantly not having to deal with the hassle of going to immigration, time savings, etc. Definitely a no brainer going forward, at least for me.
  10. Another easy money scheme to line the pockets of a few. Completely shameless but brilliant con minds nevertheless.
  11. Pressure is mounting, eh? ???? It would be nice to have a direct flight from the US, though.
  12. I am more entertained by the writing style of the author(s) of some of these articles. I'm sure my American compatriots would agree.
  13. Couldn't settle for a bouquet of flowers and a wai? Where does an Indian come up with 200k? An average Indian tourist in Pattaya shakes at spending 200 baht on anything.
  14. I've been grabbed by bar girls and LBs hundreds of times over the years but never thought to go to the police. Shoudn't it go both ways? It especially pisses me off when the LBs grab me.
  15. If judged by the number of gold necklaces being snatched off quality tourists, it's plausible.
  16. Funny. That's what my Thai ex-gf said when I wanted to walk away. Thai men always ready and happy to gang up on a foreigner.
  17. Rather than people's opinions on a forum, the gospel's in the horse's mouth - Thai MOFA. And the Info from the US embassy for Americans.
  18. They're just bad news. Nothing good can happen associating with them.
  19. Just a smoky illution they're putting up for the appearance of impartiality. We all know how they are ultimately going to rule.
  20. I'm less sure about that everyday, sadly.
  21. My apologies about the dups. Technical difficulties. ????
