  1. Hi Forum,

I will be purchasing a new Forza 350 soon and wanted to know how do most folks secure their bikes when around town and out shopping or at the beach.  I dont what to come back from shopping and find that my brand new expensive bike has been stolen.  Any advice will help.

Why would you go to a gogo bar with Asian gf? Are you ugly? Much more fun on tinder.

Really?  there is no comparison between gogo bars and tinder in the amount of fun one can have inside such a establishment. Multiple beers, multiple ladies to touch and talk with. test the goods before you take the goods..haha and for am i ugly...why does that matter? the chaps i see with the ladies, shows me the ladies don't care about the size of your belly but your wallet..haha

Plenty of fun to be had in go-gos or bars as a couple. Different places have different styles - types of lady, music, comfort, prices, ages etc. Go in and just walk out if it doesn't look good or feel right for you. Plenty of bars will be welcoming too. Have you considered "gentlemen's" clubs? A more discreet and cosy environment and many ladies in those like ladies too. Happy hunting!

Have not thought about that. Any you would recommend?

  4. Married foreign couple (wife is Asian but not Thai) looking to have fun times at the local gogo bars but not sure if they allow married couples inside or they do so reluctantly.  Looking for recommendations of the best bars for a foreign married couple to have fun with the local ladies.  Any advice and/or concerns you can provide will be much appreciated.  Thanks

stay in both for 3 months agian and then make your choice.

** although, it won't be a fair assessment as both are empty right now.  Once people start visiting again it changes the whole nuance of each place.

Like right now, I live in central Pattaya off the sea in a high rise and love it.  Walking distance to anything I want daily.  But add back all the traffic  and the foul sewage smell and no way in the world would I live this location.

so at the high of tourism, where would you prefer to live?

What's your budget? Jomtien is cheap and attracts mostly pensioners who don't want to or can't afford to live in Pattaya but want to be close.

Jomtien itself is dead though, great if you like it quite

3000USD. looking for an house as two dogs will be adopted.

  7. Foreign married couple of 30 years, moving to Thailand under their retirement visa and having a difficult time where to settle down between Jomtien or Phuket.  The couple have been to both places for significant amounts of time and loves both for each specifics regional attractions.  For those expats that have lived in either location, can you indicate which place you live and why you choose to stay?  Thanks so much

one word dont if you value your life

Thailand is no worse than driving a scooter in Vietnam, which i rode there for over 3 years with out any incidents. just pay attention to the way others drivers will drive and try to anticipate their next move and you will be fine and also alot of head turning.

    Dear Newbie

I am concerned for your safety if you need to ask on TV which bike is suitable for you !

Do you have a full bike license ? Can you ride a bike with gears ? Have you thought about luggage considerations and how much you want / need to carry ?

If you really want to go touring in comfort, then you are going to need at least a 500cc and preferably something more like a 650cc. I am not aware of any of the "scooter no gears" style bikes that come with good luggage configurations, so you would have to look at something like the Kawasaki Versys 650. A very reliable bike with loads of 3rd party luggage solutions.

If you really can't face the gears and clutch, then look at the Honda NC700X DCT. It looks like a real bike but is automatic. Givi do several luggage options for it.

My wife and I travel extensively by bike all over the World, and even when staying in B&B's you are going to need 2 good size panniers and a topbox. You need to think about clothing, wet and dry, small stash of spares, ( bulbs, cable ties, duct tape,)  puncture repair kit with tyre irons, and compressor as a minimum. You also need to practice mending a puncture before you set off !

    Good luck !!

the bike will mostly be used in the pattaya area and as far south as Rayong and far north as Chon Buri, we will use our SUV for longer trips outside those areas. and yes i dont want to worry about changing gears.

OP was is your level of experience?

Well maybe wasting time, because not so long time ago a newbie asked for advice and he ended up buying a Honda Goldwing, ha-ha, not sure if he was trolling or not but he sounded serious.

So how did you find the Forza 300? The new 350 got about 4hp more, will that be enough with 29hp 2up?

Honda 500X got a bit more hp and will be better suited for 2up touring, Versys650 even more.

I have more than 15 years expericence riding motorbikes within many countries including Thailand.  We have fun with the Forza and seriously looking at the Forza 350 for a new purchase but just wanted to check around with the community first.  I would love to take a drive to Phuket from Pattaya but just a little hestiate.
