  1. My sister-in-law sometimes reminds me of one....got to give this proposal some thought.
  2. People who own dogs, people who are comfortable or familiar with handling dogs may be perceived differently by dogs. Enough that someone is afraid, stressed, aggressive or whatever and the dog might misinterpret the situation.
  3. As the article demonstrates, 'the locals' sometimes do stupid thing.
  4. Ever tries to pull out a pepper spray out of your pocket/bag while a couple of pit bulls were jumping on you...? It only works if you're ready. And if you spray it right.
  5. Just a word of caution for those contemplating poison and so on. For one thing, it's a crime. Regardless of what the dog did. Second, you may easily 'miss' the target, especially if talking about strays. Had that in our Bangkok street years ago. The dogs weren't even the issue. Just the usual neighbor feud. Neighbor A was caught on camera tossing the poison near the gate of Neighbor B. One of neighbor A's dogs managed to eat one and died a horrible death, the rest fell outside the gate so two street dog died as well. And our landlord's golden got real sick. Police was called, and Mr. B spent a few months in prison, fines too. No one talked to him after that.
  6. That's just you tossing words about, as usual. A lot? OK...how many are 'a lot'? How do the figures measure vs. those supporting the campaign? Genocide? What genocide? Are you suggesting the the Palestinian people will not exist after this campaign? If it was about genocide, there's be far more casualties in a way shorter time. How would a 'more targeted approach' would be carried out, given the situation? Mass murderer? Do you consider all them POTUS who held office during war to be mass murderers? Even if you affirm that, by the way, I'd venture yours is a minority take.
  7. Enough to make it paid permit thing, including show of proper facilities etc. That would cut out most owners who can't handle them, and would make them less common.
  8. They might be - but it's extremely unlikely you'll do anything. You do not have a tiger, trained or otherwise. Also, a tiger will require a special permit. That would have been a good point in the context of the topic, but you didn't make it.
  9. Check his background....he's on a mission. Doesn't mean Iran isn't 'bad', but maybe not as involved as he tries to claim. There's not much in the piece that actually supports this, even.
  10. Yeah, dog like that need a strong willed, knowledgeable owner. And they take more care (exercise, for example) than your 'regular' dog. Was never keen on pit bulls, though - can't get what's on their minds sometimes. We did have GSD's, a boxer and a huge mongrel. The current one is just a cutey - fits nicely with our current energy level. Even so, when strangers enter the property - she's always leashed, and we warn people not to just go and pet her or something. The owner of the dogs is definitely responsible, no matter how they 'escaped'. The dogs....I dunno, maybe they can be put to use guarding some prison or army base.
  11. I wonder what it would be like for the owner of the dogs to continue living there after that. Same for the dead guy's family.
  12. I'm actually entitled (at least the agent/lawyer dealing with it thinks so) to an Ukrainian citizenship. Was given a heads-up on this and advised to put the process on hold, which I did. His view was that while I won't be actually called for service, this could cause complications down the line.
  13. @thaibeachlovers You complain when Israel offers war. You complain when Israel offers a 'pause'.

  15. People often use this daft argument about 'after the Nazis'. Human nature ain't like that. As for Netanyahu being a 'genocidal freak' - care to elaborate? I mean, he's many bad things, but 'genocidal'? How so? The 'sympathy from the Hamas attacks' would have evaporated anyway. It was just a question of time. If there was no war, if Israel would have done nothing whatsoever, it would have evaporated as well, as the news cycle would have turned to other stories. The interesting thing about this is how long it persisted, indicating that something was different this time. Bad actions have consequences is something which Hamas ought to contemplate.
  16. When there will be an ICC investigation into things, and the issue of 'war crimes' decided, then you'll have a point. Until then, your opinion - not fact.
  17. Read your own post again. Apologists and so on. There you go. Not too complicated.
  18. The total population in the area, back in 1948 was about 2 million. Figures referring to Nakba usually cite figures such as 750,000. A two-state solution does not entail the return of all these people, or their decedents.
  19. You may think you do. In effect, a lot of your comment are unclear, incorrect, include various unfounded assumptions, use terminology in a carefree way and so on. I get it that you have a very good opinion of your posts and posting style - I simply do not agree.
