    How come English speakers are incomprehensible to others?

    Im norwegian living in thailand.

    Used to speak english with foreign customers in norway, british, american, whatsoever.

    I have a great british friend here in thailand, and i enjoy our conversations.

    However he comes from north london and speak dialect. Definately not easy to under understand, but always get the meaning :-)

    Guess we norwegians, meeting a foreigner try speak norwegian would have tried speak to him in "standard norwegian". But can understand easy to forget.

    And also-we can ask polite:"can you please try speak without your dialect, so more easy for me to understand :-)

    Dane released from Detention Center in Bangkok

    Danish businessman Stig Wulff was Tuesday morning 21 November 2023 released from the Detention Center of the Thai Immigration Police in Bangkok after having been imprisoned for almost two months in the overcrowded facility.

     

    From the day his lawyer was told he could be released on a guarantee amount of 120.000 THB, it took almost a month until it finally happened. The bail was collected among Stig’s  family in Denmark and his Danish friends in Thailand and transferred to his lawyer about two weeks ago.

     

    During the next month, he will have to report to the immigration police twice, before he will eventually attend the court meeting in Samui on 21 December 2023 to hear the outcome of his appeal case in the criminal case against him and his Thai wife for having fraudulently caused his former business partner to loose ownership of the resort, they owned together on Koh Phangan.

    Was absolutely NOT impressive for a "businessman" to need a month to raise thb 120.000. AND need to turn to family and danish friends....

    Have you double checked if the money REALLY have left your account ??

    Because 2 ting to be aware of :

    when use atm money is redused from "amount to use" at once.

    It dont REALLY leave your accont before nxt day-or monday if done in weekends.

    This deduction can last (in norway) up to 3 days before disappear in system.

    it can happen due to some technical difficulty or offline situation.

    check account if "balance" and "amount to use" is the same.

    Also, if not ok, visit the bank who owns the atm monday morning.

    if atm done wrong it will have 8000 to much in its safe..

    i know, been working with stuff like this "for a lifetime" :-)

    (for bank its worse having "to much money" than to little. Bad publicity :-) )
